New here, and so very sad this has happened (again!).
What clinched it for me was reading Dad'd been "knocked unconscious" but had not been hospitalized. When one has taken a blow to the head hard enough to make one lose consciousness, there are clear after effects of it - headache, dizziness, neck pain, visual disturbances as well as possible hematomae.
I am both a student nurse and rider of horses. I've been thrown (badly) and lost consciousness briefly, and had to talk the ER doc out of admitting me (which one can do). But the after-effects took easily three weeks to clear, and I had headaches for nearly two months from the accident (although I was riding and at school two days later...).
And frankly, it isn't easy to lose consciousness...it takes a goodsized wallop (which will leave marks, if not bruises) to make one pass out (unless there are other factors - drugs, bp issues, et cetera) from a physical assault, and Dad didn't show any of that (from what I understand, and from his mugshot). Avieon Lewis' stepfather had more indication of possible LOC, and this guy has nothing visible.
God rest you, Little Eddie. May you now know the love and peace which you were denied on earth.
