Here's the quote, but I'll be darned if I can find the article. When you click the link for the article the Chicago Tribune comes ups but it's supposed to be Orlanda Sentinel.

Jail spokesman Allen Moore said jail staff does tell Baez where to meet, but he can always request a different room, one without cameras

BBM
That is what is important IMO..Baez has the option to meet with his client in a different room but CHOSES not to. :twocents:
Are they setting the stage for something...from the wording of this presently filed motion it seems so to me.

How truly desperate this pathetic defense is. I hope all this Bs doesn't come back to bite them. Actually not true, I hope it does. Kudos Andrea et al. for taking me from anti DP to completely pro in this case.
200,000 dead in Haiti as of CNN's last report. Innocents who never spent a lifetime lying, posing or murdering their babies but here we are. Millions being wasted to ensure a single sociopath gets whats fair is just so grossly unfair.
KC doesn't want to sit in a private room without cameras OK. Bow down world. JMO

Has Florida ever heard of the Constitution?

Boggles the mind doesn't it.

Yes, it does QB.
So why do I think there is a grander scheme involved in them not requesting a room without surveillence?

Hmmmm... help me out here. From the motion:

"To choose only the most flagrant example, employees at the Orange County Jail worked with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in a deliberate attempt to capture Miss Anthony's reaction to the news of the death of her daughter on December 11, 2008."

Wasn't it actually the news of the finding of the skull of an unidentified child?

Yes, it was definitely absolutely that - we all were watching the OCSD at the site of the remains of an unidentified small child
when they brought to her wait outside the medical room, and sat her in view of a TV screen.

Yes it was BeanE...an unidentified child.
And I remember it being reported Casey did not have a reaction and double over during the Blanchard Park incident.

Localgirl IIRC she was already listening to the breaking news on the transitor radio in her cell

I understand what is said between attorney/client should remain confidential under her constitutional rights but everyone in their right mind knows that there are video's recoring EVERYWHERE in jails. Some are recorded with audio some aren't. According to those in charge of the jail it seems that there are rooms without audio that Jose could go into but he doesn't want to go to them because they have inadequate room for him and his client (whatever). Or is he even in a room that records audio and he is just trying to make a scene?

I think they should be recorded (without audio) but it should never be released. As much as I would love to see it.

Okay maybe someone can help me out here...I don't understand why they don't

1. Go about their business meeting with Casey in jail and preparing a defense
2. Deal with any violation of privelege IF or when it comes
3. Then worry about ineffective assistance etc.

It's as if they're saying they don't want to 'play' because something might maybe possibly go wrong. I don't get that. Just do your thing, and react to something if it happens.

I also agree that there is no substance to anything the defense has, so they just try to claim everything is unfair or biased because their case is so bad...

I am wondering just how inadequate? the size of a broom closet, a toilet stall, a shoe box..What? What size is inadequate?? Seriously.

I would like Mr Baez to fully define or explain what he means by inadequate room to the Judge and OC Jail.

I think that the Defense are spinning and mis-representing this as much as they can both to win privileges but also it is the only venue to push back against everything else and try to win over some public opinion and seek sympathy for KC. This is THE Defense strategy. Poor KC.

I am not too sure even if they were given everything they wanted they still would not milk this as an example of how KC is being vilified by everyone -- State, County, Media and, Public Opinion so therefore cannot get a fair trial and therefore............

Given the sheer volume and weight of discovery evidence and testimony against KC, they are worried about the more rare attorney client meetings in jail? Priorities, priorities, priorities?

It seems that they are NOT focused on the case at all but more focused on a means to seek a 'mistrial' as promised to KC due to ineffective counsel -- due to circumstances outside their control.

Does a mistrial mean she goes free?

Or does it mean another trial?

Can someone tell me what's going on? Is this one of the motions to be heard next week?

You know thats just it. There are survalence cameras all over the place. Deliberate? My big fat aching toe!!! Did they drag her out of her cage by the hair and stand her in front of a camera and say keep your eyes on the red light and we we say when you react and after all this is over we'll talk about football?

IMO, he is trying to spin some behavior that was caught on film. Say, for example, Casey sitting in his lap. Just a hypothetical. :innocent:

He has a aircraft carrier full of evidence that proves she didn't murder Caylee that he has to bring into that room each and every time he meets with KC of course.
