Support for Officer Wilson is fast approaching $185,000.
I'm so happy to see that people are educating themselves about the facts of this case and not listening to the propaganda and such being spewed forth by MSM, attorneys and "activists" with agendas.
Unfortunately, I have a horrible feeling that Officer Wilson will be sacrificed because most higher ups don't have the guts to stand firm on what is right. I hope I'm wrong.
You know what?? I thought that at first myself. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's going to be OK. These things tend to have a way of working themselves out. It is very rare that someone in a very high profile case like this is going down without a major fight, particularly if the person is innocent, which I believe very strongly that he is. Zimmerman was "not guilty" even though there was a huge push to get a conviction on him and he wasn't even a cop! The Duke rape case - yes, they were put through the ringer, but were ultimately exonerated. This is still America, and I cannot honestly think of one high profile case like this where I felt an innocent person was convicted based upon "mob rule." I've seen plenty of people who were clearly guilty get off (OJ, Casey Anthony, etc....) But the one great thing about this nation is that the legal system, does do its job and it will be very difficult to get a conviction on this police officer under the gleaming lights of a courtroom. I predict right now that this will run its course, as the Trayvon Martin case did, as the Duke case did, and many others. It worries me that certain people what to agitate racial tensions as they are. It saddens me that many allow it and think that all of this craziness is going to make a difference. No. It doesn't. It makes it worse.
I am not naïve enough to believe that racism doesn't exist in our world. Of course it does. But it isn't as rampant as many would like for us to believe. I am a white woman and have a Hispanic and an African American child, as well as a white child - all adopted. And for the most part, they are treated the same in all of our social circles. Our neighborhood is almost all white, but my kids are among the very most popular kids in their schools and in their neighborhoods. They have more friends than they know what to do with. In all of my years being their mother, there has been only one racially difficult situation, and that was actually against me.
At the end of the day, the rule of law will prevail. Don't worry. Officer Wilson will be defended, he won't be fed to the wolves. There are plenty of people who "have his back."
