With them when they were arrested was a 5-year-old girl who had been taken from a town near Pittsburg, Kan. She was believed to be hospitalized Saturday in Kansas City with serious injuries but a hospital spokesman would not say whether she was there.

Oh geez, I really hope she's going to be okay.

Fox news TV had a new mug shot of Davis...he looks alot thinner and has shaved. I looked for the new mug on line but couldn't find it. Was an Amber Alert issued for the little girl when she was kidnapped?

And just when the case couldn't get any worse, police tell America's Most Wanted they have "good reason to believe" that the young kidnap victim was sexually assaulted by Davis and Riley. Police say Davis is back in Jackson County and Riley will be returned by Saturday. The investigation into Davis and Riley's crimes continues as investigators search for more possible victims.

I am furious with one of the family members of Davis. How could any mother allow her child to go anywhere with a man she knows has been in prison for 17 years for brutally raping and sodomizing his victim? IMO these people are going to be deeply into drugs.......users and pushers probably.

But anyway she lets him go up the street to the hamburger joint with her 5 years old daughter and doesn't even call 911 until the next day??????

Frankly I think they will cover for them as they too have things they dont want the police knowing about.

This is one of the most heinous cases I have seen in awhile. It conjures up images of Joe Duncan and his damned sickening tapes of sadistic torture .

I haven't read all the links here but on the CTV News page it said they have arrested one person. As when the police came to their door looking for them they said they weren't there when they really were hiding in the closet!!!!!!!!!!!!! :furious: Does this remind you of the John Couey scumbags that lived in that trailer who did the same thing??

When did they kidnap this little girl? I thought someone said it was Friday a week ago........Lord have mercy.....what she must have gone through......my heart is just breaking for this innocent child. They said on Fox yesterday that a tape was found in their vehicle and imo they taped everything they did to the little girl just like they did with the other women.

The LE is going to have to find every woman that is on any of their tapes.......I feel this is much more to this.....2 years he doesn't do this and now he does? Nah...he came out the same way he went in.......a sadistic predator on the hunt.

Authorities are convinced these relatives were unaware that Davis and Riley were wanted by police. The next day, Davis and Riley drove the 5-year-old niece to a McDonald's restaurant at 11:30 AM with the girl's father following in another vehicle. Police say Davis and Riley sped off with the girl, never showed up at the restaurant and never brought the child home.

Local police quickly issued a wanted flyer through the LOCATOR Program (Lost Child Alert Technology Resource) provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It notified law enforcement agencies in five surrounding states that the young girl had been kidnapped. A sheriff's deputy in Barton County, Mo. was reading that flyer in his command post when he was summoned to the telephone for a bizarre 911 call.

What I don't understand is how could these relatives Not know they were wanted by the police? I would have expected close relatives like this to have been questioned very early in the search!! Even if somehow they did not know, certainly they were aware of all the years he'd spent in prison and what the charges were!! This story makes me so angry thinking about that innocent child and what she had to go through. I hope the authorities will see to it that she gets the care and the Safe home she's going to need!

OMG . And who knows what else could have happened to the other kids in the yard , had McBride not been there when Davis was . So, it sounds like it was no accident that the child ended up in the car with those monsters . According to the Kansas City Star , Dena D. Riley, 39 left a marriage and three daughters 16 years ago to" recapture good times " and "highschool memories".

Her ex-husband raises the kids with help from his parents ( his father is retired LE) .He says the recent murder charge has traumatized the family , sending one into counseling .

Riley has another daughter with another man and was declared unfit to raise that child; and was later jailed briefly for non-payment of child support ..The father raises that child in Utah and was unavailable for comment .

I meant physically okay in response to the article that mentioned her being admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. I wish her perfect mental and emotional health as well but I realize that that's not going to happen after what she's probably been through.

I'm sure that Davis never admitted guilt for his crime. He probably told everyone that he didn't do it, and perhaps they believed him, wanting to believe the best about a family member. I don't know much about the family of this little girl but from what I've read, it doesn't seem like she's been neglected or as if her father doesn't care for her appropriately. I hope that I'm right and that she has a loving, stable home to help her through the coming months and years.
