I know it’s the same guy, but why appear without his gun, backpack and eyes covered?
And we know they removed the nest camera. Which appears to be what’s happening towards the end of those videos. The camera is disconnected at 1:47am. Which would mean the picture of him without the backpack, IMO, happened first. Which doesn’t really make sense for a variety of reasons but who knows

Or tracking the place he bought all those items. Maybe a shopkeeper remembers someone coming in to buy a ski mask, which is a pretty memorable thing to buy at this time of year in a warm place?
that's why I said maybe has a motorcycle or moped... but he could be a skier too...a person without a headlamp, so not a camper :(

So does the fact he was blocking the camera with them, especially since he had already approached it and walked back to get some. That sounds more far-fetched to me. Just trying to ponder other reasons he'd do that. I'm not convinced he did what I said, it was an idea I was tossing out.

All JMO.

ETA - Plus, he's not even trying to hide behind them, or use them to block his face. Not from this angle. Nope.

It just looks more like an offering to me, not like he's using the flowers to shield his face.

All I know is if I was trying to hid my face... 1) I would have done it BEFORE walking up to where there was likely a camera, and 2) I'd do a lot better job than this. My face wouldn't be seen unlike this guy's face.

John Miller CNN:

Number of opportunities here:

The items in the video may have been thrown away and could be recovered (backpack, gloves, mask, etc). Someone may see an item and remember seeing it in an unusual spot.

Were they discarded together? Were they purchased together as part of a "mission kit."
Check the walmarts, it's helped in many cases.

I am kinda stuck on they keep going back to Annie's house-- I don't know what to think about this except that she and her husband are suspects.
If you can’t nail them, keep checking until there’s no further evidence…Correct?
No stone unturned!

What I don't understand is that even without a subscription to the ring camera the FBI was able to work with a tech company to unearth the video of the suspect at her door at 2 am. If they could do that why can't they unearth a video of when she was dropped off at her home around 9:45 pm Jan 31st.
We don’t know that they didn’t. Why would they give that info to the public?

The #FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance. New images released today show an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance. The FBI seeks information that will lead to the identity of this individual: https://fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/nancy-guthrie

What makes you think they haven’t?

I don't typically post so I apologize in advance if this question has been asked and answered... Is anyone familiar with the type of vegetation the perp pulled out and whether or not it has any prickles on it? I ask because I'm curious if the gloves worn by the perp may have been punctured. Thank you.

Investigators keep going back to AGs house i would think bc that is the last known place she was alive.
....or they suspect a potential POI in that area.

Maybe Saturday nights are game/dinner nights for them, someone near their house could have known this and then went to NG's house later that night. Just a thought. IMO

Maybe the kidnapper gave them the information in exchange for the ransom or money promised if NG is returned to them.

So many - maybe this, and maybe that -
then a maybe-circumstance is given that is made up out of whole cloth . With no relation to any previous reality or actual information, not even is based on the facts or actual evidence.

No one can track a pacemaker. It doesn't ping off of anything. It's only job is to collect info from the heart and transmit to doctor. Transmitting device was left at her home.
How far away does a pacemaker need to be for it not to link to the phone?

Do we know for sure that they couldn't get that footage? IMO, there's a high likelihood they have other footage they haven't released.

And with all the prep/outfitting done, you would think it would have occurred to him to come prepared for the possibility of encountering a doorbell camera

Surveillance photo coming!
I saw the photos released this afternoon but just got a chance to watch this video. I had a WOW moment when I heard some of the comments about how the FBI was able to recover the images - especially "The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems." So maybe I wasn't too far off in my Friday post below. I am hoping that they have also been able to recover the images of the person whose movement was captured IN the home!!

Question about NG’s cameras -

It has been said that the doorbell camera was a Nest camera. Were the interior cameras also Nest cameras?

The timeline said -
“2:12 a.m. — The camera's software detects movement, but there is no video available since Guthrie did not have an active subscription with the company, meaning the footage was not saved.” (pbs.org)

Does anyone know if the camera company (i.e. Nest) can retrieve the video from this timeframe even if NG didn’t have a subscription? I can see that IF this is possible that the company may not want the general public to know this. I can also see where LE may also not want the public to know this - especially right now with this case.

It wasn’t a ring camera - it was a nest - a google nest - and google is the “tech” company that helped - make sense they could help with their own equipment. As for not finding her being dropped off - she entered via garage and nest camera on front door couldn’t see the garage door..
