IMO it's because of the circumstances surrounding the case and not necessarily due to media coverage.

I suspect the media coverage helped put pressure to have this more prioritized and looking into certain avenues that may not have been explored for someone else.

That crime scene on that porch is contaminated from so many people walking up there, they're gonna have to go through all the DNA from everybody's shoes that walked up there.This is really shoddy.Work should have been done right when they found that blood.

I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen any photos or footage of those blood droplets being photographed or designated with evidence markers. IMO. We have been told that the blood droplets were tested and that they belonged to Nancy, but maybe no news camera captured the collection of this evidence. I would assume that LE would have photographed these blood droplets, measured how far apart they were, etc.

Also, I’ve been trying to find the exact photo and I believe TMZ deleted it or swapped it out with something else….but on the day that the video footage of Nancy’s kidnapper at her front door was released, they posted a still shot of what looked like the kidnapper with his arm around Nancy. I remember it looked like she was wearing a robe.

I’ve been scouring Google and the TMZ site to find it, but I can’t. I just remember that when you went to the homepage and looked at the original announcement of the video of the kidnapper, there were two still screenshot side-by-side, and the one on the right was the one that looked like Nancy from an side view/slight aerial view.

Ok yea then the footage from that burglary should have already been reviewed/requested. However imo they may not have b/c LE tends to focus on family or last seen with and not expend resources on other areas that they deem to be less likely - from the outset JMO. However I think it became clear pretty quickly this was unusual and now it seems they are looking into this which is a bit of a delay imo.

It looked like he was likely wearing multiple pairs of gloves. I suppose DNA is possible?

I doubt it, gloves left out in the environment (especially the sun) deteriorate as does the DNA.

The slouchy lazy demeanor of the perp on cam reminds me of a teenager being told to do something and he is doing the bare minimum. Probably too lazy to remove backpack to put tape over the camera. when he grabs the plant he looks to his left to see if anyone is watching. Maybe he realized how dumb that was and didn’t want the accomplices noticing. He also touched his gun to make sure it didn’t fall out after he bent over. I bet he dropped it multiple times in the past and wears it in the front so he does not lose it.

Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code is so strict—requiring specific shielding angles and total lumen caps—that many residents find it easier to just leave the lights off rather than risk a fine. Likely, the only people you will encounter outside after dark are criminals! Government restrictions seem too rigid there. I am sure it's not imperative the stargazers get to stargaze EVERY night. A better idea might be to give them a few days a week of dark skies instead of 24x7.

Not true at all. I’m in the area and have multiple porch lights on every night and the majority of my neighbors do too. I have never heard of anyone getting fined for lights against the lighting ordinance, it’s more of a technicality when building than anything.

I think they may be picturing an ad or something that had the images which they saw at a glance and then their mind filled in other details...jmo I think it happens when we see something quickly and our subconscious fills in details for us..moo

For example, there were details in the notes that only someone at the scene would know? Is it possible the break-in and abduction is its' own crime and the ransom is overseas scammers looking for a quick score?

I am obviously overtired because it took me several minutes to remember who DE is. I found the picture you're talking about. Today, his face is softer where his skin has lost elasticity and his bear is thin and mostly gray. His eye lids have also lost their elasticity and are a bit saggy. I wish we knew how that would look in the dark on the ring cam. MOO

ok if that is true this should have been done at their initial sweep they did when they came to town and if not then on the next search when it was reported other cameras may have been found on the roof.
