That crime scene on that porch is contaminated from so many people walking up there, they're gonna have to go through all the DNA from everybody's shoes that walked up there. This is really shoddy.Work should have been done right when they found that blood. This picture actually makes me so sad. That tent should have been up since day 1. Aside from protecting the scene, it helps communicate a back off to media and lookers. Unless their goal was really to see if any suspect returned to the scene, what was the harm of treating it like a crime scene while the case is so ongoing? No one else lives in the house. No one else needs to get personal belongings or needs a place to sleep. I don't know enough about preserving crime scenes, but when you have a victim still missing, I just don't understand what the rush to turn the house back over almost immediately was.
Where was the mask found? This may help (from a previous post by UR728)
Or they could be trying to recreate the conditions during which the masked person was at the front door. It is also stated that they have some special camera equipment, so perhaps they are trying to film several different scenarios.Could they be matching the DNA on the porch to the DNA on the gloves found yesterday?
To be fair I guess they didn't know about the guy on teh porch, although with her blood one would have thought that area would have had additional scrutiny already, but I can see refocusing again on that spot.12 days later?! This just keeps getting crazier.
I think AG and hubby may have hired someone to do this. IMO. Like in Missy Bevers case - hubby “supposedly” was in another state but had everything to do with her murder. IMO anyway. Now— in NG’s case - who would benefit. Follow the $$. I also think the ransom is a totally different ballgame — someone else trying to profit. These new revelations are moving further and further away from family involvement. IMO.
I believe I’ve heard it described as a polyester holster… lightweight, cloth like. Very odd.Why has he got it hanging in front of his crotch? I've never seen anyone carry a gun there.
What could/would be the reason?
Why would you not have it in the usual place, by the hip?
who stopped at a bar? sorry catching up. mOOA rumour from here.
found who?I may have found her..?
She may be in the town to the east i will look into it
Another good theory. At this point, who knows. There is most likely more footage that we are not privy to. I would like to believe that they know a lot more than they are letting us know. With that being said, the last kidnapping case that sucked me in like this, Jayme Closs, turns out the investigators were not even close to being close.I think it’s possible they have video of something the person did on the porch and want to swab or gather that spot.

I think that was just a banner or ad not actual footage.Agreed! Also, I’ve been trying to find the exact photo and I believe TMZ deleted it or swapped it out with something else….but on the day that the video footage of Nancy’s kidnapper at her front door was released, they posted a still shot of what looked like the kidnapper with his arm around Nancy. I remember it looked like she was wearing a robe.
I’ve been scouring Google and the TMZ site to find it, but I can’t. I just remember that when you went to the homepage and looked at the original announcement of the video of the kidnapper, there were two still screenshot side-by-side, and the one on the right was the one that looked like Nancy from an side view/slight aerial view.
appreciate the photogrammetry effort, but this is a distorted image we're working with. you can see how distorted by looking at how curved the grid of tiles appears. makes it hard to accurately judge height without a carefully calibrated nonlinear mapping. ... which LE may be working on, right now.View attachment 644195
Going to make a guess here based on those tiles being 12"x12". He's 5'10"- 6'1". Closer to 5'10" IMO.
Going off of:
Door slab width: approximately 36 inches
Door height: approximately 80 inches (6’8”)
Full door opening including sidelights: approximately 60–66 inches (5–5.5 feet)
Arch peak height: approximately 84–90 inches (7–7.5 feet)
Porch tile size: approximately 12” × 12
Porch depth (front to back): approximately 26–30 inches (about 2–2.5 feet)
Concrete sidewalk width: approximately 3.5–4 feet
Estimated individual height: approximately 5’10” to 6’1”
From what I understand, a person can only be held for questioning for a short time without grounds for arrest unless there are extenuating circumstances. I believe they stopped this guy because they thought he was about to cross the boarder, not because they had some basis for arrest.I also think it’s strange they had enough for warrants, sending SWAT, etc and released him after a couple hours? Even if he had an airtight alibi, you think they’d want to check it. I imagine that would take a bit of time.
I saw someone else suggest maybe they let him go to see if he would lead them to more evidence? Maybe. Or maybe his role was smaller than others and he quickly agreed to be a CI? Seems far fetched but I really can’t figure out why they would release him so quickly.
Yes. We had that. Can they have a motion detector flood light? Maybe several along a driveway with a larger one on the porch. JMO
tent coming down
Tent is now being removed.
