The request is for volunteers to aid in the search for about 4 hours. Officials are looking for individuals over 18-years-of-age to walk areas that are rough terrain and long distances. Appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn.

Volunteers are asked to meet at either the Winona County-Goodview Fire Department, located at 4135 5th St. in Winona or Fillmore County Rushford-Peterson School, 1000 Pine Meadows Lane in Rushford. There will be two times to report to volunteer, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at each location.

By Thursday evening, nearly a thousand individuals have signed up to volunteer to search and still authorities tell us they are in need of volunteers.

Volunteers will be assigned to a search area and will be bussed to that area.

”We will be deploying some drones tomorrow we have several drone teams coming in from area, the sheriffs offices and other groups,”

1,000 volunteers AND drones is amazing!

#FindMaddi

ETA: They got that many just today, right? If so, that could increase substantially by tomorrow afternoon. :)

I wish M could know. Whatever horrible thing happened to her, the helpers have arrived. Your babies are safe. (I hope.)

We know she was last seen at the daycare, DO we know if she actually made it home and at 8:15am? Her stuff is there but did she make it home? The time frame could actually be 8am at daycare and then ????. Who is saying she was at the her house at 8:15? I don't know if I'm making this more difficult on myself but was there CCTV or neighbors who saw her? IMO

A 26-year-old mother of two from Minnesota has been missing for almost a week in what local police are describing as 'suspicious' circumstances after her phone and wallet were found in her house.
Red bolding mine.
Her family look utterly devastated, as if this is unprecedented and out of character for her !

I doubt Madeline left of her own volition; but would love to be wrong.
Still hoping for good news.
M00.
Quoting my own post to say that there are only pics of her and the children on her facebook.

Also, at the link in my post, it didn't appear that the dad of the kids was at the presser ?
:(

I thought LE verified this ?
And if so ... maybe she was seen on someone's door camera ?
Imo.

Here’s what we know so far about the circumstances of Kingsbury’s disapperance.

  • 8 a.m. — Police said that on March 31, Kingsbury and her children’s father dropped off their kids at daycare.
“Maddi did not show up for work, which is very unlike her, and we are worried for her safety,” explained Winona Police Chief Tom Williams.

  • 8:15 a.m. — Police say they’ve learned Kingsbury returned home after dropping her kids off that morning in her 2014 dark blue Chrysler Town & Country van.
“During the course of our investigation, we know that Maddi returned to her residence on Kerry Drive in Winona around 8:15 a.m. on March 31st,” the chief added.

  • 10 a.m. — The father of Maddi’s children told law enforcement that he left the residence in Maddi’s van around 10 a.m. and upon returning later in the day, “Maddi was not home.”
  • Between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. — Police added that a ‘vehicle matching Kingsbury’s van’ was spotted on County Road 12 and Highway 43 in Winona County and south on Highway 43 in eastern Fillmore County. Later, a van similar to Madeline’s traveled back toward Winona on Highway 43.
“We believe the van remained parked in the driveway of Maddie’s residence from 1:30 p.m. on.”

Thanks for the link, @PommyMommy !
Here's where LE verified that she returned home.

However, does "they've learned " ; mean someone told them ... or that she was seen on a security camera ?

LE says they know she returned home @ 8:15am. I don't recall if they've shared how they know that. MOO

I can't get past this: children left at daycare, with no one coming to get them.

Let that sink in.

This was a major red flag in the Jennifer Brown case also. Devoted Moms don't miss picking up their kids, they make other arrangements.

What strikes me, is it seems there was zero attempt to cover this up. Leaving her cell phone, wallet, and jacket worn that morning in the house is a dead giveaway. Could point to heat of passion DV and a frantic attempt to hide a body.

I also am very familiar with the area. I live 2 hrs north of Winona, but have family in that vicinity. My thoughts right away was the Mississippi River is so close. It's expected to flood very soon, that would be awful. But the miles of woods & hills is just as bad. I wish all volunteers & LE best of luck in your search.

I can’t get past this either.
Surely someone had the kids all weekend until Maddi was reported missing (eg their father).
- If their father picked them up from daycare, and he was meant to pick them up that day, why wasn’t he on time?
- If Maddi was meant to pick them up, didn’t show, and the father then got a phone call to get the kids, why wouldn’t he then immediately raise the alarm/report her missing?
- If a third party eg. Grandparents picked the kids up after a phone call from daycare (emergency contact), the same stands, why wouldn’t they report Maddi missing right away? Unless it was the father’s parents (Maddi’s in laws) and they had no reason to suspect anything was amiss.

Maddi was expected at work, so it wasn’t as if she’d taken the day off to go somewhere and was expected to be away. It seems totally uncharacteristic. How could that not have raised alarms?

If the police helicopters and other aerial searches don't find any evidence of recently disturbed land about 6ft X 2ft, then I think she may have been hidden in outbuildings.

Hi Everyone,
(PLEASE DO NOT DISCUSS DONATIONS ON THIS THREAD. CLICK HERE FOR DISCUSSION)
Websleuths is very expensive to run. Most months we make enough to pay for the server, pay the IT guy, and a bit of money left over for me for some bills or food. This way I can keep Websleuths free for everyone.
There are months when this is not the case.
I recently pre-paid the server fee and almost all I owed our IT guy. I knew the money coming in for the month from advertising would not cover the bills but I thought I had another revenue stream coming in so I wasn't worried. That revenue stream didn't happen.

Basically, I need donations to cover the server and what I owe the IT and a bit extra for my groceries.

I have provided Websleuths free for almost 20 years (since 2004) and will do my best to keep Websleuths free for members and visitors.

This month we need 2700 dollars to keep Websleuths running. I don't know what next month's ad dollars will be. Hopefully, you won't be hearing from me.

Let me stress if you cannot afford a donation please do not send anything. I understand times are hard.

When we reach our goal I will announce it and stop accepting donations. It is urgent however that we raise the money as fast as possible.

Please use PayPal Pay Websleuths.com, LLC using PayPal.Me

Last week Madeline posted this in her LinkedIn account - “Hello Friends - I am currently searching for remote research related or public health positions - if your company is hiring please send the details my way.”
So she posted on her Facebook she was searching for a new place to stay, and posted on her LinkedIn she was searching for a new remote job.

It doesn't sound like she was in a good position in many ways.

What looks like a fresh start can often be the most dangerous time for a woman.

Whoever disappeared M was likely knew she wouldn't be able to pick the children up from daycare .... and was OK with that. Something especially disturbing about that to me. Knowing children would be waiting for mommy....

Cold.

I just started following this sad case yesterday and I'm just wondering, the person driving her van the day she went missing, has he offered up to LE each and every stop on his 3+ hour time frame that day?
