I just feel it is much less likely someone in a live stream would notice and question a specific person not in attendance. Much less likely than an in-person service. Too many people, too much going on. I don't think I ever spend much time thinking about who and who isn't attending an online meeting.

Hmm right, but why go so fast with an arrest of the "hoaxer" before going in on AG and SIL?

I think LE found other things that had them go in on them. They had been waiting on results as they said, on 'things'. One big one would be the text/phone call logs from their phone service providers. You do need a warrant for those I believe. Timing does not add up on something they told LE would make LE go after them, their house, as last place NG was for sure and that is due to the Uber driver saying he picked her up and brought her to that addie. DNA results collected may of come back as well as I'd think samples would be 'routinely' collected from all that were around NG. LE knows what to do on the down low too. They def have REASON. (those flashing lights in their house/garage tells a story) IMO

The man allegedly used an app to create a fake phone number to text the family, according to a federal complaint.

According to the federal complaint, Derrick Callella allegedly sent a text message to both the daughter and son-in-law of Nancy on Wednesday that said, "Did you get the bitcoin were [sic] waiting on our end for the transaction."

And even if it was set up for chatting, my experience is that most elderly people don't chat. A few people might say "Good Morning" and most people don't chat on the online church services that I'm familiar with.

What is with these billboards?

Do we actually know the current status of the investigation i.e. whether it is currently a (i) missing person / kidnap or (ii) homicide investigation? It sounded like it was (i) very briefly on Sunday, then became (ii), then unclear on Monday, then maybe back to (i) later in the week?

Law enforcement has clammed up completely since last Thursday. No press conferences. No interviews. No appeals for the public's help. I think they're putting their case together and don't need the public for anything.

My opinion.

Nancy may have continued telling friends and family she was "going to church" every Sunday even though she was no longer going in person. A detail that she may not have clarified with those she mentioned church to. As a result - Anyone claiming Nancy wasn't at church that morning (in order to trigger an investigation, alibi or whatever) would set themself up to get caught in the web they were weaving.

Three potential scenarios that creep in from time to time -

My hunch is that an obsessive fan of SG, likely unknown to her or her handlers, meticulously planned all of this because of a perceived slight/rejection. Planned potentially for years, but could've also occurred when she aired the "Coming Home" special highlighting her family and city.

Second thought is an old middle school/high school/college classmate, likely an introvert not really adept at girls (but a whiz in the classroom), who secretly idolized and obsessed over getting her attention but never did. Likewise, a perceived slight or rejection occurred at some point along the way.

A girl, much like the classmate above, secretly longed for acceptance from cliques but it never occurred and never has occurred.

I was just re-reading the DC complaint. It's a short document. Everyone should read it to have first-hand information rather than just relying on recaps from others.

I don't find this to be compelling evidence that DC was working with AG or TC. I think it's just clumsy wording of a demand for bitcoin. This does not look like a smoking gun to me at all, IMO.

Also, I notice that it says, "On the morning of February 1, 2026, a friend of N.G.'s contacted the victim's family and notified them that N.G. had not attended church that morning." Criminal complaints are of course not perfect documents, but I'd be somewhat surprised if this detail was included without them being fairly sure it's true as of the time of writing (Thursday, Feb 5). I continue to be somewhat skeptical of the church member phone call, but this is evidence in favor of it having happened, and being left off of the sheriff's timeline for some other reason. MOO.

The guy they arrested is not tc’s bandmate. There was another person with a criminal record who IS on his band that people were speculating about-but they are two different people I believe.

I've been thinking about the video that was released where all of Nancys kids were filmed. That video was from inside AGs house. Do you think LE wanted them to film the video in that house so they could get a little peek at the house before getting a warrant to look closer?
