This entire investigation needs to be retooled fast.
Everything that was done for the last week was half-@SS because nobody, Pima sheriff, FBI, family knew exactly what kinda crime they were looking at, so there was no focus on anything.
It was the family, I think, that latched onto the now apparently bogus ransom notes. Understandably, I think, because it gave them hope. The FBI was lukewarm about it but felt obliged to help the family, and the sheriff’s department never bought into a kidnapping. A week of kicking rocks, climbing roofs and playing flashlight tag in people’s houses.
What we’re left with is, no robbery, victim’s blood, no clue why someone took an 84 year old woman. It’s starting to look more like a crazy, with a strange unknowable motive, perhaps related to SG. I’m thinking a Jaime Closs type thing. Possession more important than money.

I saw your original post and when I went back to comment, couldn't find it. But I did want to say that your idea isn't that far fetched. Something with this entire case is off.

I'm sorry others made fun of you and that is something that should NOT be allowed. This site is supposed to be a safe place for everyone. I too am amazed at how rude others can be when a viewpoint, that is different from theirs, is shared. This is why I don't post a lot, because I have a very low tolerance level for that sort of thing.

Septic/well records that were pulled for Nancy's home. They have no record of a well and state they are connected to the City of Tucson water services. For septic it looks like they had a smaller septic tank that caused drain field failure back in 1991, so they then had 1,000 gallon septic tank installed. Here is the map portion of the approved permitting paperwork if anyone is curious.

But NG and her daughter were not connecting in a similar way if SG did not even notice NG was not there. They did not "attend" together.

Points taken. But we really didn't see a lot coming out of that house and we don't know what they took. We saw a paper bag. We surmise they at least took photos. That could have just been related to what they found out about Nancy's affairs which presumably AG helps manage. What we did not see was swarms of investigators, or the level of activity that would indicate they found a hot bed of evidence. It was pretty low key.

You're right no doubt they have all been questioned. But we have not heard that so and so has been at LE HQ for 12+ hours etc. I would think if that happened, media would have reported on that or it would be leaked. That would be a sign to me that LE really was looking seriously at someone. If it hasn't happened by now, I just can't see SIL being a prime suspect at this point. We'll see.

That's true. The counterpoint, which you rightfully make, is that very little was taken. It could also be argued that the evidence taken was less incriminating evidence (bloody knife) and more investigative (items that arent incriminating but help the investigation). What comes to mind is maybe a diary one would leave at a parent's house - or the housekeeper works at both locations and there is reason to believe something was left at the other house.

That's right she had a pool. I'm sure she hired people. When I had a pool, I had to check levels and skim leaves every single day, year round, (But mine was near a tree)

I don't see her needing much in the way of landscaping service however. I'm thinking probably had a quarterly service, unless she was picky about having leaves blown and everything deadheaded. Based on Google Street view, it looks like she had major trims and brush removal in winter and by November, things had grown over again. Not unusual in xeriscape. Her small lawn in the back appears to be artificial turf.

She absolutely had help. Her son in law lived minutes away and could have helped out with the pool (I do this for my mom's house). I would imagine he would stop by and help with subcontractors and workers hired (I wouldn't leave my 84 year old sick mom to handle that alone but who knows?)

She certainly had work done on the house and people coming and going. The neighbor who called in the "camera on the roof tip" stated in an interview that NG's roofs looked so clean in the drone footage because she had them recently re-sealed (which is large job, usually 2 or more people). Even with the low maintenance desert landscaping a property like that has a lot of upkeep.

I agree. I have never made a link between the two myself. If someone wanted to sabotage her chance of covering a story, there would be a multitude of other ways to do this than kidnap her mother. SG has also covered way higher profile events and stories than the Winter Olympics!

NOT SABOTAGE..Just keep her around and get her attention..IMO, A nut decided it was the right time to insert himself in SG's life and be noticed. SG, imo, was the actual target..Get the MOM, and i get vicarious attention from SG! MOO

her focus is not her sister and any discomfort she might be experiencing. Her focus is on her missing and possibly seriously injured or deceased mother. As it should be. JMO

Not a political post. Please don't reply with 'yeah but Trump is unreliable...", because he is/was being briefed by the highest levels at DOJ and the FBI, and the President saying something matters, whether friend or foe. He does (and did) know more than most by the nature of his position, his relationship and purported conversation with SG, and, good or bad, his often inserting himself and his office into the relevant public affairs of the day. Pretty sad that my disclaimer is longer than my post, but here goes:

I keep returning to a word that DJT used on the plane when he was asked whether resources were being deployed for a search, He specifically said 'not a search, a solution', or something to that effect. Granted, he said that a solution could very well happen soon, perhaps even 'within hours', but he did parse and emphasize that word. I wonder what he meant by that, and why he specifically scoffed at or shot down 'search' so quickly?

Re DJT comment. I’m just guessing, this was during the time, discussions were pay or don’t pay ransom. He may have asked FBI to pay( at least a small amount to keep convo going), or full amount if FBI thought it was a valid ransom note, at that time. FBI eventually determined, ransom was a hoax.
DJT would have loved to have brought back NG alive, as all would. I took his comment with a grain of salt.

I was watching a live stream outside the home last night until it got dark. It is a channel not approved here but I find it interesting. Guy puts in long hours so as to not miss anything "popping". There was a homeowner that came out and started yelling at media to get off their property. Got me to thinking. If you saw the cars parked on side of road and camera equipment and so many standing around on your r quiet street I would think it would be very unnerving. Some are operating noisy drones over people's homes...many with bright lights doing news reports etc. I have. to think that there should be a curfew on that street as well as AG street so these people can get some peace. Some crews are there all night. One guy mentioned should get food trucks out there. They are getting door dash deliveries. I bet neighbors will be asking for some limits as this could go on for some time.

Day 10 and we don’t know much of anything about this case. Until’s SG’s video plea the public for help (link below) I thought it was just because LE wasn’t releasing information but surely they must be getting somewhere. But if so, are they also withholding that information from the family from SG? She speaks of LE working tirelessly around the clock but seems to indicate that the only thing they (family) know is that NG was taken. They appear to be holding on to hope that she is alive as she speaks of believing NG is feeling the prayers.

Day 10 and it appears the family doesn’t know any more than we do - which is almost nothing.

Day 10 is it possible that LE doesn’t know anything after all this time? There have been no specific requests suggesting suspect descriptions or vehicle descriptions or suggesting a direction of travel etc. is it possible in this day and age of investigative tools and equipment that they don’t have anything to go on? I can’t make myself believe that’s true but can’t help thinking it might be.

In general, i feel sure they called or texted on occasion after sharing a church service together across the miles.
I live a long way from my grands. I watch some of their school events online. We call and text after.

I've been reviewing some of the crime scene footage and taking screenshots.

Not seeing any signs of forced entry on the doors or side gate, although it's true the Sheriff never confirmed there was forced entry.
