AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

AG makes jewelry and would likely run in the circles of those who attend the gem show. Didn’t someone upthread say a lot of gem people are also crypto people?

The acquaintance of one of my friends lives in a remote trailer in the AZ desert. She’s eccentric to say the least, would likely cross paths with these gem hunters, and her entire nest egg is in bitcoin, so a gem/crypto Venn diagram tracks.

If AG and/or TC are involved, it’s possible they have help from one of her gem/crypto buddies. Maybe this third person is the one running the crypto ransom note for a cut the money and may know how to launder it once it’s received.

I completely disagree. It's 2 hours out of his day. And maybe he had a family member playing or some ties to the game, who knows. He's entitled to his own time. Come on. It shouldn't be news. I don't see it as disrespectful.
Or maybe someone gave him a ticket as a present.

I just noticed something... The front door where the blood is, I was browsing street view through different dates, and the 'plant' scattered around the door previous years had that exact plant in the pot that is now empty.

This makes me wonder if they pulled up the plant? Key? Evidence? Blood? the image I grabbed was from Nov 2025. May be nothing.. just saw this., tried my best to enhance it... best I could do. But she had that same plant in similar pots in the front.
LE may have taken the plant for evidence of blood, maybe they visually couldn't see blood on the pot so left it?

going to attempt to do a poll! though it’s not really the same of course

react to this post with an
😍 if you suspect someone close to NG
😡 if you suspect someone who knew NG as an acquaintance
🙁 if you suspect a stranger
😮 if you really don’t know what to think
anymore!

(randomly choosen emojis, and of course not trying to make light of this awful situation at all. just to get an idea of what people think)
Good poll!

There could also be an option of two crimes and two suspects - one for disappearance (=likely murder) and one for ransom notes, but I think 😲 covers that alright

I do wonder if they already know it’s someone close to home and they’re going along with this ransom thing to keep the family distracted if it is in fact one of them. I wouldn’t be surprised. Hell, the last ransom message may have been planted by the FBI. Who knows?

They can get a search warrant pretty quickly. It doesn’t take much.
The family knows the rules. The first email had a place to send the bitcoin by such and such a time. That's it. The family asking for POL etc was a good try but possibly a bad idea. Send the bitcoin to this bitcoin wallet...Family wanted to negotiate with POL..Perps shut that down..it's been a week. NO POL..now you might only get a body..same price...same amount of bitcoin. I DO NOT think the SIL is part of any of this. Perhaps a stalker SG doent even know she has...A person with a grudge against the military son..some whacko political group or foreign entity that didnt like a news story SG was nvolved in. Someone who didnt want SG at the Olympics..People are NUTS! Ideology is warped..Since none of this makes sense to us is because it is not on anyone's radar screen. This is possibly a nutjob with an agenda to fund a mini revolution or something.. JMO and active imagination..

The usage of "this" is...unsettling to me. "This is important to us." "This is the only way we will have peace"
Yes in the precious video SG is trying to humanize her mother, make her a real person to the kidnappers. In the latest video SG does the opposite, making her mother a "this."

This part, right here. Not "she" but "this". That reads like a response to something specific. As does "celebrate with her". A specific response to something.
Does SG now know her mother is dead?

I've tried to keep up but this thread is moving a million miles an a hour in the blink of an eye. I may have missed something but is it just me who just doesn't believe the ransom/kidnap narrative? It doesn't connect or make any sort of sense to me. Jmo.

just checking, the poll is for what happened to Nancy, not specifically the ransom? I've answered re who was responsible for Nancy's disappearance

Pretty much because they had a flurry of very much unwanted comments about the SIL's alleged involvement in Nancy's vanishing.

MOO 🐄
Thanks. That makes sense. When I was reading the FB page on Wednesday night I didn’t see any new comments at that time but I was mostly looking through the photos.

I never noticed there was an Amazon package tucked in there.

I mean.. thats possible, just odd.. blood splatter even in micro amounts they would've took the whole thing if that was the case.

oh, good thinking! to be honest i didn’t even think to separate the two, but i have now edited to clarify that the question is who is responsible for nancy’s disappearance!

Going backwards a bit because I have just been lurking here and not posting, the weirdest thing to me from the beginning of this, as just a person with a close family and older grandparents around Nancy's age, is that she was brought back to the house, apparently, at almost 10pm (after arriving over four hours earlier at 5:30ish). I know people have different schedules, etc. but MOST people that age are in their home, if not in bed, by that time. It's just a biological thing for most older people. [Edit for details: They like to get into their Pjs, wash up, take out dentures ha, and sit in front of the Tv for a bit to wind down before going to bed].

We have my grandparents over for dinner often and it's usually a 5:30pm ish pickup, with a 7-8pm at the LATEST return home, we go in and make sure the temperature in the home is good if it's winter, that the lights are on, etc. No we don't have to do that/they would be fine on their own, but I think most people can attest to similar with older relatives, especially if they're not the best on their feet. Late at night they are usually tired.

So that stood out to me from the JUMP as a detail for a casual (four hour) family dinner down the road. The late return from dinner at the sister's... If she was dropped off at almost 10pm for most people that's not bed until 10:30. Which again is pretty late for an older person especially if she goes to church in the morning.
Y’all. 80 is the new 60 for many people. Being 80 doesn’t mean you’re in a nursing home, being tucked into bed, unable to care for yourself. Etc. I don’t see anything particularly nefarious about coming home at 9:48 pm.

Could it be to prevent comments on their page after AB pointed the finger?
That’s most likely. When I was reading the page on Wednesday evening I didn’t notice any accusatory comments towards TC but that was probably before AB.

I’m thinking NG never made it home and that’s why LE released the home to the family so quickly. Or did I miss the part where LE was seen taking a bunch of evidence from NG’s home?

I'm thinking that a real kidnapper should know something about the scene which is very specific to the scene.

The fact that they mentioned broken floodlights which everyone could see were broken makes me think it's possibly an opportunist or someone who is just trying to confuse things as much as possible, a troll.

I know they also mentioned the watch. But my opinion stays that if they knew something very specific, they didn't even need to bring the floodlights up. There were so many other elements from the crime scene that they could have mentioned instead if they were real.
