I'm sure everyone has seen and heard Savannah's last message to the abductors linked here. It's absolutely heartbreaking. 💔

What this says to me" "We received your message, and we understand" sounds like they sent them another message that their mother is deceased, she didn't make it without her meds. "They understand".

Begging for her to be returned, as it's "the only way we will have peace", says to me they simply want her body back, getting their mom back, even though deceased, is "very valuable to them", and for that they "will pay" [the ransom].

“We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is . This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

Nothing about this is sitting well with me. Not one thing. I do NOT like that they were beaten down mentally to have to resort to begging. Begging the very people who are responsible for her pain, her misery, her death, and the pain and misery of her family that will NEVER go away. And all for what??? GREED!!! They ONLY cared about themselves and living the high life off BAD money. Well, what about NANCY's life?? She did NOTHING to deserve this!!

This is beyond reprehensible to me. God I hope I'm wrong and that she'll be returned alive. But as the days go on, and it's now mere hours to it being a week without necessary medication to keep her alive, I think all of our hopes and dreams are about to be smashed, unfortunately. 😢

I hope they rot in hell for eternity. But more than that, I hope that I am wrong.
This--I couldn't agree more. I actually posted something very similar to this. But I thought--but didn't post is that God will be the judge of them. I like how you said it--I too hope they rot in hell---before and after they take their last breath.

I noticed this time SG didn't have a sheet of paper in front of her. SG spoke softly and a delivered a well rehearsed message. The three sat closer together and struggled to look at the camera. They all looked utterly exhausted and defeated.

Prayers up for their family, they look to be at their breaking point.

JMO
Yes they must have closure.

I have the feeling the purported kidnapper is enjoying the attention, and the tension this story is atracting world-wide. Furthermore, I don't think he/she has any intention of cutting the attention off soon.

I predict there will be another message that drops just about the time the Superbowl starts, or at half-time.

When he/she accepts the offer, the balance of power changes substantially.

i just looked for myself and google says Feb 14.
Maybe whoever posted that can clarify.
I searched as well and found this:

The Silence of the Lambs had its initial, exclusive premiere in New York City on January 30, 1991, followed by a Los Angeles gala on February 1, 1991. The critically acclaimed thriller, starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, officially opened in theaters nationwide on February 14, 1991.

Honestly at this point LE had BETTER know way more than they're letting on. It's alarming that someone can get away with this for so long despite all the resources of SG/the FBI.

LE hasn't made any real comment about public safety, but if they don't get a handle on this ASAP I would consider the revelation of this vulnerability a huge public safety issue.

MOO
My opinion is that LE absolutely knows almost everything or everything and they are now gathering solid evidence so that the arrest(s) will lead to a conviction. JMO

Making sure everyone understands NO POLITICS.

I mean if not an insider my next guess at this point is a total weirdo like Brian Koberger. No real motive other than i think I can do this. A pitiful loser who needs power.

Is there any way LE would have cleared SIL by now? If he was the last person to see her alive, I assume this makes it very difficult indeed to clear him unless there is clear digital evidence of no link?

Celebrate with her... in other words celebrate with her body present.

Although Christians firmly believe the body is just the vessel, when it's your own beloved family member it's different.
As a Catholic and a Christian, the 'funerals' of the past are now more often called "a Celebration of Life." Maybe not everywhere, but here in the midwest anyhow...

i feel it looked like a family who had seen a body part.... moo
I can see that horrifying possibility too. John Paul Getty III comes to mind.

If this happened to Jane Doe’s mom in Wisconsin I’m guessing the majority of us wouldn’t be here posting our comments? Many who only watch their local news may have zero knowledge of this tragedy even occurring, depending on the news day in their area. That this is happening to SG’s mom I find a bit strategic and well planned. Jane Doe’s mom = no attention….SG’s mom = off the chart attention.

Yes, it became high-profile because of SG. Would it make us feel differently on hearing that another elderly person was kidnapped in Wisconsin? No. And I hope newspapers would have the decency of keeping us posted about any old person who was abducted from own house at night.

Also, human sympathy for the children who highly likely, it seems, have lost their only parent, the mom, and in such horrible circumstances, is fully understood and expected.

As a Christian, a funeral is often called a "celebration of life" and "the only way we will have peace" may mean "closure" - at least they will have their Mother home, properly buried; rather than always being tortured by "where is she". Just my opinions fwiw.

It is not about Christianity, it is about different cultural traditions. Atheists use this term as well as Protestants. Catholics and Eastern Orthodox mostly do not. In essence, it describes less ritualistic form of the funerals. As funerals tend to become such, maybe the term will spread. (It is not commonly used in Europe). But yes, this is how I understood SG's phrase: that they would need the body for the funerals.

However, I don't know whom SG is addressing, and whoever scripted the text. It has to be explained as the term might be misinterpreted. Likely SG knows that she is addressing Episcopalian Americans. This is how I interpret it.

If not, the term may be totally misunderstood, btw.

I beleive the alleged kidnapper made rules for specific ways to communicate. JMO
It seems like this for sure, the responses don’t seem very organic or “real” -if that makes sense

Praying so hard this has a good outcome. I hope the people who have Nancy aren't screwing with her family. I hope she is returned safe.

From one of the livestreams, Private Security at Nancy's property stated nothing is happening they are just "checking in" on the property.

I’m not normally a pearl-clutcher but I am appalled at the comments I’ve seen wondering why the family didn’t pay the ransom immediately. How dare people question what someone else does in an impossible situation. It is very much coming off as blaming the family for whatever may happen to Nancy by their inaction. What if they demanded more money than the family could come up with immediately? What if they felt or were advised that paying immediately without proof of life would completely remove any leverage they have to get their mother back? What if they understand the wide-ranging precedent that paying the ransom might set for millions of other innocent people, and are having to make the agonizing choice of being purely selfish and paying to get their mom back, or making the choice not to pay but risk losing her, so that other people won’t have to deal with copycat crimes now that they’ve made it known to the world that there are people out there that would pay?
