AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

They are making public videos because it's the only way they can communicate with the kidnappers. The family (TC) is NOT, I repeat IS NOT involved, in the kidnapping IMO. Expand your horizons..Someone didnt want SG, perhaps, at the Olympics...the timing is suspect. If they just wanted to rob the mother, that could have been accomplished easily. This is about SG in some twisted form. Not that i think she is involved with the perps, but someone wanted to grab her attention. JMO. Second guess is a grudge something or other against the brother, Cameron and the military. Who's with me? MOO
I think the only connections to SG are financial and possibly the notable attention due to her celebrity influence. Between SG and her husband 6 million in Bitcoin is easily attainable. SG’s celebrity status brings a huge extra layer of attention.

If they are still not cleared a week later what does that say?
the way things are going I think those criticizing AB might have to think again.

I have had to go to mom's this past week early in the morning (to give her dang cat his insulin lol) I have been parking out front and have had to ask her to unlock the front door for me because... I have NEVER used it and don't even have a key for it. We usually use the backdoor and it has a keypad. I was thinking I should probably have a key for that door lol

I don't think it would be odd at all if the family also used the garage to enter the home. I think it is quite normal for everyone to have their preferred entrance into their home and family follows suit.
Hahaha I dont have a key for my own front door 🤦‍♀️ because we only use the garage but all of these comments have me feeling like I'm doing something wrong! 😅

Was thinking the same, lot on here owe her an apology if she is proven correct.

Is anyone else like damn, im not having anyone over to my house ever again in the rare chance they do get murdered/kidnapped/held for ransom in the middle of the night and im the last person to see them?
that is not the reason they are at AG's house. What are they taking photos of the mahjong game? Something else is going on here. All day with the gas station....which is one minute from AG's house and. on the route to NG...so many things. All we really know about the family dynamics is what we have seen from SG who would talk about her mother. Maybe there is a real back story here on the relationships between NG and AG and TC or between AG and her sister? How about TC and NG.....sure he gave her a ride home but again I want to know much more.

Agree. I hope it's not family but I've it felt from the beginning it is. It does not make logical sense that LE would spend this much time over the last week at AG's house, getting a search warrant and impounding their car, taking evidence from the garage, etc. if they weren't serious suspects. They haven't given this much time or attention to any other location aside from NG's house.

They are not doing all this just to rule them out. Ruling out would have been done within a day of just looking at AG's house's Ring cam footage, license plate readers and traffic cameras along the route between houses, and phone/watch data. Obviously whatever they have said for timeline and whereabouts isn't matching with that technical data and could explain why the car is being looked at, if the car was seen outside of their supposed timeline. I also believe AB and her source didn't pull this info out of thin air and she is a reliable crime journalist with sources she trusts. JMO!
Authorities did not impound ag's car. They impounded NG's car.

In my opinion, NG’s disappearance is being treated as a criminal event, and the highest probability is that the key evidence is tied to someone with close access, either directly or indirectly. The highest probability is Foul play by someone in the “close access circle” (family or known person) and this is simply because it requires the fewest assumptions and fits the strongest part of what we are seeing publicly in their investigation. This doesn’t mean the family is involved, it could very well be a connection within the family of someone they know that has been in both NG and AG’s home.

Looks like I am in the minority here. We live in an area with extremely cold winters and extremely hot summers so we try to keep our garage closed whenever possible. Not to mention the wear and tear on the garage door opener from opening & closing many times per day. Thanks all!
Yeah every family and every home is different. I'm gonna guess they're garage door people.

Sorry if this has been discussed, it's so hard to keep up! Has anything been confirmed about the reports that NG failed to show for church and someone from the church alerted her family ? I've only seen info stating she hasn't attended church in person since COVID and instead viewed via video and that video feed does not show who is watching the video.
NO. This is my bugaboo and I’m sorry I keep getting hung up on it because I think it’s absolutely pivotal. JMO.

The church issued a statement that did not clarify. The person/persons who allegedly made the call are not named or even interviewed by the press. Frankly, it’s my opinion that this simple fact is being obfuscated purposely. Does it harm the case to clarify whether NG attended services in person?? This is like the question of NG’s cane: where was it?

(N.b., The Sheriff omitted this alleged call from the most recent timeline. Whether or not it was a clerical omission or intentional is not known. Some media outlets continue to include it in subsequent articles about the timeline/summary, some omit it as well.)

I’ll die on this hill: There’s something hinky about this particular aspect of the case. I think the call was quietly debunked. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s my current opinion.

Is it true that the media has discovered how much the ransom amount was or is that news untrustworthy? Opened up an article believe it was from Fox and it said the ransom amount was for six million.
I saw that breaking news too. Hard to tell what is trustworthy news any more but Fox is MSM. If one more MSM jumps onboard then it's probably true.

A small foreign faction you say?
Not necessarily foreign faction but a criminal cell ,

Other thoughts
If Nancy regularly went to AG and SIL home on a Friday could this faction put listening and tracking devices in their home and on their vehicles to see when Nancy arrived and when she left and when BIL arrived home after dropping off . They would want to make sure that BIL didn't return within a few minutes if say Nancy had forgotten something in the car

I personally can't see BIL and AG thinking they could get away with this and even if they never planned on touching the bitcoin and it was only a ruse . 6 million is very tempting to not ever touch especially if your net worth is not in that ball park .

Has it been verified they took AG or SILs autos?

Yes, they impounded AG's car earlier in the week. The sheriff addressed it in the last press conference (before NG's car was towed). He said the car was towed and impounded as part of a search warrant, which he explained was normal or usual (but it's really not). He was responding it seemed to AB's reporting.

FWIW, snippets.. 2023 rbbm.

''Where are homicide victims disposed? A study of disposed homicide victims in Queensland''

Jim Whitehead APM 1,∗, Richard Franklin 1, Tracey Mahony 1
'The study identified four (4) key commonalities observed in the dataset, (1) East is the predominant direction for victim disposal; (2) The offender's vehicle was the most common method of victim transport followed by carrying/dragging; (3) concealment with leaf litter and local debris was the norm, followed by no attempt at concealment; and (4) victims were moved less than 50 m from a road or track after transport.''

''The acquaintance relationship category had the highest number of victims removed from the incident site 48.3 %, and also the largest range of the movement options at four, although there were a small number where the method was unknown, Table 3. Almost half of acquaintances, 49.2 %, used their own motor vehicle to dispose of their victims compared to 42.6 % of familial and 41 % of no known relationship. Carrying or dragging the victim was higher within the no known relationship category, followed by familial and acquaintance, 54.5 %, 37 % and 35.2 % respectively. Victim movement in the no known relationship category was limited to carrying/dragging and offender or other persons vehicle, while the familial category had the most instances where the movement method was unknown, 20.4 %.''
'Method of victim transport by relationship.'

Has it been verified they took AG or SILs autos?
Sheriff said it in the press conference as he responded seemingly to AB's reporting. He said "the car"...was towed and impounded as part of a usual search warrant. I'll try to find video.

Edited to add, he said this before NG's car was towed.

is it possible they're just using AG & T's house as a base for processing and documenting evidence found at NG's? would that ever happen? if they believe it's a legit ransom from someone who still has NG and they believe them to be in the area, maybe they don't want to go too far?
In my opinion, no. They would take evidence to a lab for processing to avoid cross contamination and chain-of-custody issues.

Do they know if she had Google location service enabled or Life360 some type of tracking app??
