Maybe you are thinking of Stephen McDaniel case. Macon, GA. He murdered his upstairs neighbor Lauren Giddens. Put her torso in trash can. One heck of an interview if you havent seen him get caught off guard by a reporter. Google it.
No, not the one I was thinking of.

I had put a link to the WS thread in my prior post, though.

my earlier post, if interested:

Ok maybe some do I accept that - I promise you many don't - which means it is possible but not definite she had one, it is also possible she had alot of things in her house but we have no way to know that she used anything other than a cane.
Thats fair.

What about her zimmerframe? I’m not sure if you use this word in the US but it’s one of these:
Only reference I’ve seen or heard is cane. Photos on her FB and Today she has a thin wooden cane.

ETA…we call that a walker in the US

Moo

The earth there is too dense to be buried.

However, after seeing that her septic tank is behind the wall of a neighboring property, I wonder about the possibility that another resident's septic tank may have been used. All the properties there have a septic tank, and some may be as concealed from view as her own is. I hate even thinking of this.
I hate thinking it too, but I think you're right. There's a reason LE keeps searching around both residences/neighborhoods over and over. They seem to think she's nearby and so do I. IMO

I know quite a few people who use canes outdoors, but have a walker at home. They offer more stability. I’m not sure how it would matter in this instance. If she were taken out in a wheelchair, would the blood spatter be different?
It is kind of irrelevant to your point. We only know about a cane and anything else is speculative and irrelevant.

IMO it’s a single layer jacket with no extra lining inside. That’s just going off of the similar style jackets I have and wear during Tucson winter. Not super thick but still have some structure to them. To me it looks like the bulkiness around his wrists is the gloves.
Agreed but I have been unable to find the exact style. LOL My first inclination was to go to LL Bean.

So around the cuffs---is that a different color on the inside cuff, like a sherpa fleece ?

Those gloves Dont have stitch seams on the fingers. They look like gloves store employees use for freezer work.

She most likely had a wheelchair for other people to transport her to doctor's appointments or to take her shopping.
Got a link?

Trust me when I tell you a lot of old people have canes, walkers, scooters and wheelchairs in their extra rooms for just in case another surgery or future injury.
Very true. My 80 year-old mother has all that stuff and uses it depending on how she's feeling or what she's doing that day. If she's going out for a while, she takes her walker. If it's a quick trip to the post office, she uses her cane. Her spare room could pass as a medical supplies store.

People who are discouraged about the competency of the investigators based on last night's catch-and-release:

Remember, in most investigations, police bring in POIs for questioning and follow up on tips all the time. 99% of them end up being worthless and the general public never finds out about them unless the full case file is released some day in the future (e.g. discovery for a trial).

This case is different because there is CONSTANT media scrutiny that, IMO, is unhelpful and unnecessary. Police did not release the info about the 'subject' detained until nearly every news station was reporting it already based on their 'anonymous sources'. I doubt police even wanted to publicize this guy's detainment but were probably forced to after it leaked. Hopefully police have already questioned MANY others that the media (thankfully) didn't catch onto.

Don't assume what you see on the news is all that's going on.

I don’t know where people are getting this. There is no evidence that she was not ambulatory! She lived alone, drove an SUV, had an active social life.

It is natural that in public statements after her disappearance that her age and frailty were emphasized and even exaggerated to create a sense of urgency & possibly to evoke a bit f compassion in whoever has her.

People are latching onto a few such remarks that were aimed at the criminals and turning NG into an invalid who cannot function on her own. It’s not reflective of reality.

The ageism in this discussion is very exasperating.

I'm not certain but a retired officer (on a show about the case) said the lids are very heavy and require two men to remove.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> Has anyone heard any leads on suspect's outfit? Has any sleuthing been done on jacket he was wearing to match brand, company? Anyone done an image search on jacket?

LINK..NO way to know what you are referring to. "vehicle somewhere" "showed something" was it his and she affirmed it. When i say a reporter said it, Everyone demands a link..Sometimes i type what I hear in real time. There is no link at that moment. If saying a reporter said thus and so and that is accepted, then MODS, please advise.
Here is the proof with a link.

Here is a reporter asking CP's mother-in-law about a vehicle and she confirms that that vehicle is her daughter's.

This is what I was basing my opinion on that a certain vehicle may have caused LE to hone in on CP.

Time stamp 0:55

You're welcome.

With regards to the cameras, it's weird. The suspect walks up to the house hunched over, deliberately hiding his face, indicating he knows a camera is present.
He’s not “deliberately hiding his face”. He’s looking down to see where the step is so he doesn’t trip over it. That’s why the flashlight is briefly switched on.

Can you cite a source for assertions that she uses a walker?

Something like this, perhaps.
