Just got off the phone with the FBI...here is a Nancy Guthrie status update as of Weds afternoon:

-Despite Bitcoin deadlines passing days ago in original ransom note, it has not been ruled in or out as legitimate and still part of overall investigation

-They are still operating off Kash Patel's latest statement that there are "persons of interest" aka more than one

-They are following up on "tons of leads"

-will not comment on Carlos Palazuelos detainment/release

Most likely already brought up. But I put the picture up of the door and watched the video several times. Looks like he definitely pushed the doorbell three times while covering the camera with his glove. Why ring the bell if it was planned. I've all along thought the BIL but he would have a key I am sure. Such a puzzling case.
I actually don’t think he was pushing the bell. I think he was trying to gauge how securely the doorbell was attached to the house.

When he realized it could not be quickly lifted away he went and got the plant to cover the lens.

Seriously some of you are absolutely unhinged, can't do your own research or just completely stupid.

Iranian sleeper cells?
Cartels?

Should have to pass a test to post here.

Jesus wept.

Interesting. I wonder if someone actually delivered something large to the house recently and even assembled it. Like furniture. They may have seen photos of Nancy with Savannah. Maybe recognized SG and asked NG about it who proudly told him she is her mom. That may have given the delivery guy ideas for a kidnapping for ransom. JMO.
Yes this could be the case with service providers, repairmen, delivery people who assemble furniture, etc. They come into the house, see the pictures of NG with her daughter. They get ideas about making some big money.

Moo...just cause, my mom is 88 bad knees...she should use a walker but no, she drives fine, but no nite drive.
What was the point of taking the woman? Any legal problems with any of the family? Journalists do have big egos, it is a necessary for the work they do . But egos are fragile.. if it is not about money...what is it about?
Good points.
Still wondering if someone was upset with Nancy and all they wanted was for her to be gone permanently.
Just seems so difficult to fathom, IF that was all.
Omo.

100% i do not believe this was random at all, whether burglary or kidnapping. It was preplanned and they knew who they were after. If a robbery, why take her from her home? She doesn’t know who they are with the masks etc. Kidnapping, the $, it’s more often than not. I still believe the SIL is involved, how exactly, I’m not sure. Could be in hiring someone to help with the kidnapping, set up ransom, etc., was he there that night? Yes, I believe so, not sure what his part was exactly (maybe he gave Latana flower guy details about the home/cameras etc), as an example, but not sure what his part is exactly. The date and time were known ahead of time to commit this and others were involved to help with it. I don’t have anything to prove this theory. MOO
I'm curious why you think TC is involved?

IMO he was using the plants as a grip to get the nest Camera off. He was wearing stupidly bulky gloves so looks to me that he couldn't get a grip the first time. Aren't they sticky too?
IMO…if the plant picking was for gripping purposes he’s not a numb skull. Unprepared but not unskillful. Weird

If you could ask LE/FBI any question about this case and receive an answer,
What would you ask?
I'd like to know what the ransom note said or what the house looked like inside.
Why do you keep taking evidence from AG'S?

But he pushes it several times like you would if you rang the doorbell. Just a thought that stuck out to me.

The FBI are probably collecting her mail until NG found due to ransom letters being sent in. Nothing much to this imo.
I’m a bit surprised they aren’t watching the mail like a hawk, daily, if they thought this was a possibility.

Sorry if this has been discussed before (man this board moves fast!!!!) but is it a fact that Nancy got home safely after game night, aside from Thomasco saying he drove her? I'm just trying to understand why law enforcement continues to search Annie's house since the crime is said to have taken place at Nancy's house. Doesn't make sense to me.
We really don't have any definitive proof that NG made it safely home. We're just going by what we've been told. Who knows anymore? I sure don't.

Bring up a picture of the front door. The door bell is to the right. Watch the video at the same time and he is pushing in to something right where the doorbell is located. The camera is a little above and he is covering that with his glove.
I did look at what I could find of the front door and watched the video and I don't see the door bell or the movement you're referring to. Not saying your wrong! But if you're able to share a photo pointing that out may be helpful. No worries if not

Wondering if anyone can think of a case where hiring a private investigator helped more than it added to the confusion.
I really can't think of any off the top of my head.
I don't think they have a choice at this point they need to get someone else in - and with SG's connections potentially she can get someone who was recently in FBI who still has contacts that can tell them what is really going on and then go from there. My understanding is there was alot of turnover with senior FBI/CIA etc who likely would be an asset to the family. I mean unfortunately I would presume the worst, but if there is any chance at all.. they have to do something different b/c this doesn't appear to be working imo

Neoprene gloves are pretty grippy on their own. The juices from a soft plant would only make it more slippery.

Completely agree! They clearly have no idea where she is... why not try the simplest grid searches ANYWHERE they reasonably suspect she could be. Main priority.

The only thing I can think of otherwise is that they DO have proof of life and that's been ongoing. But I am highly skeptical that's the case (despite SG's video Monday... now two days ago).
I think their searches today along nearby roads going up into nearby hills, is the right idea.
Also nearby desert dirt roads.
They found a mask, 5+ miles away, gloves 1 mile away.
Any idea if these are related?
Sorry if already discussed.

If this glove is in fact from the abduction would you really be able to extract actionable DNA from a black glove that has been sitting under the desert sun for over 10 days?
That glove is an excellent shape for sitting in the desert sun for 10 days. It still maintains the shape of the hand that discarded it! I see no pollen or dirt on the thing.

I feel bad for the person who discarded it! (Unless of course, it's the perp) But I sense a false arrest on the horizon.
