Does it seem to anyone else like he's (I'm going to assume HIM) wearing two different gloves on each hand. The one gripping the gun seems to have pronounced fingers but the one closest to the camera almost looks like a boxing glove with no pronounced fingers.
At least thats how it looks to me
He's wearing what looks like black nitrile or vinyl gloves over some other more padded gloves.

Does anyone know if LE has stated the time the pictures of the suspect were taken? There should be a time stamp. I was wondering if he was already in her home or if he was told when she would arrive?
1:47 a.m. was reported.

Because google retains all data. Data is saved to the cloud. The cloud is a server farm. FBI has access. The government has access.
As someone who has been on the receiving side of federal law enforcement subpoenas at a major tech company.... no. Not all data is retained, and the government does not have access (except to the data that is handed over as part of a subpoena or similar legal process).

If we want to talk about the NSA and Snowden and all of that, it's a different conversation (not on-topic here at all). But for purposes of this case, and federal law enforcement investigating a murder and/or kidnapping, there is no direct government access to that data, and the data is not globally retained forever. (Just trying to avoid perpetuation of conspiracy theories...)

Agree. The inner part of the ski mask kind of looks like skin but it really isn't. It is deceiving.

Now, the eyebrows are thick. That is for sure. And darker colored. And I do think that is a real mustache as well.
I don’t think anything is for sure. The mask and lights create and distort shadows and change white/black tints.

This guy has had 10 days to get away, he could be anywhere. I don’t know what to think about why he targeted N. If ransom isn’t the reason, then what is? Why take her at all?
Not only 10 days but 10 hours before anyone realized NG was missing.

True. But he grabs and holds the lantana from the yard in his left hand ???
Yes but think about it, if you are trying to protect yourself at all costs in case of being caught, you would be having your shooting hand ready to go. The intruder’s shooting hand appears to be their right hand therefore the left hand has to do everything else until they let their guard down. Just a thought!

I'm supposed to be working but saw your questions and couldn't resist taking a moment to respond....

1) Too soon to know if he was alone but doubtful. Also doubtful robbery was motive - partly because apparently nothing was taken and partly because a robber doesn't enter a house with a backpack full like that - he enters with an empty one so he can fill it up.

2) very possible 2nd person in back yard at same time or even a vehicle waiting to be notified front camera had been removed so car wouldn't be on video

3) not botched robbery - see #1 - IMHO it was either a planned kidnapping or a cover-up of something that had already happened - at the moment I am leaning totally toward a planned kidnapping

4) unlikely a car would have triggered a car driving by on the street but could have if in the driveway - depends on the parameters set by the homeowner as to how far away motion triggers recording - but if a car drove by on camera I'm pretty confident they would have released those pics/vids today too
I think you ought to call in sick for the rest of the day and keep posting your thoughts here 👍

This mask has a Clip on light under the bottom lip, I just can't get a good visual. I don't know of any ski-masks with that attachment
Clip-on light makes sense. They are small and he could also remove it quickly, but when it's clipped to something, you have your hands free.

There are a group of people who have what’s called Super Facial Recognition, and those people might be able to recognize who this is. Some people have the opposite, where they can’t recognize anyone. It’s just how we are made!

I am sort of like that but I have to have a full face

He must have come up to the house twice. Assuming the one of the right occurred first, where was his backpack and gun/holster at that time? Did he have a vehicle?

The holster looks kind of like a Hunter holster but the color is wrong and on that brand, the strap across the front is not a contrasting color as in the suspect photo. I cannot identify the gun, but it looks like some sort of semiauto pistol, so not meant for the revolver holster. I've never really seen a holster exactly like that, so if someone can identify it, perhaps it could be traced, as it's an uncommon model.

if you look above and below the lips, there appears to be very dark hair (or what looks like hair). wouldn't make sense to be a shadow and i don't think it would be skin since the skin around the eyes is lighter. could be a fake mustache/beard though.

edit: linking the picture didn't work sorry. i'll see if i can save and post it.

I think the eyes look like a woman too, and the eyebrows.

I believe this person to NOT be fat or chubby. I saw some comments to the contrary, but the video of his walkups looks NOT fat

I don’t have X so I can’t see your pics. But i saw one earlier that looks like he covered the firearm with his jacket.
Here’s a link of the video

Sees camera, retreats and picks up a plant to obscure the camera, likely as he is disabling it.

Would seem to indicate he wasn’t initially aware of the camera.
I agree. He seemed a bit caught off guard by the camera and slowly tried to figure out a way to block it. He seems quite well prepared except for that part which leads me to think he had not been casing the house for days or weeks prior. He looks like a burglar who decided to rob a random house… so why did he take an 84 yr old woman… and seemingly nothing else?? How horrifying for NG :( I didn’t really buy into the ransom theory, but I can’t think of any other motive after seeing this…

I’m a hiker and the shoes look like a light-colored hiking or trail boot, low to mid height, with a rounded toe. Most of the big hiking brands make something similar (Merrill Moab, Keen Targhee, or Salomon X ultra).
VERY good observation imo

i've seen men with eyes that look like that, what would be considered more on the 'feminine' side. i think the body appears male, but you never know. could be a woman in disguise.

Why would be hold these flowers up for the camera? That is SOOO strange. Can anyone identify what kind they are? Maybe there's a clue in that. For some reason the occult/witchcraft use is coming to mind. I know that's crazy but everything about this case is just that. CRAZY.

I thought it kind of looked like he was trying to use them to block the camera while he disabled it. It didn't work very well at all.

I think the eyes look like those of a female, the eyebrows too look feminine.
