From the clip: Brian and other reporters haven't been able to find a warrant for the searches that took place at AG's house.

This is the conclusion/theory I'm coming to as I ponder this rabbit's warren of a case, although I don't think it's necessarily someone local to Tucson.

I'm reading along on almost everything, but I don't think there's much else to say until something gives.

I pray she's alive. I also pray she hasn't suffered. If she is gone from this world, I hope it was fast.
You said it well -- "I pray she's alive. I also pray she hasn't suffered. If she is gone from this world, I hope it was fast." That's absolutely my prayer as well.

From the New York Times article saying that it was noticed she wasn't seen in the pews.

imo
The NYT doesn't fact check the way they used to. Just my own experience.
Sounds like it's taken from the initial presser.
Time will tell all.

They were in the house 41 minutes. They knew the camera were not alerting the police when the deactivated them It has to be someone in her circle. I know people that have a cellphone backup incase intruders take down the wifi. It has to be someone she knows or knows the property.

This is going off indicators reported that do not definitively confirm human presence. All the data reported --like in other cases-- could be misreported etc. The garage door could be remotely opened. The Ring "disabling" and then subsequent "person detection" is puzzling, even to Sheriff Nanos, who reported it and said he's not even sure that meant a person was detected (My Ring cam pushes "person detected" on deer, moving flags, etc, or if moved by hand). Wifi residential DIY systems are more glitchy as well than say a hardwired POE CCTV system, etc.

So I would take the current timeline with a grain of salt as well as a lot of the muddled reports in this case. I know not too fun for sleuthing but the disclosure in this case leaves little confidence.

Now, saying that I would agree it's someone who is familiar with the property, even in a tertiary way like a worker. The neighbors said she recently had the roofs re-coated, she probably has help w/ the pool and other aspects of the relatively large home, of course her family minutes away surely comes and goes on the property.

The Daily Mail has decided to semi-expose where Savannah and her siblings are allegedly staying. It's a $1.2 million mansion in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. It sits in an exclusive gated neighborhood with a guardhouse. They have been there for several days.

Behind a paywall, but those are the pertinent details.

I could still see it being someone who is obsessed with/wants attention from/wants to hurt or inflict pain on SG. They are local to Tucson and can't reach SG in New York, so they decide to target her family. Maybe they've been stalking both her sister and her mother for a while now. They pick last weekend ahead of SG leaving for Italy and abduct NG.

Sending ransom notes to TMZ ensures maximum publicity of SG's pain. If they really wanted money, they would've contacted her privately and told her not to involve LE. But the way they went about it (TMZ and two local stations) feels like the person wants attention that they can watch on TV and they also want SG to make videos pleading for them to let NG go. It's not really about money--its about spectacle and control and inflicting pain on a person they've become fixated on (the reason could be quasi-political, romantic, or some kind of delusion we couldn't guess).

If the ransom note is real and connected to the abduction then this is the most compelling motive I have seen and makes far more sense than money IMO. Making her do the Instagram etc, it's humiliating plus the torture of worrying about what might be happening to her mother.

So do Authorities pivot toward recovery rather than rescue today?
Imo they have never been conducting a search and rescue. The sheriff all but admitted that in the first press conference a week ago.

Interesting - does the article indicate whether AG is also there, or just SG? My experience of the DailyMail as someone based in the country in which it operates is that they often imply things they cannot legally report. It seems odd they would report on SG's whereabouts, unless they are also implying something about SG being alone?

Yesterday a smart poster here was checking the arrest/jail site. It showed as not functional at some point. Anyone monitoring today? I should have saved that screenshot.

This is such a good theory. That makes a great deal of sense to me.
Another reason could be jealousy, SG being wealthier, prettier, more famous, etc.

What does the ransom deadline tonight have to do with announcing an arrest or anything though? Tbh I don't really get the significance of the deadline, maybe why Brian Entin doesn't know the exact time either *shrug*

EDIT: I'm also not sure I understand the significance, if any, of the next scheduled press conference until Thursday.

Sorry if I'm being thick! I just am viewing through the lens of LE wanting to find NG asap and make an arrest asap.
I believe the Sheriff wanted Media to know that LE wasn't available to discuss this case this week and to give everybody a heads-up that LE will have nothing to share concerning this case until Thursday, unless there is some startling development (my words).

At this point, it seems that LE may believe or know that NG isn't alive. With some of their evidence collecting at AG's house and possibly NG's house, they are waiting for the results of their forensic work. The Sheriff may be thinking that they'll have their evidence in place on Thursday and can announce something then. Just a possible scenario. JMO, too.

It says Savannah and her siblings, and makes no mention of TC.

Who knows the real situation though?

A lot of former LE seem to thinks so. The "Ransom" part certainly can be, as it can be just that separated from another crime that rendered NG missing.

Many FBI agents have commented on the public nature (one NYPD det. even said "they sent the ransom note to freakin' TMZ first!") and say that's exactly what is going on here. If your goal is money in a kidnapping, you want fast and quiet, not putting heat on yourself going public and holding a hostage for a long time. The "kidnapping" is very atypical in many ways and many former FBI agents have commented on that. So yes, that seems to be a big driving component here.

Very interesting timing for a very different format of video? No longer in negotiation format? Literally two hours before the deadline?

Could it also be they already found her body, but are stringing the ransom writer along to see if they can trap and catch him with continued letters? I understand why the family would want privacy and to get away and be together and grieve together in another home at this tragic time.
Could well be. Also they could have found her body but aren't announcing it because they are still gathering evidence and waiting for forensic results.
