Couple thoughts about the pacemaker:

1. If it was just a random perp, they wouldn't even know NG had a pacemaker (unless she said something).

2. Up until everything disconnected, LE should have a record of her health/activity from her phone/watch/pacemaker. Not sure how much info is transmitted, but couldn't LE see if she was up moving around and/or if her heart rate spiked, etc.? If I saw that perp in my house in the middle of the night, I'm pretty sure my heart rate would go through the roof.

I don’t think it was a robbery, JMO.
I think the bag was full because of rope, gag, body bag, to get her out of the house more easily.
I’ve moved away from the ransom/ kidnapper theory. I think the ransom people were just opportunists. No proof of life, etc.
I think, someone wanted her gone, ( dead, sorry) but why?
If it really is a ransom abduction, they’ve gone about it all wrong.

Everyone knows you need to offer proof of life. That’s Ransom 101. As risky as that might be for the abductor, it’s a necessary part of getting the money.

On one hand, they apparently have insider knowledge. On the other, they’re giving bluffing vibes.

Has anyone ever paid such sums without proof of life?

When my friend went missing, some scammers contacted her boyfriend saying they’d abducted her and wanted money. Even they knew to send a photo.

This case is giving me LS vibes. I hope they are looking at people trying to insert themselves into the investigation. This perpetrator thinks he's smarter than everyone just like she did.

You can buy Ozark Trail backpacks at Walmart and Amazon, so almost impossible to track down, BUT I would ask the Walmart on Speedway Blvd in Tucson for all Ozark Backpack purchases in the last 6 months.
Not that it's a critical point, and it doesn't narrow down the search that much, but Ozark Trail is a Walmart private label, so I don't think you'll find it on Amazon unless someone is re-selling.

Source, Ozark Trail is a registered trademark of Walmart (my screenshot from uspto.gov):

I still do believe that she is hidden or buried (sorry to say) somewhere near her property. I'm sure they have used sniffer dogs before around her place. Maybe they should bring them back. I think the ransom notes are just from opportunist people.
SMH
I feel the same. I'm still waiting for them to search everyone of those tanks (septic, water, etc) around her home.

There is only one problem with that. Nancy's blood is not yet on the front porch in the doorbell nest camera footage taken at 2:12 a.m.
Wasn’t the last camera footage at the front door recorded at 2:12 am? If not, what time was the blood dropped there? I am wondering because @RedHaus made me think of myself. Last year my skin became real thin and if i bumped my forearms or hands for any reason, I bled a LOT. My doctor called it solar purpora. It is form age and having a lot of sun exposure. I don’t take blood thinners but it is possible Nancy did. So if she did bump her hands or tried to defend herself, she likely bled very easily and a lot more than I did. And it doesn’t just dry up quickly. You have to bandage it very well. I hate to think of that.

The problem is with AI you can fake proof of life. And with sophisticated digital forensics, they can track it back to the generator. I am not sure a fool proof way to show evidence of life without doxing the kidnappers exists today.

Edited to correct, it doesnt say when the gloves were found in the home, the article was posted today.

NBC (posted today) says these were found in the home:

Posted by NBC news today at 2:15pm EST

Gloves found at Guthrie's house are being sent out for testing, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a statement this afternoon.
The department said "several items of evidence" were found at the residence, but provided no details beyond the gloves.
The news comes after multiple reports that a nylon glove was found at the home.

from Gloves found at Guthrie residence, sheriff’s department says

So far, I have not been able to find any article from today or yesterday other than the NBC one that states the gloves were found IN or AT the house. So, IMHO, take the NBC article with a grain of salt.

I honestly believe Nancy died from the fright of being awoken by a masked intruder, prehaps he woke her to open a safe or to see if there was one

He could have been creeping the home first and couldn't find it so decided to awaken a vulnerable elderly lady

A robber can be so light footed that often times people don't realise their homes have been ransacked until they wake to the mess . It depends how deeply you sleep imo

The reason she was not left on the premises is because prehaps he placed a hand over her mouth as he woke her and if she struggled being on blood thinners she may have bled from her gums or nose from force

The sheriff did say the home was evidently left in a way that was disturbed, this prehaps ties in with a home rifled through looking for something.

If she died in the home of a heart attack and the perp touched her or was in close proximity shouting at her he may have been worried about dna transfer so moved her so as not to implicate himself in a homicide

He may have no problem due to morals serving time for breaking and entering and stealing but may have taken umbrage to serving life without parole so hid her

The ransom demand may or may not be the same perp but likely one of the ransom notes may be if a description was given of things only a perp would know , prehaps it was demanded as a deflection rather than a want to extort

I really hope Nancy is found so her family can grieve and gain closure in the future
I keep going back to the information that there were cameras INSIDE the home that FBI has...if that's true, wouldn't they possibly know a lot more about who was in the home during that time?...and are just not releasing it yet?

LE does not want theories, that is mostly what we do here at WS!

Follow evidence, come up with motive, and more!

I think they do have someone reading WS and Reddit, looking for “Papa Rodgers” type posts.

JMO
I do feel a few of us could have arrived on scene and pointed out evidence and places to search had we been there. What would our unit be called?

Link to a trustworthy article that says there were cameras inside the house?

I'm skeptical that the backpack will help find him. Unless he's stupid and bought one a week ago at a local store.

I think they do. I think there was more than one person involved and Lantana Man was the weak link. The real muscle went in the back and subdued Nancy. My speculation is they're releasing the footage of the guy at the front hoping he'll panic, blab to someone and get the ball rolling.

Does the backpack match the one in the video 5 miles away that just came out?

Has there been any mention of whether she had any work done at her house in the last few weeks? Lawncare, pool service, housekeepers, plumbers, electricians, roofers, grocery delivers, trash pickup service, food delivery? Any service people at all?
