The only DNA evidence they have got back was on the porch.
That was in response to the reporters question "Did you find any other blood in the house?" (paraphrasing).
Sheriff didn't exactly answer it.
IMO.

I think it's easier to find info when there aren't broken up threads. One search in one thread is a lot easier than going thread by thread with your search criteria. But different strokes for different folks. We all have ways that work best for us. :)
definitely no....not for me. searching through over 200 threads to try and find what you want is just not...working at all. You're right though, there's no one way that will make everyone happy.

Question: What does "pacemaker app disconnects from phone" mean? I mean, I know what it means... but I'm trying to understand why it would do that. Thx.
This may have been answered as I’m still trying to catch up and posts and moving faster than I can in my workday.

Pacemaker user here. Some have Bluetooth capability to a base that connects to a phone app. This means that it will connect to the base that then transmits to a phone app. Unlikely they unplugged the base, more likely she moved outside of its range around that time.

I feel for the family. If the ransom letter is even kind of credible, do they pay up? Risk losing all that money to a fraudster, without getting their mom back?

Normally a ransom letter is a guaranteed scam... but... in this case?

I'm hoping this doesn't sound insensitive to Nancy... but does anyone know where the dog is and how it's doing?

I am confused by the timeline. The doorbell camera went offline at 1:47, yet a person was detected at 2:12? This is either an error or refers to two different cameras.
I have been waiting for someone to ask this! Anxious to see responses because I can’t make that align in my mind

Not racist. Just data presented in a factual manner.
No data has been posted nor would it be permitted here as any kind of proof that a Latin American undocumented person is responsible for what happened to NG.

Data pointing to any ethnic group as them being responsible for any unsolved crime is racist as is a person saying that.
imo

I think they should say "movement detected at 2:12 and aren't sure if it is a person or animal" - just my opinon

Should they be giving all these timeline details to the public??
I can see some value in releasing the timeline details they have released. For example, if this perp is a relative or associate of someone who has worked for NG in the home or on the property and the person who worked for NG has been having some "feelings" that his or her relative or associate is involved, then knowing some precise critical hours when NG was taken might spur them to call LE.

More from the FBI agent, less from the sheriff please

This is what the sheriff said about that (I was typing while he was talking)
"2:12am software detects person on camera but no video available. no subscription"
my notes state the same. he def said person and then went on to say it could be an animal.

Sounds like we're saying the same thing. :)

Someone asked up thread about a polygraph…after learning how the Colonial Parkway Murderer passed a poly and was cleared….i have lost all faith in the entire science.

The point in asking that question would identify if they were looking at anyone. If they liked someone in particular.
In that case, he would definitely say they couldn't go into it.

5 minutes is far from a long time. JMO .

If you ever have the chance, sit and watch a clock circle around 5 times, or slowly count to 300. It's a lot longer than we think sometimes.

I have a DVR with 8 cameras that IS NOT linked to the cloud via a subscription.

However, it stores about 10 days worth of 4K video and then rewrites overtop of the oldest. I didn't want the cost of monthly subscription but wanted the ability to review it if anything happened in the neighborhood. And boy, we've have several incidents over the last 8 years we've had it .. of which 2 were used as evidence by the police. (car theft, hit and run on a parked car)

I ASSUMED that ring cameras all connected to the web for storage.

Would the perpetrator have inside knowledge that the camera WAS NOT CONNECTED to the cloud? I mean, you would be seen smashing it if it was and smashing it would do no good at all.

I don't think it's strange for anyone to enter their home through their garage when they drive and park in the garage etc. But it does seem a bit odd to me for the garage to be opened and then closed 2 mins later if she's only being dropped off. Could be nothing but seems a bit odd to me. IMO

He is! I just prefer the "short sweet & to the point" style of the FBI agent.
I like him calling reporters Monday morning quarterbacks over and over. :p

in this case, I think whoever sent it, took extra steps to not be found or traced.

They have had at least 3 days now, and apparently they don't know who sent that one yet.

I would be concerned if there is a deadline in it, if it was my family.
