I think the backpack has 2 built in lights, at the top of each strap. When he turns them off, it looks like he's not wearing a backpack anymore because it blends with clothing on the camera. But if you look closely you can see the tension of the straps still there against clothing.

those seem to be reflective strips that most backpacks have shining in the camera's IR. reflective items glow in IR illumination (in the military we use IR patches)

this also seems thrown together and amateurish to me. All black is a cliche for a reason. High speed, low drag.

The mouth looks extremely off. I don’t think this is the perpetrators actual mouth. There is a further level of concealment going on.

The mustache doesn't look natural, either. Looks like it was attached with spirit gum.

Absolutely a good point. It would be difficult and cumbersome at best to draw and get a finger in a trigger guard.

He switched from concealed earlier in the frame to a low hanging open appendix carry as he approached, thus brandishing the gun and removing all doubt to anyone watching what his intentions were. That is strange. Even hitman and pros or common burglars would not let the person behind the door --or if someone came upon him outside by chance-- their nefarious intention. You see a guy with a mask, gloves, brandishing you immediately react defensively. So it seems mainly for intimidation.

The whole get up seems thrown together to me. Reflective stripes on a backack, really? Mismatched holster. Bulky nitrile chemical proof style gloves? Pros dress a certain way for a reason. "High speed, low drag." All black is a cliche for a reason.

It’s all so odd that I wonder if it’s purposeful?

He must have come up to the house twice. Assuming the one of the right occurred first, where was his backpack and gun/holster at that time? Did he have a vehicle?

I know we have the timeline released last Thursday stating the camera was disconnected around 2am on 2/1/26, but the above eagle eye observation of @desert-blue
re: Suspect wearing and not wearing backpack, combined with the official FBI poster stating images are from 1/31/26 makes me wonder if the suspect approached the house both before and after midnight? Obviously the 1/31/26 on the poster from X.com could be a typo but you’d think they’d get that detail correct before hitting publish … right?

This is a man IMO. I have DD breasts so YMMV but the perp would quite literally have to wrap their own as a woman unless they were basically flat chested. Also, their body type suggests a male…perhaps early 30’s? Not a “stocky” build but not quite lean/slim.

The backpack also appears to be quite full, maybe even heavy. What would be in it?? Rope? Tape? Additional clothing?

Whatever is in there, they seem to move around quite easily.

It also appears the perp may be bald or have veryyyy very short hair, the mask seems quite snug, no?
