I had a random Crime FB post pop up on my FB....it says there was a missing hiker as well as a missing elderly woman (not Nancy), missing in the area. The FB page was True Crime Online.
It was definitely a medical transport from a little south of where the person was detained to the trauma center in Tucson. I haven't seen a release from the hospital, sg or directly from the so that it wasn't NG so I'm not ruling it out yet.

Anyone else unable to sleep because the eerie doorbell cam footage is creeping them out?

The sheriff confirmed to a news anchor on a phone call that the helicopter was not in relation to this case it was linked in a post a couple of pages back.

On the premises in the hot sun with no toilet for 10 days? And no one would notice?
The obvious answer is that he either never had Nancy Guthrie in his posession, or had her in his posession for a very short time only.

I was thinking, deceased, not alive. I don’t know how far away the van is parked. She just gesture over to the right. Could be out in the middle of a field or something for all we know.

Ok, I haven't seen that direct link or press release...so if anyone local knows anything about a mva etc requiring lifeflight, as seen on a local source, yall inbox me so my theory doesn't clog the thread

Even if humans didn’t notice, carrion birds soon would call attention to the van.

Let you know in a few hours... it's only just 8pm Wed 2/11 here in New Zealand (and the way we write, I'd have put 11/2 ftr) ☺️

Seriously, package delivery people generally don't watch the Today Show.

hey, delivery people can watch all kinds of tv shows, make smart connections, be tech savvy, etc 😀 they could have a lack of formal education or might need to take any job just to get by, or plenty of other reasons

YES. It hasn't left my mind. ): Neither has Ms. Nancy.

I agree this has all gotten very sad on multiple levels. The worst being that NG has not been found. I agree it's time to log off for a bit...

I am confused as to why Briana Whitney is reporting SWAT is back in Tucson if they're still searching the home in Rio Rico, but maybe it's a different group.
I just don't think a package delivery person would think "Oh Savannah Guthrie"....I just don't. I would think Woody Guthrie or Arlo Guthrie. Seriously, package delivery people generally don't watch the Today Show. Now if their last name was like K................, sure they would take notice, but not Guthrie. Honestly, if I knew someone with the last night Guthrie, I wouldn't think of Savannah. I wouldn't think of anything.......It's a common name.
I agree with this.... IF... a person is a package delivery guy rather than a guy who follows package delivery guys to steal the packages they leave. Phoenix was bad for that. And they often case houses while they're at it. Turn the door knobs just to see if residents lock up. And check under door mats and such for keys. And note security cams. And exterior electrical boxes. And look up the names on the delivery boxes. A guy's gotta make a living some way, ya know? Pretty sure some of their families think they work delivering packages, for some company or another, not really sure who though. Probably dont research to verify that either.

I am pretty skeptical this is the guy. I mean, he sounds like he works a regular job delivering packages during the week....albeit in Tuscon, and is home every Fri night thru Monday morning. Also lives with what seems to be a large family including his kids. How would be possibly kidnap someone and hope to keep that hidden from his family while also working a job Mon-Fri?

Seems odd. The only thing that could give him a connection to NG is if delivered packages to her during the week. Otherwise I am thinking, if he is connected, it is him trying to scam the family with the ransom demands.
I wondered if the guy delivers for OnTrac, because they frequently used unmarked white vans (that can look suspicious)? An unmarked white van had been reported in NG's neighborhood around the week prior to the crime, is this how he was identified as interest?

But I also will be surprised if he's in any way connected.

A few points of note (without me injecting my conclusions)

Crypto ransoms take a high degree of skill to pull off. POI would need to understand how to cold store BTC. Not on a hot wallet like Ledger. True cold storage takes sophistication and years of planning (storing keys and sleepy wallets with NO prior transactions). After the ransom is paid, POI would then need to use a crypto mixer like Monero or similar to breakdown the BTC, send it to hundreds of wallets, wash the hashes in thousands of transactions and then recollect the BTC once its been washed. After all that, they’d need a laundering scheme to convert the cleaned crypto into fiat. This person(s) would NOT send notes to the media. They understand anonymity and would avoid hot contact (I.e internet contact)

If you’re confused, you’re not the culprit. That gives a sense for the kind of person or persons skilled enough to pull off a crypto ransom. And that says nothing of the skill to kidnap someone. Those are two very different skill sets that rarely occur in one person.
Thank you. I’ve been thinking this but needed someone sharper who understands to put it in words. A crime like this takes sophistication at some point or by one of the players. IMHO.

Also, the MIL said the van broke down this past Friday. As in 5 days ago. So the SIL was, at minimum, keeping up appearances that he was delivering packages for the entire first work week she was missing. Wouldn’t make any sense if she was in the van.

I've heard countless law enforcement say "there are no coincidences" so... we'll see!

The Today Show??? I don't even know who's on it anymore. Last I remember it was Kathie Lee and Hoda.

I learned from here it was Savannah.

I just don't think guys get into that......

Apparently Google worked with LE to extract the videos from NG's laptop or smartphone.

I contacted Tucson Crime Stoppers-like phone number on the 3rd to inform them the camera images should not be that difficult to extract.

For example, I have a $39.00 Ezviz camera I bought on Amazon 10 years ago.

All I need to do (even with no camera connected) is power up my Windows 10 or 11 laptop (I have both) and go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ezviz Studio\MessageImage

There I will find recent 'protected' .JPG images (100s of them).

Then use the Ezviz app on my laptop to access the files - because the .JPG files cannot be opened by just any app. They're protected.

Not sure why it took a week. In fairness, the app for the doorbell camera may have been password protected.

But congrats for finally getting the job done.

Ezviz cameras have local SD storage. Nest cameras do not.
