fear went through me as well......
IF they are looking in wells with no gloves or masks.... are they just pretending to be working here?
One thing I'm confident of is that they are not pretending to be working this case.

I thought you were joking so had to look it up. Apparently it's a thing and called K&R insurance. I'm going to venture a guess that she does not have it. Who would think they needed it unless you're a VERY high profile individual who is known to have money out the wazoo.

Kidnap & ransom insurance is designed to help protect your organization from the financial impact of sudden and unexpected expenses related to kidnapping, extortion and ransom or illegal detention. Kidnap & ransom insurance policies provide coverage typically for monies paid to kidnappers or extortionists, loss of ransom in transit and other expenses incurred as a result of a kidnapping.

These threats are very real and can happen to any business. Someone could have a grudge against you, your company or your employees. Someone could even try to force you to reveal company trade secrets. Even when no ransom money is paid, these stressful situations can create unexpected costs and have a significant impact on your business's bottom line.

I asked this because I know she travels for NBC. K&R coverage is a common for those who travel to certain places in the world. Would not be unreasonable for her to have this, IMO.

We received your message and we understand. First words in Savanah's plea, especially , We understand.
Any idea what this could mean ? I've been wracking my brains on this !
What could anyone understand in all this ?
Anyone ?

Are you saying that if her employer has kidnap insurance SG would not bother with it?
no as with most insurance like that you pay and file a claim after. Of course she would do that but that takes time. They don't have time. In all honesty I think the $$ is the last thing on her mind.

That makes even more sense. I was thinking she didn't have it as part of her own personal insurance.

everyone will have their own take on it. Personally I think it means that there was an additional message that informed them she is not alive.

It has been eerily quiet today. I really hope this means here have been big advances in the investigation.

I think it’s just them responding to whatever threat was hurled their way in those letters. They are trying to maintain communication despite whatever awful thing was contained in the letter. Suppose it said “if you ever want to see your mom’s body again send the money now” — “we understand” would be an appropriate response. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

I had initially wondered if she was lured out her bed and the house by something she heard but if she wears hearing aids that is less probable
My mom takes them out to charge at night.

Here's something id like to know one day: Did AG try to call or text mom about some random topic, gets no answer, then calls a good friend of the mom to say, I can't reach my mom was she in church online this am?
Or does friend notice NG not in church, call AG to mention? Also, I noticed they were over there promptly at 12noon. I have never been to a service that gets out at 12 on the dot. Just an observation. I realize there are early services. Do we know what time the church service starts and ends??

In the context of this story, did you see the weird AI generated Super Bowl commercial with all the big stars in their primes, followed by the brightly colored text screens? It was advertising the generic concept of crypto. It's scary times we are living in.

I didn't think that news anchor's logic made any sense. I don't really care for some news anchor's opinion.
She is one of the few people in the media who has actually read both letters, so I think reading between the lines of her take is relevant. I was trying to read her facial expressions to get a read on if she had any idea of Nancy's status. I thought the anchor looked a little too perky to have total bad news, but when she says the note contains sensitive info, she does look a little grim, so I have no idea.

Why take the opportunity to be on TV. and say nothing. if you cant say anything why come on?
the only info i got out of that was that the note was trying to establish that they were the same people that wrote the first note. OKAY…and now what? It’s very frustrating

Agreed -- if you were trying to pull a Tonya Harding (because you're next in line to report on the Olympics in Italy and you want Savannah out of the way), you'd go for her kneecaps, so to speak... not murder her elderly mother.
Now wait a second right there sister
You don't believe Tonya when she says she had nothing to do with it?

I'm sure she has to be very careful and is being guided by LE , FBI .. on what she can reveal , after all that news station is the one getting the most vital communication from the perp(s). I would not want to be her. She just can't tell us what she thinks or feels in regards to the emails. I think she's being very professional , she has to be !

I'd like to believe that she is. However, in order to do so, I'd have to believe that the nefarious person or persons who kidnapped her are warm-hearted enough to keep her alive and tend to her needs for a week or more. It's possible. But the bloodstains on the porch lead my mind in a different
Hello! First time posting so please excuse any mistakes I make. I’m confused by the bloodstains on the porch. From what I saw it looked like the blood droplets were going toward the door and then spatter to the side of the door. If they were exiting through the front door it would seem difficult to open and close both doors while also taking a bloodied NG with you. Could she have been going toward the door instead and was stopped by someone? Admittedly I have no idea how blood spatter works I just think with my own doors how difficult it would be to exit through them and leave a mark like that. Although I guess the blood would be smeared had she been moving towards it. Again, sorry it’s just been bugging me all day and I’m overwhelmed with so much information and I’m just confused.

Just speculating here. In the siblings' first video to the "kidnappers" SG bluntly stated they needed proof their mother was still alive. I assume the second message was in response to that video. According to the news anchors that saw the second message it did not contain proof of life. My speculation is that the "kidnappers" responded they could not prove life. SG then says, "We understand."

The anchors also stated there were no demands in the second message so the, "We understand" was apparently not in response to any demands. I think SG knows her mother is gone (one way or another) and is asking for her remains.

Speculation and opinion.

Edit: Also in the second siblings' video SG did not ask the "kidnappers" not to hurt her mother, made no attempt to humanize her mother, made no appeal to mercy at all.

I take it to mean we understand what we have to do to comply with your demands
Just my opinion
