That's not true, CMac2. You brought up rumors about Wilson in your first post that was so attacking it had to be pulled down.

IIRC, the Ferguson wide receiver tells a story of when he was driving home from practice, and was following his Dad and Officer Darren Wilson pulled him over. ! The officer claimed the kid was speeding and ran the red light. Naturally, his Dad gets out of the other car to defend his kid. Allegedly, Darren Wilson was aggressive to both and put the Dad in the back of the Police Car.

I don't see anything at all unusual or unethical in that behavior by OW. Why wouldn't he do so. I think that is protocol. And what they claim is aggressive is likely just the way one officer has to behave, when facing an angry father, coming out of another vehicle.

Most likely, since the kid was following the dad, he ran thr light trying to keep up. I have done that very thing myself, and was ticketed for it.

You could be right. Or OW could have abused his authority in that instance as well. Regardless, I'm sure everyone would agree that that is an incident that at a minimum needs to be followed up on. If there's nothing to it, great. If there is, well great.

I guess it was her 🤬🤬🤬🤬 group that harassed, intimidated and detained that driver.

Interesting they didn't make note of her KKK comment.

Good catch.

That's not really how the story went. First of all, the kid and his father both claim he didn't run the stop sign (it wasn't a light). Not that I expect anyone to believe either of them, but that's what they claim. Second of all, according to the father and son, the Officer became absolutely apoplectic about the fact that the father wanted to witness the interaction the officer was having with his son. The father offered to stay in his car, and therefore out of the way. The officer refused to allow it, handcuffed the father, and threw him into the back of the police car. He was never charged with a crime, and according to his statement, in no way threatened or confronted the officer. Again, I know better than to imagine 99% of the people in this forum will believe any of that, but the point was to let TheDuchess know that yes, stories about OW do exist, contrary to what she previously believed.

It almost doesn't matter if people believe it. What is important is that it is looked into.

Clearly, opposing views aren't tolerated here- which is fine- but trying to fairly answer all these questions without allowing my emotions to get involved has been quite the task.

~respectfully snipped by me

I think there may be some misunderstanding that questioning a post's assertions is the same as questioning the integrity of the poster. It isn't. We constantly challenge each other's "facts" looking for the wheat among the chaff. It seems to me you've received more affirmation and notes of appreciation from others today than I've seen directed toward anyone is all my years here.

The father tried to defend the kid is all you need to know about this story. The kid broke the law, he gets a ticket. There is no defense. Period.

No, not period. Comma maybe. But no period. And since when do people charged with criminal offenses have no defense? I truly don't believe these things. Lord forbid you are ever charged with something you didn't do but you aren't allowed to provide a defense.

<modsnip> I did not mention any story regarding OW until TheDuchess said she'd never heard any. Period. Regardless, you've succeeded in running me off. I can only hope the minds of some of the posters in here have been opened by the questions I've answered. What I've learned, is that I should have gone with my initial instinct and stayed as far away from this forum as possible. Good night to you.

Have you watched it yet? Didn't you say you recorded it?

If there's any meat to it, why hasn't anyone followed up on it? Surely they can find out who the father and son were.

Okay folks we probably need to get back on topic for tonight and give it a rest.

Well obviously it was of no real concern to the parties involved at the time. No complaints were filed. That to me SCREAMS it's a steaming load.
IMO

But there are stories about every cop out there. Because they have to be hard-asssses and strict and no nonsense to try and keep order during chaos.
Just like there are 'stories' about every teacher. Some times things do not go smoothly. Sometimes they do. But there has been nothing that says he was likely to ride up on 2 boys and shoot them for walking in the street.

I know you're not suggesting we ignore any prior instance of bad acts on the part of OW are ya?

Please don't leave. I thought the process was to speak and listen to both sides. Maybe hearing us can help you when working with the young men?

Where is the proof of these "bad acts" because nine Washington Post reporters were sent to dig up dirt on OW, and could find zip, nada, zilch!

I hope she's under investigation ....I think she is...

IMHO she should be based on her antics in Jeff City earlier this month

Nope, just saying that making an irate father who got out of his car, go sit in the patrol car, is not 'a bad act.' It is common sense and probably police protocol.

One thing I got out of this exchange is a validation of my belief that there are two ways of thinking, and never the twain shall meet.

The fact remains. There are ZERO documented bad acts. ZERO!

Ok, so a rumor about Wilson from a week earlier is relevant, but that Michael had THC in his system at the time of the shooting and that just minutes prior to assaulting the officer, he assaulted a store clerk are not. They go to his mindset. And, actually the link was what mom said. No tension with Ferguson police. I'll repost the records links from earlier threads. And he was blocking traffic, not jaywalking. Covered in previous threads.

All in your opinion. Amirite?
