Is there an eye witness to Nancy returning home? Like someone walking their dog, etc?

  • #12,422
Exactly. What I’m saying is if AG/SIL are innocent, there is a reason why they had to check on NG. If they are innocent it’s not a hard timeline to explain, for what reason did they check in on her and go to her house at 11:56. 8 days later and we don’t have that answer? Cmon
The thing is too that LE has been there and last night with searching /photo equipment/lights it appears. They HAVE to have a suspicion for a reason. IMO

Just a warning that AI isn’t entirely accurate. It was giving me funky results on the Guthrie case, so I had to go do the research myself.

True story: I was asking ChatGPT about the date of death for Rob and Michelle Reiner - on January 9th - and it told me that they were very much alive! I have screenshots. Despite the deluge of news stories about their untimely murders, AI was telling me they were alive.
That's because you're using a free version that was last updated prior to their deaths. You need to ask it to check current events before it answers.

The best way to use it is to ask it to give you sources where it got its answer from. Then you can check those media outlets directly. This goes for any AI program.

An 84 year old frail woman who is in constant pain and requires a walking cane to walk cannot physically take off seatbelt, grab her belongings (purse, walking cane, maybe coat), and get out of a car and inside home via garage in 120 seconds. The front of house entry way had lights on. Why have an elderly woman enter house through garage? I think the crime started after Uber driver dropped NG off at Tucson sister's house.
Where are you getting these details,... You must add a viable msm link to declare such things.

As far as I have read--Nancy was NONE of these things...except carried a cane.

Escalating from asking for a small loan to murder and a demand for $6 million in cryptocurrency is quite a leap.
Yep. But people lose their cool and do something they don't intend to or regret over small things and emotionally charged arguments (i.e. the adult brother recently killed his brother in a rage of losing a video game battle). OMG what have you done! -- human panics- doubles down to cover the "accident", continues stupid choices.

The crypto ransom is still not absolutely confirmed to be related directly to her disappearance, or could be an after the fact misdirection or opportunistic fraud by a second party.

Am I the only one thinking that there shouldn’t be ANYTHING left to search on or near NG’s property after all this time? Shouldn’t that all have been covered already in the first day or two of a missing person investigation?

We have no idea if the ransom thing is real. Most subject matter experts have said it does not seem real based on the “kidnappers” behavior.

I’m pretty sure it was just the son in laws testimony. I was curious about this as well, but looking at the neighborhood, houses seem pretty separated and far off the road. There also are no sidewalks.

Exactly 😡

Could it be possible that someone didn't want her covering the Olympics because they wanted someone else to cover it, not because of her politics, simply for the exposure or experience?
Interesting theory!

a random way out there thought—

Could she have been drugged or poisoned at AG’s to make her more “docile” for the later kidnapping, and that’s what all the searching is about over there? looking for “that” type of drug or poison? GHB type stuff?

Maybe T had “friends” abduct her from her home and was told by abductors to make sure she was subdued first?

I know far fetched, but I’m just at a loss with this case. It’s so bizarre.

Not an ambulance or tent until a body is actually found.
Maybe they were only told that she’s in a “hole”? , therefore the map and manhole preliminary search?

Savannah described her mother as being in constant pain in the first video. However, I would need to know who was present for dinner before I could conclude anything else. I am very concerned that SIL was involved because it appears that he was "the last to see".

And I dont think the ransom note is a random jerk because they seemed to know things about the crime scene that one could not guess. Beyond that I'm not prepared to go.

She said “Celebrate with her.” I don’t think people would phrase it that way for a Celebration of Life ceremony. IMO
I think they phrased it that way intentionally. What is unsaid in this phrase is "Celebrate [her life] with her [body returned to us."] ( brackets and bolding mine).

So, LE only have one person’s word about her return?

I am undecided/not convinced that AG and/or her husband has anything to do with NG's disappearance. If they do, I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest extent. If they don't, I can't imagine the pain that they and the rest of the family is and will go through for the rest of their lives.

I am the local daughter that has the responsibility of caring for my mom who has some dementia. It can be both a blessing and a curse and can be a source of some very difficult family dynamics - even in the best of families. I can imagine that there may be a certain amount of resentment from AG towards SG & CG - not that she doesn't love them and can even be proud of/happy for them and their success. But it can be very hard to be the one that is faced with the day-to-day care of an aging parent. Even if NG wasn't in need of full-time "care", there is still the sense that you (AG in this case) are the one to make sure she is OK, that she gets to appointments, social things, has/takes her medicine, runs errands, makes sure household and financial things are done, etc. And you do this day in, day out while your siblings live far away and may seem blissfully unaware of the day-to-day care you provide. It often feels like you are the sole person responsible for your mom's health, safety, etc.

So when this tragedy happened, even if AG had nothing to do with it, I can easily see how she could feel responsible/guilty and/or even feel like the rest of the family is blaming her. Add to this that this is a very public case and there is so much speculation that AG and/or her husband are involved and that many in the media/social media are openly saying they are guilty. Imagine how difficult it must be to deal with your mom being missing under this circumstances and then having to cope with the public blame and worry if your own siblings may believe you are responsible. And even if they aren't "responsible" in the sense that they harmed NG, the pain of feeling responsible because you were the last one to see her and that you didn't keep her safe and wondering if your own siblings are questioning your involvement must be unbearable.

One of the things I love about Websleuths is that it is victim-friendly so I am kind of surprised that there has been so much posted here openly accusing AG and/or TC of being involved. I understand and respect that Websleuths is where we share our thoughts, theories, etc but I always thought that we weren't supposed to speculate about someone's involvement unless/until they were named a person of interest by LE. I really hope that AG (and TC) had nothing to do with this and that somehow the family will be able to heal at some point.
Yeah. I very much want to believe they're not involved. It genuinely seemed like NG loved them deeply, they all looked happy in the Christmas photo, she spoke about how much she loved AG's son, AG was probably doing a lot in helping her etc. It's just been tough with AB saying her "source" told her the SIL was a top suspect (which I could discount), but then also them searching and photographing AG's house for a long time and taking a lot of stuff out of it.

I truly hope there's an innocent explanation and the home searching/photographing was for routine reasons...

I consider the same.
I was wondering if she maybe had a little incident where she damaged it hitting something not of value and didn't want to hear about it from her daughter, maybe again. Maybe she isn't driving as well as she used to and her kids have tried to get her to stop driving? So maybe she took the uber because she didn't want a lecture? It is odd to take an uber for a 4 mile drive. Did she drink wine? Maybe she thought she would have some wine at her bday and didn't want to drive even 4 miles back home after having some? So much we don't know. I find it funny sometimes how my family members who are not into true crime just hear me talking about a case and they will spit out the most common sense answer to the whole thing. After watching so many cases I always want to compare current ones with past ones but this one I can't think of one that even comes close to this.

Yes agreed we even talked about different kinds of septic covers, whether earth had been disturbed and checking to see if lid had been lifted recently. :(
We talked about it the first time we saw a truck with a tank on the back.🤷‍♀️
