Gathering evidence to submit to a judge for an arrest warrant? Do they want to light a fire before the Monday "ransom" deadline?
That's what I was thinking. They want to do their best to solve this, and stop the family from paying.

If evidence is found in this house, it certainly leads to SIL being involved ...or at least in cahoots with that sketchy bandmate, rather than some plot by that bandmate without SIL's knowledge.
True and it almost certainly implicates AG as well.

Aren't Annie Guthrie and other relatives staying in the house? If they thought it was the/a potential crime scene it seems odd that they would be in there all the time and police would be stopping by every so often to collect evidence.
It was reported there is no longer anyone in the home. IIRC all 3 sibs and their fams went in 3 different directions after their first video - not because of any particular reason mentioned, just to different spaces to be housed.

Maybe there is a tool rack in the garage and they are looking for blood? UGH
There is a 17' x 5' storage area in the part of the garage/carport that is on the front wall and another one of the same size along the rear wall of the garage/carport per the Pima County Assessor's office drawing of the home.

I believe the standard practice for documenting Luminol is actually not to use flash or external light sources and instead adjust aperture and use long exposures.
My former LE hubby agrees. He also suggested that the bright flash could be a photo further documenting the spot where the luminal photo was just taken without the flash. (Rather than turning light off to photograph luminol, then turning it on to photograph precise location.) Just his thoughts, with the caveat that he’s been out of the field for years.

I've seen people on twitter floating the theory that she never made it home - but how does that square with the pacemaker syncing with the apple watch that was in her house.

I think the sign of someone else being in the house happened before the pacemaker synced with the apple watch - so that would seem to exclude the possibility that the pacemaker/watch sync happened elsewhere and the watch was then taken back to the home.

Then there is the issue of the blood outside - although it's not impossible that it got there at some other occasion. Does anyone know whether it's possible to determine how long a blood spatter has been somewhere?
Excuse me if this has been answered, but do we know that it actually synched at her house? Could it have synched somewhere else?

I was convinced that she made it home given the evidence shared with us by PCSO. I also didn’t want to believe that AG could have anything to do with it, but how could she not know if something actually happened at her house. I’m starting to doubt. I know I’m not the first to question this.
not sure anything happened at hr house. They are investigating the car and focused for blood in the garage.....maybe for a tool or a weapon

Extremely bright swaths of light . IMO
Doesn’t it look like a flashlight and the breaks are just because of the window panes? Unless its multiple flashes but they move from right to left

I agree, they did look hopeless. However in the interview with Erin Burnett (CNN) the KOLD-TV reporter said that they can only receive text, no images or videos.
Someone suggested that the submission yesterday prompted them to go back to search the yard yesterday afternoon for something small like that.

But wasn’t her watch at home? My brain is mush.
Nancy's blood was found near the entrance of her home. I think she did make it back but didn't emerge alive again.

Watch the ‘We received your message” video without sound and focus on the sisters reaction.

If she never left AG home, her watch did, and it was part of the staging at her home. So, it would disconnect from her pacemaker connection.

YES!!! THIS! I don't think Nancy ever made it home.
So she maybe wore watch to AG home and they took the watch to NG home? I wonder if it happened at AGs and SIL took watch to her home and the proceeded to smash cams etc. But then what about the white van, NGs car having damage and the newly found cameras? Ideas? I realize we are all just antsy over what is going on at AGs and are thinking the worst and SIL is not named so if this is not allowed I am fine with it being deleted.

I just read this:

Luminol requires near-total or complete darkness to be effective, as it produces a faint, short-lived (approx. 30 seconds) blue-white chemiluminescent glow upon reacting with the iron in hemoglobin.

Yes and using Luminol and similar products is done to look for evidence as opposed to ruling out.

I just don't think using such substances are being used to 'rule out' - spraying it everywhere just to rule out there are no bodily fluids present! Hence my response about timing was addressing the 'ruling out' post.

Wasn't it the phone that disconnected from the pacemaker app rather than the watch? The watch was mentioned because a) it was one of the items found at the house by LE and b) the location of it was relevant to the ransom notes in some way?

Can apps like this be connected to the same account on more than one device at a time, I wonder? As in, can you have the app on say two iphones, both apps registered and connected to the same pacemaker?

Wouldn't ruling out mostly be conducted during daylight hours rather than late at night ??
Not if you need darkness for something like luminol, I would think. Some checks require light, some darkness.

That blood could have been transferred there by someone. Not difficult at all to do, she wouldn't have needed to be present for her blood to be there

the syncing and location of Nancy (pacemaker), watch and phone could have happened anywhere. Placement of evidence can then occur after if needed

I definitely believe someone was in her home in the early hours of that morning, but it may not have been in the presence of Nancy at all

Or Nancy was in a vehicle in the garage or close to the property but maybe never actually made it back into the house itself.
