AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

That looks like it was tossed no more than a few hours ago! I'm sorry....A glove that has been out for 10 days won't look like that!

Heck it's still in the shape of the hand it was on!

Maybe the desert preserves things like that, but they also have dirt and pollen in the desert. They also have gravity. As in: A glove will lose the shape of the hand it was in fairly quickly after it is removed.
Dang what if someone just planted coworker they hate DNA on it and threw it out after seeing on news??

I always reach for flowers when I can't get a grip. Seriously though, black latex/nitrile gloves are pretty grippy - even if worn over another pair. Hard for me to understand it.

Hope they get him alive so we can find out.
His glove on the right hand was enormous, looked like a boxing glove. What else was he going to use to gain a better grip?

Seriously some of you are absolutely unhinged, can't do your own research or just completely stupid.

Iranian sleeper cells?
Cartels?

Should have to pass a test to post here.

Jesus wept.
I think the best thing we can do is throw in our opinions as to why those theories are, in my opinion, most likely not the most probable cause and go from there.

But he pushes it several times like you would if you rang the doorbell. Just a thought that stuck out to me.
My thinking is if he actually rang the bell then that also would have been part of the timeline, like when they indicated that another camera detected motion a short time later.

@UsernameRequired ; thanks for the video link !

Keep thinking LE had more to go on than just his mother in law thinking his eyes looked like the person in the security footage ?

Sounds like he's in the clear and maybe his MIL needs to apologize to him and not so much LE who were following up & only doing their job ?
Jmo.
No, his MIL was telling the reporter that the FBI or someone had told her that her son-in-law's eyes looked like the guy they were after. MIL is not the one who ever said that, she said the photo of the suspect did not look like her SIL at all. She wanted to show a photo of her SIL to the reporter (because he was being interviewed by investigators at the moment and not doing camera interviews yet), but couldn't because the FBI had taken her phone. She also said the FBI had gotten a tip that Nancy was in her house. She was clearly upset and was like they can look anywhere, we don't have anything to hide.

Yes this could be the case with service providers, repairmen, delivery people who assemble furniture, etc. They come into the house, see the pictures of NG with her daughter. They get ideas about making some big money.
Or don't even see SG but see an older woman, lives alone who appears well off...which is an easier mark I think at this point someone who did work at the house or provided services is a sensical avenue - it is someone familiar, with access and knowledge. imo

Maybe he does not work or deliver alone.
When they pulled him over he was doing Uber eats deliveries with his wife and kids in the car.

His mother said that he was working in Tuscon all week doing deliveries (he said he works for GLS, a UPS type company)

per NY Post stories.

We've had decades of domestic terrorism risk from white nationalists and neo-nazis. If you want to examine the terrorism angle, you can add them to the list too.

Every time I find a single black glove out on a walk, you know the case that I always think of… I feel like it’s somewhat common unless they can see it looks like one the doorbell person was wearing. These gloves don’t look they would drop easily unless person trying to quickly put them in a bag? The media is grasping at any straw for drama and ratings. Still wish they would give LE more slack instead if pouncing at every crumb. Jmo

If the glove was found on the right hand shoulder of the road it would be quite a toss from the drivers side.Easier from the passenger side.

What about a motorbike driver? What if the glove-thrower was a passenger (i.e. accomplice) in the car?

Bbm.
Yes ! Thanks for bringing that up, thought I'd read it before and then couldn't find it.
Mark Kelly ?
Jim Kelly ?
I'll try to find it.... brb.
Imo.
Mark Kelly. He doesn't run FBI though but he may have some contacts that could help retired etc.

I’m not piling on . I think you’re doing fine. I do agree with OP that we don’t need any confusion on such a fast moving thread. I’ve NEVER seen one move this fast. Maybe say “ I’m just speculating “ in your posts . We ALL speculate and throw out theories on here.
We who have been here longer should be using shorthand for that so newer users will see it and pick it up. I think some of us have forgotten to do that due to the speed of the thread. ( MOO )
Examples:

IMO =. In my opinion
JMO = Just my Opinion
IMHO = In my honest opinion
MOO = My Own Opinion.

Hope this helps! I remember when new members would ask “ why is everyone Moo-ing ? “. Lol ;)
Thank you for the shorthand.

I agree the glove is going to be a nothing burger. It certainly doesn't look like it's been baking in desert sun for the past ten days.

Is it possible he reached for something else to handle the camera with because he was concerned that hand had DNA evidence that could transfer? Given the holster, it seems that he was left-handed so anything he did or touched with his left hand would be more likely to transfer DNA. MOO.

I apologize if this has already been brought up — I’ve been trying to keep up, but had to tend to a lot of my “real life” stuff today.

Has it been discussed that the video guy may have expected the camera to already be gone/taken care of? If he’s not the “mastermind” of the crime, and was told what to expect when he got there, but then found it not as expected?

I read over the last few pages, but otherwise haven’t seen any of today’s discussion. I hate being that person, if it’s been discussed at length and I’m cluttering up the thread!

That glove is an excellent shape for sitting in the desert sun for 10 days. It still maintains the shape of the hand that discarded it! I see no pollen or dirt on the thing.

I feel bad for the person who discarded it! (Unless of course, it's the perp) But I sense a false arrest on the horizon.

BBM - above

The best illustration ever for not being a litterbug: getting caught up in the net of one of the biggest crime stories in recent memory.

Looks like it is pointing in a “this way” gesture. Imo
