That's my question. What prompted AG to go to her moms house that day. I haven't read anything so far thats a confirmed fact.
That's my question, too. Why did she go other there? If she told LE that it was for the purported reason we've heard that a family member said (eg church member called her because she was concerned mom wasn't at church), that's a huge red flag.

And AG would know that her mother didn't go to church in-person so this adds to the strangeness. Doesn't make sense she would have said something that even she knew couldn't be true. Unless family members were so got off guard coming up with a reason why they were at NG's that they just blurted out the first thing that came to their mind.

LE reported that it was obvious immediately that this wasn't a missing person's case and that it was the scene of a crime. MO

Three potential scenarios that creep in from time to time -

My hunch is that an obsessive fan of SG, likely unknown to her or her handlers, meticulously planned all of this because of a perceived slight/rejection. Planned potentially for years, but could've also occurred when she aired the "Coming Home" special highlighting her family and city.

Second thought is an old middle school/high school/college classmate, likely an introvert not really adept at girls (but a whiz in the classroom), who secretly idolized and obsessed over getting her attention. Likewise, a perceived slight or rejection occurred at some point along the way.

A girl, much like the classmate above, secretly longed for acceptance from cliques but it never occurred and never has occurred.

Okay, but SG is 54. Some of these theories imply they waited approximately 35-40 years to strike?

The congregation of NG's church seems to be rather large judging by their FB page, and they also seem to heavily advertise their online services on their website. It seems very odd to me that anyone would think twice if NG missed a single online service. Edit: I just read In the criminal complaint against the fake ransom person that it was a friend of hers who called the family out of concern, so I guess it makes sense for her friend to call.

My mom takes them out to charge at night.
This is one of the last things I do at night and I always tell my husband I'm going into the muffled zone so if he wants to say anything important, do so before they come out.

Triggers and significant life stressors happen at all times of human development. Someone could've lost a parent, for example.

Hello! First time posting so please excuse any mistakes I make. I’m confused by the bloodstains on the porch. From what I saw it looked like the blood droplets were going toward the door and then spatter to the side of the door. If they were exiting through the front door it would seem difficult to open and close both doors while also taking a bloodied NG with you. Could she have been going toward the door instead and was stopped by someone? Admittedly I have no idea how blood spatter works I just think with my own doors how difficult it would be to exit through them and leave a mark like that. Although I guess the blood would be smeared had she been moving towards it. Again, sorry it’s just been bugging me all day and I’m overwhelmed with so much information and I’m just confused.
The blood spatters in the front have bothered me a lot. There is no "movement" to them. They don't seem to come from the door or entryway, or proceed down the path. They seem static. I cannot envision a scenario of a bleeding human that would create such a pattern.

I just feel it is much less likely someone in a live stream would notice and question a specific person not in attendance. Much less likely than an in-person service. Too many people, too much going on. I don't think I ever spend much time thinking about who and who isn't attending an online meeting.
Well, I don’t know if she went in-person or not, but I imagine if she regularly did participate in the live-streaming chat thing, she would log in and say hello to her friends there. Especially if she was a long-time member, which I thought she was.
Just my opinion

I find it curious that AG and SIL would make up the churchgoer's communication as a reason why they went back to check on Nancy. They have to KNOW that NG no longer, since Covid, attends the church in person.
Would have been much more credible if they simply said they went back because NG left an item at dinner or some such.

Plus, the absence of communication is traceable.

Im finding it really hard to believe a kidnapper would take such a risk in the regard that this lady due to advanced age could just literally drop dead of heart attack or no meds in a period of sooner time than given for ransom payment. Plus, liquidating assets in amounts of $6 millie can take up to 10 business days with a bank as they place "holds" on large transfers, even for rich people. So, here's this "mastermind" we are supposed to believe overlooked 2 critical components of this mastermind plan. Im sorry, im calling bs.
People of that age don't consider 84 to be "advanced age" , that's in your 90's. If you're counting on inheriting soon you will probably be disappointed.

Feb 8, 2026 #Crime #NancyGuthrie #Kidnap
How could potential kidnappers have taken Nancy Guthrie without detection? NewsNation senior national correspondent Brian Entin takes a tour the remote neighborhood, which is poorly lit, by design, and characterized by stretches of desert brush surrounding homes.

'Houston – Digital billboards featuring Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother Nancy Guthrie are now up in Houston, according to authorities with FBI Houston.
Digital billboards will also go up in El Paso, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Dallas and Albuquerque.'

''The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said they have not identified any suspects, people of interest or vehicles connected to the case.''
These billboards suggest that LE believes NG is alive and being held in Texas (billboards in 4 major Texas cities), NM, or San Diego or LA.

LE puts up billboards like these if they believe somebody is alive and being held in one of these areas.

Does LE believe that NG is alive?

SG and sibs last video certainly gave the indication that they believed their mother was dead.

Callela is not in band with TC - the music they play is similar so I guess they could be aware of one another is the possible link.

I know the names of his bandmates
Thank you! I had been away from WS for quite a while, returning for the Tepe case and now Nancy's. <modsnip: They are not "new rules" .. they are specific exceptions to THIS CASE ONLY>

They might not have realised it was a significant detail that would be scrutinised. Which is mad because the "call" is the first event in the chain that caused the "search". Perhaps they were asked on the spot during the 911 call where they were before they went to the house or why they believe she is missing. Then on the spot they had to provide an answer.

I understand he is in a different band, same type of music but a completely different band

And in a completely different city in a completely different state.
