I wish I thought they were playing 3D chess but they picked up a random guy last night and let him go within hours. They don’t seem to have a clue or a direction.

Someone at the FBI should be able to point people at things that make sense. They should say that it’s hard to identify facial features because of mask but let’s try to find someone who has a full face mask in Arizona, this jacket looks like X, this backpack looks like Y, etc.

I don’t see how pointing the public in the right directions hurts in any way and the lack of public comment on this just welcomes every random person saying he looks like my ex, cousin, coworker, etc.

I feel that your post ignores...... me, the regular type guy- and I feel left out of your analysis.

I am male, in the same age bracket that you describe. I am not attracted to teenagers of any sort ala Jodi Foster.
But... I do find two 55 year old, married mothers in my broader social circle to be well.... attractive in both appearance and personality.

As the women in question are married, I do not act on what for me is a mild, natural attraction in any way. Rather, my only contact with the women is in the presence of their husbands at social functions.

But..... not all males have that inhibition. What could be a mild natural attraction for some males that is never acted on, can turn into a stronger attraction for other males who are willing to act on it (usually by trying to cross the line between a social friendship into a romantic interest). Other men, however, can get obsessed.

In the end, any natural attraction has the potential to turn into an obsession. That can go double if the natural attraction is centered on a woman, who while 55, appears to be many years younger. Then, factor in the poise and personality of a national television host.

Ordinarily I would disagree and I wouldn't have paid the initial ransom either, but...now with the way things are going...

With regards to the cameras, it's weird. The suspect walks up to the house hunched over, deliberately hiding his face, indicating he knows a camera is present. However he then straightens up, looks directly at it, thinks "oh, " and realizes he's potentially being recorded, after which he grabs the brush to cover the lense. So on one hand, he's prepared but on the other, he isn't.

None of this makes sense.

I mean, it's entirely possible that he's watched one too many crime movies and figured the glaring light from the flashlight in his mouth would completely obstruct his face. I've seen scenes like this in movies where they shine a bright light directly into a security camera, or (my personal favorite) bring along a can of spray paint to cover the camera lens with.

The demand for the single bitcoin is not from the original ransom writer, nor does it claim to be. This person claims to be an associate of the person who kidnapped Nancy. They are offering to divulge the name of the kidnapper in exchange for 1 bitcoin ($66k). Likely a hoax, IMO. There's already a $50,000 reward. See the TMZ article posted upthread for details.

Ok maybe some do I accept that - I promise you many don't - which means it is possible but not definite she had one, it is also possible she had alot of things in her house but we have no way to know that she used anything other than a cane.

My great grandmother weighed about 150lbs. She was partially mobile and it took a man and a woman to get her up and around. Old people weight seems very heavy for some reason because they aren't helping out with their muscles. More like dead weight, if that makes sense. I could see it being even harder to do if she fell, was bleeding, etc.

Same with my elderly mother when she became immobile. Very small and not overweight, yet took 2 men to transfer her from bed to wheelchair.
