I want the perp caught and convicted, but I also want it done properly. I'm trusting it is.

Barged in without a warrant...and even cuffed the son that was playing Nintendo who is not the subject of the investigation. Not good. If this is really the guy, it could hurt their case.
How do you know there was no warrant?

sorry, no. i went to school for journalism. the ethical thing to do would be to speak to her and not air it. i don't think he's being intentionally malicious, but he's been covering this case since the beginning and is probably tired. he should rest, but i don't like this at all.

not saying the guy detained isn't guilty, but we have literally no way to know what led them down this trail or what basis they're questioning him on. it's pretty irresponsible to air an interview with his family.
Not to mention that they can't have confirmed that the woman is actually the MIL of the detained person, or that the name she said is correct.

But in another interview on CNN she said "I don't know...Fed X." My thought is that he might work for a temp agency and works for multiple delivery companies.

Maybe he is the guy that had the Amazon uniform on caught trespassing that was posted by Pima Co Sherrif
Yes sorry I added to my previous post an ETA. It does sound like a 3rd party company that deals with multiple delivery companies.

*ETA from my earlier post: sorry she actually said he works in Tucson 'all week' delivering boxes for UPS and... he works for a company. You can call the company to see if he's working" something like that. So not directly working for UPS, but pehaps delivery in general.

Okay, seeing a lot of conversation and I'm not sure of best practices here... I recorded the Brian Entin interview with the (alleged) mother-in-law of the subject that was taken into custody earlier. Would it be okay for me to post it, or considering the potential ethical problems with it, should I just leave it unposted? Bit new here and I don't want to cause trouble, because the name is mentioned in full by the mother-in-law.

EDIT: Think I got my answer directly below, will avoid posting.

ADMIN NOTE:

Although the detained individual's MIL released his name, do not post it here and do not sleuth on him at this time.

Wait for info from LE to see what the status is.

IF this guy is innocent and totally unrelated to this case, it would be horrible to have all his information splashed over the internet.

Remember Sunil Tripathi who was wrongly accused of being one of the perpetrators of an April 15, 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathonhe. He committed suicide as a result.

Richard Jewel, hero to zero when wrongly accused in the Olympic Park bombing.

Please have patience and post responsibly.

Why do you think they don't have a warrant? It's typical to detain/secure anyone in the house for officer safety. This isn't crazy.
I thought I heard the mom say they didn't have one as well... but I could be wrong. Everything is moving so fast.

One of the legal folks said they can enter without warrant under certain circumstances when there is an abduction. LE often cuffs other occupants while they secure the scene then release them fairly quickly.

I find this interesting.

If they door dash, I wonder if they also pick up shifts as an Uber Driver?
Or, is it possible he could have delivered Door Dash to Nancy at her home on a prior occasion? (Just a thought. MOO … possible though maybe not probable.)

How certain is it that this man is actually involved and not just a case of mistaken identity or a person turned in by an angry Ex?
Angry exes rarely can give enough info relevant to a case so compelling that a judge or magistrate would sign a no knock warrant for a search that will take hours to complete. If this was a random tip, they wouldn't send SWAT.

Then his routes will be scrutinized if he is on a truck but he could be package sorter in warehouse, dispatcher, or any job…don’t jump to conclusions to put him in the frame.
The MIL said it, that he delivers, she said: "he works in Tucson all week' delivering boxes for UPS and... he works for a company. You can call the company to see if he's working" something like that.

So not directly working for UPS, but perhaps delivery in general.

It's also unclear, as far as I know, if the detained person is related to the abduction of NG or the ransom, if separate (or even if related, it's not clear if this person actually took NG). He could be an accomplice or committed a related crime ?

Would FBI lock profiles if they have all electronic devices?

It's MSM and it's fine to post. Members just have to discuss what the MIL is saying. It's fine to question or comment on what is contained in the interview, but no direct accusations until there is some more information so we know what we are dealing with.

CNN Live journo on scene in Rio Rico interviewing Mom-in-law of detained suspect and its her house being searched. Sounds like she is totally befuddled? But I believe she said that her SIL does delivery work "Fedex?" and travels to Tucson sometimes. Why is LE not interviewed her??

ETA last 2 sentences
Thinking back to the security camera footage of the neighbor in Nancy’s neighborhood who had a trespasser… was the trespasser wearing a FedEx uniform or something similar?
