This picture actually makes me so sad. That tent should have been up since day 1. Aside from protecting the scene, it helps communicate a back off to media and lookers. Unless their goal was really to see if any suspect returned to the scene, what was the harm of treating it like a crime scene while the case is so ongoing? No one else lives in the house. No one else needs to get personal belongings or needs a place to sleep. I don't know enough about preserving crime scenes, but when you have a victim still missing, I just don't understand what the rush to turn the house back over almost immediately was.Nancy's house now.
