Can anyone here quickly share where the gloves were found? Like in, exact location? I know it has been stated 1.3 miles away--but did anyone ever mention an exact location?

Just curious that if the gloves are related which direction they were headed and what we sluethers can glean from that.

This may help (from a previous post by UR728)

Could they be matching the DNA on the porch to the DNA on the gloves found yesterday?
Could very well be.

Will the glove fit? (For those who remember the reference).

Hmm could that be from the other date LE is asking about
Don't those images have "altered" marked on them? I wonder if the FBI removed the backpack and gun from the images so we'd get a better idea of who the perp is.

All this time later? If that's the case, I do not understanding the pace of this investigation. They had the video a few days ago. LE would've figured out all the things we were discussing. Why would anyone wait several days to get potential evidence?
The porch stoop should have been tested when the blood was first seen. It's sad it's taken this long .

You are correct. This guy is close to a Mex gun carry. Unsure why. Most people just know a holster goes on the side of a body.
Carry location is a preference: hip sides, back, lower leg, thigh, shoulder or front crotch. There are holsters made of nylon, metal frames and leather for each of these. Front carry either inside the pants or outside isn't all that unusual. Side carry can get in the way when operating a vehicle. It's personal preference, not that side carry is how it should be. Hubs is a firearms instructor. IMO

I think it’s possible they have video of something the person did on the porch and want to swab or gather that spot.

Wondering if AB's source's opinion has changed now. 🤔

How irresponsible for one to leak possible POI / Prime suspects BEFORE authorities decide to do so publicly.
I can't help but think someone in LE gave her that information to leak as a tactic to put pressure on the SIL/family to see how that impacted dynamics and if new information came out as a result from the family. So she would have basically been used for that purpose, but if they did that I think it is really crappy they aren't saying something to make it very clear he is not a suspect b/c this is truly negatively life altering to have this speculation about a person's character be so public.JMO

He really does look clumsy with that gun
Why has he got it hanging in front of his crotch? I've never seen anyone carry a gun there.
What could/would be the reason?
Why would you not have it in the usual place, by the hip?

If a burgarly gone wrong, what's with the smashed lights in the backyard? That seems like overkill (and potentially noisy).

Every idea that is reasonable still doesn't fit.

At this point I'm considering it was done for the thrill of it and the motive won't be more than that. I think the ransom was a hoax by an opportunist. I'm NOT committed to this theory and remain firmly on the fence, but "no reason" for the crime might be the reason.

If the ransom letter is from the perp(s) after all, wouldn't you agree that this was more than likely for financial gain?

I am thinking with the way the investigation is now unfolding that the motive for abducting her may have been purely financial by a small group (not sleeper cell afterall) by locals.

That is very interesting. I wonder if having previously subscribed to the 60-day storage affects how much data is kept? Google may well have found that those customers who cancel a subscription are likely to resubscribe at a later date, and they maintain the historical buffer as a customer benefit.

I'd love to know if a similar historical data population happens for subscriptionless Nest doorbell owners who then opt for a 60-day subscription.
I’m not sure. It was the premium subscription at the time. And my subscription had only lapsed roughly 6 months. Also have to consider the lawsuits google has gone through. They may not even do that any more because of those. As I said I updated 2 years ago so haven’t had their service in over 2 years. I have no clue if that is still possible. Either way I’m still elated that they were able to get some type of feed from her camera.

I'm having a hard time thinking the ransom letters were connected. I lean toward thinking they were from an opportunist.

But, I have no idea!! I remain baffled.

Or even yesterday?? Why now? Have they got the DNA off the gloves? Has the maintenance workers etc DNA samples come back?
Someone posted earlier that the glove had a hole in it, so maybe the person of interest cut themselves on the 'twigs', so to recover DNA evidence. A possibility.

Another odd thing to me about this is LE doesn't seem to be actually LOOKING for NG (alive or unalive). Like sweeps of homes, fields, etc.
It looks more like they're looking for items, camera footage, information.
That feels off to me. Unless such searches are happening where no media would have knowledge.
But, seems like actually finding NG would be the priority.
As someone already said, we don't know what they know, so we don't know what is driving their decisions. When a child or senior apparently wanders off, you know they can walk XX distance in XX hours. So you have a search area to start with. But Nancy was taken. Unless evidence gives you have a reasonably targeted area to search you are burning massive amounts of man hours without any real plan other than to pray someone stumbles over her. Sadly, without food, meds, water and shelter, I don't see how she can be alive after this many days.

They have searched with both search and cadaver dogs but searching near the home is of limited value if the dogs didn't find a lead. No one has reported any indication of a body nearby. So they are looking for clues. At least, that's what it looks like to me.

Discussion has been there previously. He is using a Mexican gun carry.
Mexican gun carry is sticking the gun in your waistband and not using a holster.

It's possible not all of the blood is Nancy's. Maybe both got cut and it all shed in the same general area from both of them.
