Oh and Bassem Masri is out of jail as of today. However, his car was left on the side of the road where he was pulled over. When he got to it, all of his equipment and clothing had been stolen.

They have no suspects at this time.

Speaking of building relationships and prepping for the decision, these guys are coming this week. Originally, they weren't gong to come until the Ferguson October rally.

Leaders from the Ten Point Coalition, an Indianapolis-based anti-crime group, are heading to Ferguson, Mo., this week to meet with members of the troubled St. Louis suburb’s faith community.

Harrison said Ten Point ultimately wants to help Ferguson brace for the results of a grand jury investigation into Brown’s death.

“They tried to apologize but they didn’t make much headway,” said Harrison. “Seems like the people that were there demonstrating really didn’t want to hear that. The only thing that seems to satisfy them is that the officer who shot Michael Brown being arrested seems to be the only thing that will calm them down.”

“What seems to be absent right now is the lack of leadership and you really don’t have anybody in charge and some of the people who seem to be speaking, in my opinion, are encouraging this kind of disrespectful behavior we are seeing right now in Ferguson.”

Speaking of reporters and protestors in Ferguson

The incident sparked coverage by 44 news organizations, a community and two federal investigations, demonstrations, rioting and looting, and President Obama mentioned the incident in his speech to the U.N. General Assembly.

“I’m glad nobody was killed,” she said. “There are people who don’t know how to contain their rage.”
Eligon said, “There were young people there who wanted to confront police.”

Law enforcers showed restraint, Replogle said.

“There were hundreds of gunshots in Ferguson,” Carson said, and police showed restraint. “It was still non-lethal force being deployed against potentially lethal force.”

Ferguson officer had no time to activate camera during shooting

The officer stopped by the Community Center, in the 1000 block of Smith Avenue, about 9 p.m. Saturday as part of routine patrol duties and spotted a man running from the back of the building. The officer lost sight of him during a foot chase and was ambushed at the crest of a hill.

The man pointed a gun “inches from the officer’s chest,” Eickhoff said. The officer deflected the man’s hand and was shot once in the left arm. The bullet passed through, missing the bone and muscle.

The officer told investigators he believes he fired three shots back, Eickhoff said.

On live stream, protesters were telling LE that he actually shot at them the night he pulled the gun. They told LE... we have video of it..oh, we can't find it right now! :gaah:
I saw that-it was so funny. Loudly proclaiming we have video -then oops-no we have a picture-then the officer looking at it points out that you could not see finger on the trigger as claimed-oops again. And that was the end of that.

The last couple of nights, more than ever before, some of the protestors seemed cranky about the live streamers taping them there. Some called for them to 'turn them cameras off, fool'....others said 'turn the sound down for a minute, please...' and there'd be a quick convo with no sound.

So it is interesting that there dont seem to be any livestreams right now

Oh, yeah. That prompted a lot of online discussion and official response today.

Magee says @MariaChappelleN "hasn't talked to anyone in this office or [anyone] involved w/ the case." Re: this: twitter.com/MariaChappelle…

Magee: prosecutor's office
Maria Chappelle Nadal: local politician and protestor

McCulloch spox Ed Magee on D. Wilson grand jury concluding: "It’s completely wrong. ... We’re still presenting evidence to the grand jury."

McCulloch spokesman says those claiming grand jury hearing Darren Wilson case has concluded "Couldn't be more wrong."

I wonder if there's a point where her instigating riots and her and staff's participation in protests and obstructing traffic will have professional consequences. At this point, Chief Jackson, Magee, and McCulloch have had to tamp down her false information.

This was in the above linked article in relation to the off duty officer that was shot on 170

In an unrelated shooting, an off-duty St. Louis city police officer sustained minor injuries from flying glass when shots were fired into his personal car from another vehicle as they headed west on Interstate 70 between Hanley Road and I-170 about midnight.

At least three handguns fired shots at that officer, according to a police source. St. Louis County police said it was not clear if the officer was the intended victim or a random target.
