Possible kickbacks from the lab? Sheriff Nanos was investigated by the FBI back in 2016 for misuse of over $200,000 in seized funds.

FBI investigating Rico funds and then a suicide? Crazy!

So the current description is a male suspect approximately 5'9" - 5"10" tall, with an average build.

But what kind of male suspect are they looking for?

Are they looking for a white male? A black male? A hispanic male? A middle eastern male? A oriental male?

What kind of a male suspect does the public needs to be on the lookout for?
Oriental as an ethnic description of a human being is widely considered antiquated, inappropriate and offensive, if not an explicitly racist term when used to describe people of Asian descent. Please edit if you can to as not offend.

So do these new articles confirm a glove was found inside NG's house by local LE as they searched the house?
That seems to be the implication, and I really hope it’s true.

We have to take all reporting with a grain of salt though, as these are law enforcement sources and not direct from law enforcement.

Something could be lost in translation.

I’d like to know more about this before jumping to conclusions. According to the Reuters article, the county already spent a bunch of money doing DNA tests through this lab. This implies the lab already has comparative samples and reference samples, and it’s unclear if FBI has any of this. It may simply be far more expedient to use the contract lab at this point. Lot of pot-stirring going on lately.

This is what I'm thinking. Also if glove found INSIDE the house, that means day 1. Was FBI even involved day 1 (I'm late to this case) if so they probably just sent it to the lab they commonly work with.

- now if it's the gloves supposedly found yesterday...that's more concerning.

Also for someone to leak this shows there's a lot of big egos with hurt feelings in that room. Never good for an investigation.

This has really been a mess. From opening the crime scene immediately to the revelation about the glove being sent to Florida. I honestly just hope he lets the FBI take over. It’s too fragmented and too many things are falling through the cracks right now.

I just hope Nancy will be found soon. That’s the only important thing.

I live in the Tucson area and have personal experience with Nanos and his staff. Between the PCSD deputies harassing people in poor areas, not responding to urgent calls, etc. I am not surprised that things are going this way. One day, my spouse and I were driving home and encountered an elderly man (75-80ish) and his dog being gruesomely attacked by two pitbulls. By the time we arrived, the man and his dog were on the ground, the man's clothing partially torn off and blood was everywhere. My husband jumped out of the car and tried to help while I called 911. Needless to say, Pima County Sheriffs office "declined" the call and said they would not come for a dog attack and then transferred me to the fire department - which also declined the call. I begged for anyone to come or to send an ambulance - but they refused. A second incident happened when a neighbor's home was being broken into and we called PCSD and they also refused to come unless someone was home at the neighbor's and injured. After those two incidents, I realized they were not there to help average citizens and had their own agenda.
I won't continue this line of thought, however I have experience working at the jail and there's been a lot of heat on PCSD for the conditions they allow, especially with regards to medical care. That is all I will say. I don't want to derail the thread further but there is a local indie paper that covers much of what I have seen. I guess all I can say is IMO since I Don't want to go fuirther

Well, if they ever do come up with a suspect I hope the glove fits.

Has it been reported they removed her pacemaker?
No, it was another poster's theory. If it had been reported that the pacemaker was removed that probably would have been pretty big news.

FBI reportedly blocked from accessing key evidence in Guthrie case

IMO, It's probably a combination of egos and stupidity. Each side wants full control, instead of working together they would rather hurt the investigation.
I would hope that no one has consciously thought they would rather Nancy never be found than let the other side have a win, but I can believe that the two groups have gotten "sideways" to the point where that ends up being where we are. If the Sheriff answers to anyone besides the voters, such as city council, mayor, etc., it is probably past time for them to have a little chat with Nanos.

I wonder if the sheriff thinks someone from the FBI is leaking info
I was wondering about that. The AB leak about the SIL being ‘a likely prime suspect’ came to mind. AB said she’d known the ‘impeccable’ source for a decade and the person was a high-level LE official.

Bingo! Inheritance, fraud or to cover up another crime.
Occam’s razor.

At this time, I think it’s to cover up another crime, seems most likely. Remove person who might snitch (NG). I am very open to changing my mind.

JMO

That’s not Occam’s Razor… that’s Occam’s Soap Opera.
Way too many assumptions.

And yet we still have ZERO PROOF that NG ever made it home from AG and SIL house. Until that's conclusively proven they will remain under suspicion.
So, her belongings being found in the house -- her pacemaker disconnecting, apparently from there -- the opening and closing of her garage door -- and most conclusively, her blood appearing on the front steps only after a masked man disabled the doorbell camera in the wee hours of the morning -- isn't evidence enough?

I mean, it's possible to suspect SIL even if you think she did get home from their house. But I think Occam's razor would say that she did get home. Your mileage may vary.

Sheriff appears to be a territorial individual that does not play well with others. IMO
First time I listened to this guy I got Charles Moose (DC sniper Sheriff) vibes.

But there is a ton of evidence she made it home. Her hearing aids were there, her phone was there, which she would have needed to take the uber, her pacemaker, lodged in her chest disconnected from that phone as she was removed from the home. And her phone, now in police custody has no doubt corroborated this.

Sure it’s possible her daughter and SIL ripped her pacemaker out, knowing it would give them away, but does that really make sense?

Here’s the Reuters report. Prepare to be enraged:

Thanks for posting this, @MassGuy... It is staggering. Do you think the Sheriff will have to step down, or be removed from the case?
