I wonder if the police/FBI left trail cams hidden in the shrubs, and that's why they returned today. AFAIK, trail cams operate on batteries and are not hooked up to electricity or internet; they have a memory card inside which can be removed and the footage viewed.

To see if anyone returned to the scene.

If that were true, neither one of them should have driven her home.
Ok. I think it’s been well established that many of you think NG should have been picked up for dinner. Why are we being so critical of these family victims? They have an unspeakable tragedy on their hands.

Amateur opinion and speculation only

It’s the next morning at 11:56 they go back and check on her. Why did they? No one knows. LE removed it.

I am sorry @academyrd .... I had read your post totally wrong

Early on, there was lots of back and forth about how/why she was missed, so as to alarm someone in the church, because she would zoom in to those services.

I believe most of us were feeling that this was totally credible....
We had Zoom services in my church during Covid, and we, in the Church, could always look at the Zoom screen to see who was "dialing in".

But you seem to be questioning the WHY the family would bother to check in on NG. I believe the following answers that question.

I thought we read that LE had questioned the Church person and determined she made two calls:
1)Nancy's phone and then
2)Family's phone

Would this history make you think the idea of a kidnapping might be top of mind if you are staging a death?

In a poignant chapter of her book, Savannah Guthrie explains how a family tradition helped her grow closer to God.

During the summers, Guthrie said her cousin Teri would stage a mock “kidnapping” – piling Savannah and her sister, Annie, into a station wagon with their cousins before embarking on a road trip from Tucson to Phoenix.

During the trip the Guthrie girls would find a payphone and call home to their mother who, she writes, “would feign shock … then assure us she’d drive up to retrieve us in a few days.”

I'm also confused by DJT's statement earlier this week which implied there would be a major breakthrough pretty soon 🧐
I'm guessing there is unlikely to be much progress today with the SuperBowl being on?
That wouldn't affect these workers/LE I'd think, but most would prob be loving to be sitting with a beer watching. It's not their team area but that doesn't mean anything I think for football fanatics. It's on at 6 pm eastern time. Three hours later there: CA. Earlier in Arizona by maybe an hour.. THESE time zone things across the country. It's Sunday so maybe that holds up things but I think these type of things, even labs are 'open' 24/7. IMO

Respectfully, an 84 year old woman who has been said cannot ambulate further than 50ft. and who has been said to need daily medication for survival would indeed be considered frail, in the plain sense of the word. She is on blood thinners and has bandages, bruises and wounds in several photos. Have you listened to her speaking in the cactus margarita scene with SG? There is an element of frailty there. And I don't mean that disrespectfully. Many 84 year olds would not be considered frail. I would consider my 93 year old grandmother frail and very comparable in the physical condition of NG.
Just to clarify…I think it was 50 yds.

LE could very well stop speculation about the SIL...but they aren't. They aren't clearing anyone in the family (though, I assume Savannah was in NY but haven't looked that up). To me, thats the biggest sign of all.
IMO, They are holding their cards super close and whatever those cards are, it’s not for public consumption. Correcting rumors often requires revealing WHY they’re false. That “WHY" might expose evidence only the perpetrator would know. Just my opinion.

That's not a septic tank in BE's post.
I just stated "tank", I no nothing about these on properties. I've never owned a property with a tank, or opening like this.

If they really did luminol tests at AG's house and found anything, don't you think they'd have ripped the place apart and carried out more than a paper bag?

Residential septage is not hazardous waste.
You are correct I assumed hazardous. It does require “special handling”.

In Virginia,, domestic septic waste is generally
notclassified as hazardous waste under Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations. While it poses environmental and health risks (biohazardous), it is regulated under separate solid waste and sewage disposal rules, not as a listed hazardous waste.
  • Definition: Domestic sewage (untreated sanitary waste) is specifically excluded from being classified as hazardous waste.
  • Regulations: Septic systems in Virginia are governed by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and local ordinances, focusing on proper treatment and disposal rather than hazardous waste protocols.
  • Exception: If septic waste becomes mixed with industrial waste or other materials that make it

I this case will be a shock when it's solved. I'm sure there is more going on behind the spot light. It bothers me that whoever did it wants the added attention. They think they are smarter than everyone. People like that tend to get caught. At least I hope for this family

Per some sleuthing... This may be nothing but Nancy is listed in one corporate filing for a business. Filing date: May 13, 1988.
She is listed as the secretary.
This business lists one man as the President AND treasurer. This business' SEC Status
says Permanently Revoked.

Is there anyone here who knows anything about business filings and can share what these terms mean?

The last amendment was in 2007.

Feels like historic filings? Is it the same NG, there is another one who seems like a public religious figure?

That's a strange take. Why would the superbowl affect this investigation at all.
They are from Great Britain and this Super Bowl appears around as really a thing that stops everything. IMO

Honestly, this is frankly insane that there is no real update a week after an 84 year old woman goes missing. Either a very complex case and they are taking time, or they are completely incompetent.
I agree with this, especially given how much attention this case is currently receiving. But it also makes me think about those who go missing and are only “lucky” enough to get a few articles if that. Jmo.

True but in many places a federal detainee would still be housed in a county jail - it would where I live - but I did also check bop.com (federal bureau of prisons) and found nothing there either.
It didn't dawn on me that just because my area has a BOP facility nearby not everyone else does lol

Why is everyone so hung up on money and financial worth of the family? It really sounds mercenary. IMO, it's been a week and only last night did they say "we will pay". They know no more now than theu did when she disappeared and no money has changed hands and 530 tomorrow is a deadline. Playing games as to if the ransom demand is real or not, is risky business. They waited too long. IMO, this woman will not be recovered alive. Too much BS..red herrings like the AB story about TC, and wayyyy too much time wasted. Why would you barter for your mother's life? JMO.. I am getting disgusted with the obsession as to who is worth what and who pays. You can always make more money but you cant make more time. MOO
Because money is one of the main motives in many murders and most kidnappings for ransom?

(it is also the number one reason given for divorce and family acrimony)
