Just a general query, but how often do you think a parent might try to cover for a child's actions? Would most parents, some parents, not at all; what do you think, in general? Just curiousity, fwiw.
I think coverup motivation is very unpredictable - after that dude allegedly killed Charlie Kirk, his dad was about to turn him in. If, like, a family member I was extremely close to was potentially involved in something bad, I legit would need to think about it hard - and if you knew me IRL i'd be the last person you'd assume would be flaking on that type of decision.

Edit - I definitely wouldn't involve myself in a coverup, that's for sure.

Is NYPost allowed as a source here? Because here they are citing the Thursday press conference about a spike in heart rate at 2am:

NYPost Heart Rate Spike article
From the article:

“A pacemaker not only has the ability to create a heartbeat, triggering a heart to beat, but it’s also a sophisticated monitor of the patient’s heart rhythm, and a pacemaker is programmed to check in once a day, just to check in with its communication device and then ultimately the app that monitors it once a day,” he explained.

“Typically that’s at night, so at 2 o’clock in the morning, that’s all it might have been doing.”

I’m sure by the time I finish this thought, there will be about 30 more messages posted here, but for now I’m caught up. The one thing that’s bothering me (and I agree with the majority at this point the direction this is heading in terms of potential perp) is the amount of coordination this would have take to have so many things staged at NG’s home. Yes the blood drops could’ve been from some other unrelated earlier injury, or maybe even put there by the suspect to stage that she made it home. But then, add in the clues of the time of the garage door opening/closing, camera(s) disconnect and motion detection timing, watch/pacemaker sync ending time, etc… it just seems like a LOT to coordinate in a relatively short amount of time.
Although… add in a possibility of an additional non-relative being involved as accomplice and I suppose it could add up. Just doesn’t feel like it would’ve taken THIS long for LE to put these pieces together.
I believe that the opportunist who sent the "ransom" letters threw a wrench into the investigation.

I watched most of Brian Entin's livestream of the AZ deputies at AG's house tonight and my questions/comments are that I haven't seen touched on yet here:

1. Where have Annie and Tommaso been staying? I heard earlier on that SG was staying with them; but, now it's unclear where everyone is staying whether together or separate. [Edit: If SG was staying with them early on was TC a suspect at that point as AB has stated? I understand that's not confirmed but it's been known for LE to have close family/friends get info on a suspect/coerce a confession. NOT saying that's the case here but it could be that they used SG to get info on TC early on - where he said he was/who he was with, materials in the home, etc.; maybe SG didn't even know if he was a suspect. All my opinion/speculation.]
Also, has TC been seen in the past 24/48 hours? Could he be on the run or being held?

2. Why AZ deputies tonight and not FBI/federal LE?

3. Is AG's house being guarded/monitored at all? If it's a crime scene or even just important in the case, which would make sense, it looks based on the live stream that anyone could just walk up the driveway. Which seems risky if they're trying to collect evidence.

4. For those that didn't see, one of the deputies tonight had on blue latex gloves when he got in his car to leave.

5. Someone in the comments on the live stream said that one of the few objects removed with the deputies tonight from the home was not a poster as many thought but possibly a piece of drywall. Could it have been cut out of the home or garage by deputies because it had some kind of evidence on it? Blood?

Anyway curious everyone's thoughts on the above!

I find it interesting that it was deputies and not FBI or some other federal agency.
The FBI can instruct or request that local law enforcement officers, to help with a search warrant to investigate

They do partner in task forces.

But federal agents remain in charge of the search operation.

The Feds could be busy with something else

I don’t see anywhere in the article they actually link the PC to saying her pacemaker “spiked” .. they seem to be combining outside reported info about a potential spike with the PC timeline, without ever directly stating in the article (that I can find) that the police said anything other than the pacemaker and phone sync abnormality at 2am.

will report my post bc it’s not msm-it was the first article I could find that gives details on all the data it collects and how.
I know it has been used in other cases-maybe someone can recall one?
Their heart rate etc would be different-it actually tracks so much I don’t think that they could hide it imo.
other cases: Molly Tibbits, Samantha Murphy

So is the act of sending a ransom letter over the internet and demanding bitcoin a federal crime? Like without the kidnapping?

IMO a random, unknown bad guy, didn’t have access to NG vehicle.
Could the perp have been hiding and waiting long before she came home from dinner- knew she was going to this dinner. Wanted to make sure traffic cams around the time right before her disappearance wouldn’t have been as helpful?

Perp could have gotten there at noon and hid for example. Maybe at some point he touched or rummaged through or got in her car? They will check for dna?

This is totally off the wall and probably nuts and naive, but is it possible bro in law could have actually AGREED to be a temporary “fall guy” to make the perp comfortable? I mean if lots of people were/are REALLY convinced of a suspect, but it’s not REALLY the suspect, the REAL perp may get sloppy…

Eventually bro in law would know his name would be cleared and the truth told. Savannah is staying at his house so she is ok with him despite the earlier “reports” so maybe it was all planned??

I don't think they pulled up and "realized they didn't have a warrant", but sometimes just showing up and asking to check inside is enough to make some people panic and scramble. Remember too they started searching the area between the two houses today as well. Something could have popped up on a cell phone dump, they may have found something in between the houses, there may have been something suspicious in plain sight. There's really no telling what happened between last night and today that convinced a judge to sign off on a search warrant.
This reminds me. I wonder what became of the tip that lady had, (who was looking for LE among the reporters)....something she found along the road during her walk she thought might be important.

This is more of a general question for any LE or LE-adjacent who may know- in these high profile cases where time may be of the essence, do the detectives on the inside of the cases work overnight to go through evidence collected? Or are there multiple shifts coming and going, who comb through evidence, pictures, traffic cams, paperwork etc? Obviously it would depend on the size of the LE agency and regional resources, but curious as to how quickly things like this could move and if it really is a 24/7 operation at this point in the investigation.
LE Adjacent but if I was working a life or death case, it was not a "go home tonight and we'll find these folks tomorrow to talk to them" kind of situation. Anytime I worked with actual detectives, there were a lot of cases (we don't exactly have a great crime rate when I'm located...) that I know those guys either didn't go home or went home just long enough to change clothes, shower, and grab some food. A nap at a desk was not uncommon to see. I think it honestly depends on the detective, it depends on the case, and it depends on your overall resources. Plus there's the additional question of "do you trust someone else with your case evidence?" factor. Paperwork, records requests, things like that could sometimes be handed off to someone else, but calling a judge for warrants/orders/etc. fell on the lead investigator.

Does anyone know where AG & T's car is? I'm wondering whether they were especially interested in what's in the car in terms of blood evidence. Could it be that the car wasn't there last night?

The uber is verified. Car damage could have happened anytime. Likely unrelated, but who knows. Possible blood was staged. TC is biology teacher. Pipettes.
The car that’s damaged is Annie’s?

Going backwards a bit because I have just been lurking here and not posting, the weirdest thing to me from the beginning of this, as just a person with a close family and older grandparents around Nancy's age, is that she was brought back to the house, apparently, at almost 10pm (after arriving over four hours earlier at 5:30ish). I know people have different schedules, etc. but MOST people that age are in their home, if not in bed, by that time. It's just a biological thing for most older people. [Edit for details: They like to get into their Pjs, wash up, take out dentures ha, and sit in front of the Tv for a bit to wind down before going to bed].

We have my grandparents over for dinner often and it's usually a 5:30pm ish pickup, with a 7-8pm at the LATEST return home, we go in and make sure the temperature in the home is good if it's winter, that the lights are on, etc. No we don't have to do that/they would be fine on their own, but I think most people can attest to similar with older relatives, especially if they're not the best on their feet. Late at night they are usually tired.

So that stood out to me from the JUMP as a detail for a casual (four hour) family dinner down the road. The late return from dinner at the sister's... If she was dropped off at almost 10pm for most people that's not bed until 10:30. Which again is pretty late for an older person especially if she goes to church in the morning.

And if SIL was involved I really hope AG wasn’t… it’s possible she wasn’t if he planned it with a friend or something. IDK what to think anymore. Really hoped the family wasn’t involved.
If SIL was involved I likewise hope that AG wasn't, but I do think there must have been 2 people.
