So, in that area, are the lids ground level and not buried? I guess I assumed all septic tanks were buried several inches in the ground which all ours have been and a bobcat or backhoe was needed to removed lots of dirt to reach the lid.

Are yours in use or retired? My home is on septic and the "lid" is a small slab of concrete that can be lifted. But it is not buried. Otherwise, they would have to tear the yard up whenever it's emptied. Perhaps it depends on local codes.

I’m speculating here, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask whether this could be connected to Epstein’s network. The timing, the visibility, and the target all stand out. Maybe it’s coincidence — but given what we know about how intimidation has worked in the past, I don’t think the question itself is out of bounds.

I have a DVR with 8 cameras that IS NOT linked to the cloud via the subscription.

However, it stores about 10 days worth of 4K video and then rewrites overtop of the oldest. I didn't want the cost of monthly subscription but wanted the ability to review it if anything happened in the neighborhood. And boy, we've have several incidents over the last 8 years we've had it .. of which 2 were used as evidence by the police. (car theft, hit and run on a parked car)

I ASSUMED that ring cameras all connected to the web for storage.

Would the perpetrator have inside knowledge that the camera WAS NOT CONNECTED to the cloud? I mean, you would be seen smashing it if it was and smashing it would do no good at all.

Nest battery cams without a subscription have only a 3 hour cloud storage limit, then it overwrites.

2:28AM Pacemaker disconnects
11:56AM Family checks on her
12:03PM 911 Call

Perp was there at least 41 minutes...

Family called 911 almost right away after arriving...

Somebody needs to tell the sheriff less is more, that it's okay to say I don't have that information handy or I can't speak to that. I sympathize. He has been thrust into the case that immediately within hours had national attention. He is probably exhausted. But yeah, less is more. It shouldn't take two minutes to say yes, no, or I don't know, or I cannot answer that for each of these questions, many of which are repetitive. JM own observation.

The longer this goes on, the likelihood of it being random increases. The people closest to NG are being scrutinized sooo intensely. The best and brightest minds, the most current tech, huge manpower… it’s being devoted to this case. They will find the person responsible but it might take some time to hone in on the right person. They are pouring over huge amounts of data and information right now.

Many people are in the habit of using their garage as their entry. For some reason, my husband never uses the front door.
It's likely a long acquired habit.

I’ve noticed that oftentimes these same people don’t lock the garage door. I’ve had numerous fights with certain family members of a similar age that have stayed with me and would enter the key code just out in the open and walk into the door they left unlocked. I got a new device where they are given their own key code that I can turn off and on as-needed to reduce the risk to my own belongings. Less drama than telling family members they can’t stay or must use a hide-a-key given my other security system’s capabilities.

I also wonder about the time frame between "doorbell cam goes offline" and "person detected."

So someone disabled the doorbell cam and then took several minutes to enter the house, possibly through a different door, where their movement was detected (but not saved due to no subscription)? Does this imply multiple cameras, not just the doorbell one? Or did the doorbell cam detect movement even after it was deactivated?

I have Blink cameras and a large/tall animal such as a deer is often labelled a person by that software. That said, I think there is 0% chance this was a non-human animal. MOO

Wish he could have answered it, but I understand why he couldn't.

A camera needs to be online to report movement and record video to the cloud, however it doesn't need to be online to detect movement, just needs power

Maybe there was a phone alert for activity detected by the camera but the actual video was not retained.

I don't think it's strange for anyone to enter their home through their garage when they drive and park in the garage etc. But it does seem a bit odd to me for the garage to be opened and then closed 2 mins later if she's only being dropped off. Could be nothing but seems a bit odd to me. IMO

sounds like she entered the house through the garage....was opened, she was dropped off, and closed. ???? She had the opener on her key fob so she opened it for family to pull in and drop her off then leave and she closed the door???

My FIL is 85 and super tech savvy and with it. He would NEVER let us drive him around and he Ubers all the time. He’s very proud and a bit feisty. I don’t think you can judge any child’s relationship with their elderly relatives - NG isn’t AG’s child.

Who knows? They may have been getting ready for their weekly Mahjong. Maybe, they were hosting dinner for more than just NG.
