"Hi there everybody. Um, I wanted to come on and just share a few thoughts as we enter into another week of this nightmare. Um, I just want to say first of all thank you so much for all of the prayers and the love that we have felt, my sister and brother and I. And that our mom has felt. Because we believe that somehow, some way she is feeling these prayers and that God is lifting her even in this moment and in this darkest place.

We believe our mom is still out there. We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly, around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken and we don't know where. And we need your help. So I'm coming on just to ask you not just for your prayers but no matter where you are, even if you're far from Tucson, if you see anything, if you hear anything, if there's anything at all that seems strange to you, that you report to law enforcement. We are at an hour of desperation. And we need your help."

The person who called the family could have called or texted NG, having first noted her absence, and had no reply. That might have been unusual for NG – both the absence and the silence.

The family could also have called NG. The person from church could have been a friend who didn’t want to become public in this investigation.

It’s all speculation but since the FBI complaint against the hoaxer mentions the phone call, we can be reasonably sure that details of the call were verified.
The Uber pick up is on the timeline and the divers name has been kept completely private. The church caller was mentioned, but never put on the timeline. I’m assuming the church caller would have similar privacy as the Uber driver. I don’t believe privacy is why the call was omitted from the timeline, but added to the complaint.

Those people weren’t kidnapped from their own homes though, were they? Those were sex crimes too.
I don’t think you can say that with certainty. There are plenty of documented cases where serial offenders broke into homes, abducted people, and then transported/disposed of the body elsewhere. BTK did this. The Golden State Killer was literally known for home invasions. Israel Keyes abducted victims and moved bodies. So the idea that “a serial killer wouldn’t take the body with them” really isn’t a rule, it’s something that has happened.

And why the sudden appeal to the public a week later? I know she will be under enormous stress, but something in her tone and approach seems a little more upbeat in this latest video?
I agree. I think if they had found her mother's body (heaven forbid) in the hours/days prior, SG wouldn't be able to post a video like this. I can't imagine.

Also wondering if this gives more insight into the billboards being put up the last few days in Texas??

Also interesting how TC is not mentioned (not saying that implies guilt; the brother's wife also wasn't mentioned nor SG's husband) BUT you think they would want to clear TC's name given all that's been said, if they knew for sure TC wasn't involved.

I think it’s rage.

Maybe they were informed the kidnapping plot was likely a hoax? I'm just guessing. She does seem a bit more relieved in this video, despite her mom still being missing.

Okay thats the Savannah we see on tv every morning.
Seeing this makes me think they know absolutely nothing, at least SG comes off that way
Think she and FBI knew this ransom was BS. Bet we hear nothing more now that its been paid

Interesting words in SG's post. No capitals used (too aggressive?) and the 'she needs you'? I'm trying to make sense of it:

please. bring her home. we need you. she needs you. all of you.
I took that to mean that NG needs your (the public's) help in order to be found?

Prayers she is found soon.

moo it is not directed at an abductor but the public. We need all of you. My mom needs you, to help us bring her home. SG has lost hope at this point that her mom is still living. It is now a recovery mission :(

It hasn’t been paid yet, as far as we know.

TMZ knows the account number, and they will almost certainly report if money enters that account.

Or doesn’t by the deadline…

Savannah was remarkably composed there, and still optimistic that her mom is alive.
"Still out there" sounds ambiguous.

I don’t know what to make of her message!! So did they pay a ransom and got nothing for it?
Bitcoin balances are public so TMZ would report if that bitcoin address suddenly received $6 mil.

she seemed pretty hopeful to me

I have to wonder why the last two videos SG has made didn't include ANY personal messages directly to their mom at all, if they believe she is still 'out there'?

Heartbreaking to see this video. The pain, exhaustion and just desperation as she said. I do hope other states and cities are on the look out as well.

Good morning to everyone!

I just wanted to chime in with some thoughts I've been mulling over:

1) It is tempting to think that this is all hingeing on SG and her work, and I would think -if that is the tack being taken- that it's more a fan of someone she's "grilled" during an interview.
2) The cartel theory is not convincing to me because there is a degree of patient drawing-out of the notes that doesn't match the usual "kidnap, ransom request and here's the body, you took too long."
3) Also, the cartel theory seems to feed into a more political aspect (that immigrants, or foreign bad actors are involved), and this seems personal.
4) The timeline is very suspect; it would be helpful to know the time for the service that NG supposedly (and I say this because the matter hasn't been clarified to satisfaction) missed, the time of the call, and so on and so forth.
5) Everyone's finances have been investigated; it might take time to get everything they need, but the basics are clear to LE by now...it HAS been a week, and there must have been discussions about who and how the ransom would be funded.
6) Speculating about family relationships, I think, is excessively intrusive. The situation is already fraught for them, and I don't doubt there have been copious discussions and arguments about big or small grievances from time immemorial. That part should be left for the investigators to dissect as part of their process, but we sitting on the bleachers can't pretend we know what is going on behind closed doors among these relatives.

These are all my own opinions on the subject, and I apologize if they seem silly or naive. I fear that there are two separate narratives here, and one of them (the ransom demands and the "wild goose chases" being triggered by messages we are unaware of) will be what brings the whole thing to a head for the real perpetrator(s).

I just pray that NG is found even though I seriously doubt that, at this point and with all the emotional, psychological and physical trauma she's endured, she is still alive.

Please be kind in your responses. I mean well and do my best to be clear, but this is not my first language and I am getting older every day.

Some very good points made in your comment !

As far as # 1: I hadn't considered a fan and think it unlikely; but with the time passing and no answers anything is on the table and indeed law enforcement have indicated no one and nothing (organization/coordinated plan) is ruled out yet... it's possible.
The sheriff and law enforcement who are assisting him have made it clear that no one is a suspect, but that no one is ruled out at this time.

Considering # 2 & 3: Agreed highly unlikely as others have pointed out that is not how they operate.

# 4 & 5 : Agreed.

# 6 : The relatives are allowed to be discussed with initials only as was stated earlier on.
This kidnapping makes little sense if it was a robbery or a home invasion as the most troubling fact is that Nancy was abducted.

It has the elements of someone close to Nancy's inner circle or at least someone known personally to her ?
Part of sleuthing is what brings many of us to Websleuths and we are allowed to discuss even from a distance and many good theories have been floated about this crime and hopefully there will be answers soon.

I'd originally considered a staff or employee as it sounds like she had some employed, but that seems far-fetched the longer this drags on.

It would appear someone did not want Nancy in the picture any more, so to speak ?
What a sad and baffling case this is.
Just my opinion.
