1. I absolutely have to agree with your first point.

2. As to your second point:

The 2 may be connected: SIL having some kind of friend or partner continue the ransom ruse which began at the start of an accidental killing ( perhaps during a threat from NG regarding some kind of fraud she was reporting to authorities?) as a coverup story and misdirection.

I thought about that and my only problem with it is, how do you find someone that quickly that is not just capable of perpetuating the ransom thing, but is willing to break the law and receive serious jail time if they are found out.

Our old cottage has a septic tank re-done about 30 years ago, and that's about the size of the opening. It is definitely large enough in diameter for a person to descend through it.

Ok. I think it’s been well established that many of you think NG should have been picked up for dinner. Why are we being so critical of these family victims? They have an unspeakable tragedy on their hands.

Amateur opinion and speculation only
I don't. I Imagine that the Uber was NG's choice and is further proof of her independence. We oldies deeply appreciate assistance when we truly need it, but do not want to be burdensome. It MAY have been a routine that NG would take an Uber to AG's and AG or TC would take her home after dark.

Would this history make you think the idea of a kidnapping might be top of mind if you are staging a death?

In a poignant chapter of her book, Savannah Guthrie explains how a family tradition helped her grow closer to God.

During the summers, Guthrie said her cousin Teri would stage a mock “kidnapping” – piling Savannah and her sister, Annie, into a station wagon with their cousins before embarking on a road trip from Tucson to Phoenix.

During the trip the Guthrie girls would find a payphone and call home to their mother who, she writes, “would feign shock … then assure us she’d drive up to retrieve us in a few days.”
interesting sleuthing for sure.....odd memory of playtime and so weird to consider now.

i get stuck on the luminol pictures part...if investigators used luminol to search for blood then took pictures ....wouldn't that mean they found blood? If nothing found, no need for pictures. Right??
They need to document that luminol testing showed no indication of blood. If they don't, the veracity, competence, and thoroughness of investigators can be questioned in cross-examination. Documenting the lack of results is necessary.

Can any people familiar with plumbing or house construction determine if this is related to them searching in the tanks today?

I guess only if he has been involved in prior crimes with you (drugs?) and you have something on him; he owes you, and you promise him the "ransom" money?

I don't even know why this keeps coming up. It's been eye-opening in a way to see how many treat the elderly as totally lacking independence and autonomy. Jmo.

I wonder if the police/FBI left trail cams hidden in the shrubs, and that's why they returned today. AFAIK, trail cams operate on batteries and are not hooked up to electricity or internet; they have a memory card inside which can be removed and the footage viewed.

To see if anyone returned to the scene.
A better use of their time and resources would just be to ask the media that has been camped out at the house 24/7 the past week.

Exactly. For we know she may have insisted after they told them they were busy cooking/prepping and had some wine already etc.

My neighbor is 90 and defiantly independent. The kids put Ring cams on their house to spy on him. He still lies to them about things in fear they'll put him in a home.

Our vacation/lake house had a septic tank...that's too big an opening for septic. And the tanks are usually close to the house with the field drains going outward, downhill and away.
My opinion... that's a septic tank cover, they're likely looking for anything that may have been flushed.

In this vid, he's "sticking" the bottom of the tank, feeling for something, not sure what. Anything heavy or large couldn't be flushed too easily, if at all.

Bingo. I think the 2 are connected.

One thing I got from Brian Entin video a couple of nights ago.....the fact that they are not using lights to do night search. He had a guest on that I think is retired from LE and he mentioned that the Sheriff would not go against the light ordinance but he could. Seems like nightime is being wasted for any searching.

Why if it was the sil - would they risk abducting her from her bed? Seems bizarre .

Why is everyone so hung up on money and financial worth of the family? It really sounds mercenary. IMO, it's been a week and only last night did they say "we will pay". They know no more now than theu did when she disappeared and no money has changed hands and 530 tomorrow is a deadline. Playing games as to if the ransom demand is real or not, is risky business. They waited too long. IMO, this woman will not be recovered alive. Too much BS..red herrings like the AB story about TC, and wayyyy too much time wasted. Why would you barter for your mother's life? JMO.. I am getting disgusted with the obsession as to who is worth what and who pays. You can always make more money but you cant make more time. MOO
Because the ransom note author demanded $6 million or else.

Bleach. It reacts with iron.
Yikes. I deep clean my garage and scrub the floors with Comet + bleach every few years. That could really light up a luminol screening!
