This is sincerely evil.
What would possess someone to fire randomly on a school full of young children while they are celebrating mass? Breaking stained glass windows and spreading violence during the most sacred of celebrations….
It’s truly sickening.

I’m assuming this is a young man who is well versed in violent video games & possibly a former student of the school?
We have become desensitized by the utterly violent junk on TV, the cra* that Hollywood spits out, disgustingly graphic and violent video games and music lyrics.

My heart cries for our children and future generations.
Parents need to sensor their children’s media consumption.
It’s a slippery slope.

In 5th grade I went to Woolworths and purchased an Alice Cooper “Billion Dollar Babies” album. When my mother saw it she marched me back to Woolworths and made them refund my money while bitching at them for selling smut to a 10 year old.
At the time I was embarrassed but it set the bar. My mom didn’t have the luxury of staying home- she worked full time and more- but she was relentless in being sure I didn’t do drugs and didn’t delve into evil. Grateful for her firm hand.

My heart aches for these children, this school and church, this community.
This is honestly one of the sickest premeditated acts of corruption I have been privy to
hearing about.

My son goes to a pre-k - 8th Catholic school. They have a few police officers that monitor the school all day. I'm not sure if they guard the church during Mass, though.

I apologize for any offense taken. It’s a dumb story from years ago that influenced me.

My mom didn’t listen to the lyrics. All she had to do was look at the photos on the album- naked crying babies with black painted around their eyes.
I didn’t say the album was evil smut- my mom simply recognized that something was not right with the graphics and it was sick for a ten year old to consume.

Mom also stopped me from throwing a doodle bug into the flames of my dad’s barbecue grill when I was very young. She firmly told me that we respect all life and never kill innocent creatures (like roly poly doodle bugs) - I always remembered that lesson. I was really embarrassed for wanting to throw the bug into the fire after she was done.
I wish that these murderers who started out by hurting animals and escalated had a mom who firmly disavowed killing roly poly doodle bugs.

I’m trying to find some rationale for how someone becomes this type of a monster- to shoot up a school mass- and there is no rationale.
It’s a helpless feeling watching this senseless violence on repeat.

OMG I put his name into search on FB and there is a video that is absolutely disturbing. I don't know that it would be considered a manifesto, but it was just him showing all his weapons and he wrote messages on everything, the guns, the magazines, his headphones. He is talking during the entire thing and even cackling and what I would describe as an evil laugh. There is zero doubt in my mind that his person was seriously mentally ill. It's a shame that this person got to this point without receiving some type of help that would have prevented this horrific act.

It's a shame that this person got to this point without receiving some type of help that would have prevented this horrific act.

I wish, AGAIN, that families with family members suffering mental illness would PLEASE GET RID OF THEIR GUNS. Get all of them out of the house.

I realize we don't know if he used his own gun or a family member's gun. We will learn that eventually. And I'm not blaming anyone but the shooter.

But, for the safety for everyone, get rid of your guns if you live in a household with a troubled person. (Yes, I know shooters could obtain them elsewhere, but you'd know you did the right thing and didn't make it easy on someone who had plans to kill people.)

I wish people that are determined to do things like this would quit targeting children. It seems he had some issues/grievences and for whatever reason he felt wronged or whatever he had going on it certainly didn't have anything to do with innocent children. He likely did not know any of the children at that school. I don't wish a shooting on anyone, but I don't understand what someone hopes to gain out of this type of thing. If his issue was with his mother, then why not just target her? Again, I don't wish anyone to be harmed, but these sick individuals just target innocent children like it will make whatever issue they have going on better by doing this.

I guess trying to make sense of something that can't be made sense of just won't work. ugh

12:52 p.m. - Two sources familiar with the investigation into the shooting at Annunciation Church said Robin Westman, 23, of Richfield, is the suspected shooter.
Public records show Westman’s father, James Westman, owns a home in south Minneapolis, less than one mile from Annunciation. Police were stationed outside the home, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape.
Westman’s mother answered a cell phone call crying but told a Star Tribune reporter she did not know if her child was the shooter.
One source told the Star Tribune that Westman’s mother once worked at Annunciation. The church said in 2021 that Westman’s mother provided “wonderful hospitality” in a Facebook post announcing her departure.

Police identified Robin Westman, 23, as the shooter, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. One source told the Minnesota Star Tribune Westman’s mother once worked at Annunciation.

I just heard on Fox News that the shooter is using two names: Robert Westman and Robin Westman. This would make sense since I have read that he is a transgender person.

In 2020 his parents signed off to have his name changed from Robert to Robin because he identifies as a female. I have attached that document (2 pages).

Well this is just bizarre. Suicidal and talking about loving each other, the wonderful life he's had, his parents being good parents, etc.. then tells his siblings to grow up and forgive, but then he is taking out innocent children instead of just ending his own life?
