Yeah, agreed. I have done a decent amount of thrift shopping at a variety of store types and sizes, and I've never seen any indication that they keep inventory at the level of granularity that would be required to find records of someone who bought a specific type of backpack, if that's where it was bought. Not saying the info couldn't be found, perhaps via scouring video footage or even an employee who happened to remember. I just personally doubt, based on my experience, that computerized purchase records would be very fruitful in this one specific context. (To be clear, I am not saying that it's my opinion that it was bought at a thrift store, and I have no info suggesting that — just addressing the point someone brought up earlier about it being a possibility and how that might be tracked down....) MOO
It would be nice if there were cameras, but probably not at a smaller shop.

Can anyone here quickly share where the gloves were found? Like in, exact location? I know it has been stated 1.3 miles away--but did anyone ever mention an exact location?

Just curious that if the gloves are related which direction they were headed and what we sluethers can glean from that.

We don't actually know what they are doing behind that tent. I know we speculate on here but it's not facts. Nobody can see through the tent.

I think ime that for some people/families tend to do it more than others even those not necessarily wealthy. In my circle I have known some people who everyone in their family has an alarm setting in their home. It wasn't a thing for anyone in my family and I honestly wish my parents would as they get older and do have people come to do wok on the home :(
Security cameras are a “normal” thing in Jamaica. I have the blink system at my house, (purchased on Amazon) but also synced to all the Alexa devices that announces motion / detection when armed. My mother and Aunt are both 83 and live in a very large home, on many acres so they have a professional security system, which sounds alarms directly to the security company if detection is picked up when armed.

Maybe they are setting up a replica camera in the same spot and filming someone with known measurements to try to hone in on better height estimate for the mask guy. Like establishing a baseline.
This makes the most sense!

I am not the OP but trash ends up on the side of the road ALL the time. My property has a decent amount of road frontage and I am constantly picking up gloves, shoes, caps, general trash, cups, fast food bags, beer bottles etc. that have been "kindly deposited" on my property. From the bed of a truck, or open window. Or from someone littering. It doesn't have to be on purpose.
This person has clearly never walked along the side of the road, or anywhere, lol. I walk past shoes, pants, jackets, underwear, shirts, socks, gloves, hats, and everything you can think of on my walk home from work. I always have questions, but I never get answers from the universe.

Hesitating to post as I’m so far behind (I went to sleep and am now approximately 3,000 posts behind!) so apologies in advance if I should know this: Do we know the reason for the request for nearby camera footage from a date of a couple of weeks ago?
TIA!
I too am way behind here but I heard about the Jan. 11th request and assume it would have to d o with workers coming or going or could be reports of someone casing the home. Now there is a tent at the front door with investigators going in and out.

Nancy's house now.
This picture actually makes me so sad. That tent should have been up since day 1. Aside from protecting the scene, it helps communicate a back off to media and lookers. Unless their goal was really to see if any suspect returned to the scene, what was the harm of treating it like a crime scene while the case is so ongoing? No one else lives in the house. No one else needs to get personal belongings or needs a place to sleep. I don't know enough about preserving crime scenes, but when you have a victim still missing, I just don't understand what the rush to turn the house back over almost immediately was.

Ok but if they're checking for DNA at front door, other people have been to the door - Brian Entin was. What about the pizza delivery recently? How would they even know it's the nappers DNA with the traffic that has been up there?!
Yes, the crime scene really was contaminated so that's a worry.

Has anyone here compared the single photo of suspect without the backpack and holster to the videos and still of them wearing both? The shoes look a bit different. It almost seems like there’s a black strip on the shoes of the suspect without the backpack that I don’t seem to notice on the suspect that actually walks up to the door.
Hmm could that be from the other date LE is asking about

They have to try. I suppose they'll check any DNA against the CODIS database and check out any matches. It would be simple to rule out BE and the pizza guy.

They may find Brian Entin's. That crime scene shouldn't have been released so soon especially when Sheriff Nanos said they were still working on trying to recover the nest cam videos.
But it cant hurt to try and see if there is anything that can stand out. I imagine there is a ton between family, reporters, LE and also workers ...
