AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

I don't buy the money theories re SIL - it seems from videos online etc, that AG and SG have a good relationship. Surely if there was a need for money, they could ask SG rather than NG?? Doesn't make sense to me. Ok, teaching salaries may not be high end but far from poverty line.
There are dozen plus clips of NG visiting SG on Today show and I have seen none of AG or CG visiting Today Show set. Yes, a few public photos of AG with SG and NG but that's it. SG and NG super close relationship. I wonder who was NG's primary caregiver in Tucson as that person will hold lots of info.

Idk ya’ll, the latest visit to AG’s house by LE is extremely unsettling to me. I’m starting to wonder if NG’s house was released so quickly so that LE could plant devices and observe before going back in to take inventory, note what was moved and/if any cleaning took place. This is not looking good.
I’ve floated this idea too. Maybe they were the ones who put the camera on the roof since the back door had initially been found wide open so they wanted to monitor the backyard in particular…hmm.

Moo

But wait - IF and I mean a big IF... AG and hubby are involved or even one of them, there's no way they could hide or explain that ransom money even if they got it! What in the world would or could they do with it? They definitely couldn't spend it!

To invest overseas or find a broker to 'bury the money' would be tough.

So if they are involved it would be an after thought to spin a kidnapping/ransom plot to divert suspicion.

I'm not sure it's them, but maybe someone close to them? Argh I go all over the place here!

I thought the plea by her son yesterday was luke warm at best. I would have expected a former military guy, career National Guard is what has been said, would have spoken more man to man..
I think its quite unfair to judge. We don't know him or what advice he was given before recording that.

SG has law degree and decades of reporting true crime. I think SG and CG distress seems genuine. SG had a close bond with NG and I believe this is all a setup to get SG to give up her millions of dollars to what appears to me to be an inside job
Oh I’m not doubting SG and CG’s distress. Its the idea of having to go along with the video pleas despite possible suspicion of a family member and/or BIL while sitting right next to one of them that is wild to me. But like I said, maybe SG and CG are capable of what would be almost impossible for your average person.

I definitely would doubt my own ability to compartmentalize because the realization of what my family members may have done would probably drive me into a Michael Corleone style spiral.

Hoping and praying for a good outcome . The only one that can be is Nancy comes home

There was a lot of discussion about this for days. I'll save you some trouble - there isn't one connected to this case.
Dog in Christmas pj photo appears to be SG's dog, Fetch. NG had limited mobility, lives in pain, and health condition, so probably not able to have a dog

How big is the chance that NG is still alive?

An 84 year old frail woman who is in constant pain and requires a walking cane to walk cannot physically take off seatbelt, grab her belongings (purse, walking cane, maybe coat), and get out of a car and inside home via garage in 120 seconds. The front of house entry way had lights on. Why have an elderly woman enter house through garage? I think the crime started after Uber driver dropped NG off at Tucson sister's house.
I thought I heard that a phone app was used to open the garage. App could have been activated when she was out of the car, ready to walk in.

So glad she heard these words at the end.
SIL did not even pick up MIL for dinner at his house, 4 miles from NG's house. That is just strange and sad to me to make NG take Uber to Tusdon daughter and SIL's home. Maybe if NG took Uber home she would still be alive and there would be proof from Uber records she returned home

If she was taken by people whom she knew closely, she's alive in my opinion. If it was strangers, not likely.

No, Nancy was dropped off by uber at annies and tommasos house 4 miles away, for dinner and game play, then supposably brought home by annie and tommaso or just tommaso ?

According to Sheriff Nanos, Nancy was taken in an Uber to AG's home for food and games close to 6:00 p.m. and then TC took her back home just before 10:00 p.m.

I don't know if Nancy drives regularly but another poster mentioned that Nancy just might not like to drive at night.

We don't know the circumstances. The family could have been busy at that time. It could also be as simple as Nancy did not like to drive at night so she requested an Uber for herself.

It seems like this for sure, the responses don’t seem very organic or “real” -if that makes sense
But refuses to show proof of life especially in new message....I think ransome is fake

If...

Because they are not involved in the ransom part... It is likely an opportunist trying to cash in on a traumatic situation. The 2nd theory re: the ransom, is being used as a ruse to take attention away from real "If" involvement but imo this would not have continued so far along to the last note... so, back to opportunist. maybe!

Maybe there was some alcohol consumed earlier and TC “sobered up”, had a coffee or two before dropping NG off?

Ugh, this detail stands out to me too.

I can't make sense of the juxtaposition between law enforcement's intense focus on the AG-family home and AG still being at the centre of it all with her siblings maintaining a united front. Add in the ransom element and this entire situation is baffling. Never seen anything like it.

Hours after Savannah Guthrie released a video with her two siblings pleading for their mother’s return, at least three deputy sheriffs were seen at her older sister Annie Guthrie’s house late Saturday.

Three unmarked vehicles were parked in the driveway for several hours, while deputies were inside the residence.

While lights in the house appeared dim and shades were drawn, bright flashes were observed through the windows –– appearing as if authorities were taking photographs.

Officials left shortly after 10:30 p.m. local time with a bag and placed it in the back seat of one of the vehicles. One deputy sheriff was also seen wearing blue latex gloves.

There are still no suspects named in the search for Nancy Guthrie.

I'm fairly new here, but I wanted to provide a insight on the possiblities on a few things medically.

I'm a LPN Caregiver, I've worked with a few dozen elderly clients over the past 12 years, and this varies GREATLY. For the past 3 years I've been caring for the same client now. This client is upper-80's, Pacemaker/Defib, Moderate/Severe ambulatory issues, Fibromyalgia, and other things medically debilitating requiring 24/7 care.. varyng from the basics to full-care. Even then I've been surprised how quick they can be at times.

This client has really good days, and really bad days, the good days after arriving from a Dr App or outing they would get into the house faster than I can get the walker out of the vehicle, and the client would go from garage to living room (5 bedroom house) I'd say in 2 minutes, if not quicker without my assistance.

But.. as this client is getting older, and with more and more health problems mounting, we are lucky do it in 20 minutes now.

I did see mention NG was dealing with a UTI? and was currently on antibiotics, my client has those quite frequently (usual in elderly) and those are the days it would take them anywhere from 5-25 minutes to get into the house, but that depends on the severeity of the UTI.

Not saying its immpossible, but varying the severity of the problems and visually gauging it for ourselves, 2 minutes could be possible. Although.. being that late at night (my client is a night owl 11pm - 3am bedtimes) and with what we do know, it would be 50/50. If she was having a good night, they probably just pulled into the garage, she got out already had things in hand prior to garage opening (typical for elderly, always in a rush to get in) and got out. Then IL left before seeing NG go inside. That is plausible.

If NG attended church service via online video, I hope LE checks everyone who watches on Sunday morning. If abduction was someone close to NG, they are probably trying to make her life as normal as possible while away from her house. Personally, I don't think she is alive. I think something tragic happened 1/31/26 and all events 2/1 and beyond is the rippling effect to coverup
