What is interesting is they have raised the reward to $100,000. Significantly more than the 1 Bitcoin the most recent ransom request asks for. If they really had info, you would think they would take the $100k instead.

I figured maybe they are illegal but want to remain in US, hence not taking official route. That's if they even know...

no, this was live ... watched them walk up, place flowers, pray in a group, took pictures of one another and then this .... there are days I really do NOT like people :(
Oh how disappointing people can be :(

Also Thursday, NewsNation obtained surveillance video that seems to show someone carrying and wearing backpacks similar to those seen in the surveillance videos from Guthrie’s home, attempting to climb over a wall in Tucson at 1:52 a.m., which was minutes after Guthrie’s Nest camera disconnected at 1:47 a.m. and about 20 minutes before the system later detected a person at 2:12 a.m.

The Ring camera video recorded about five miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home is now on the FBI’s radar, with investigators examining its timing in relation to Guthrie’s disappearance
This person has been cleared.

This is what I'm thinking. Also if glove found INSIDE the house, that means day 1. Was FBI even involved day 1 (I'm late to this case) if so they probably just sent it to the lab they commonly work with.

- now if it's the gloves supposedly found yesterday...that's more concerning.

Also for someone to leak this shows there's a lot of big egos with hurt feelings in that room. Never good for an investigation.
Something else that has occurred to me is that if the sheriff has been receiving reports from the same place, he and his people are accustomed to the format the information is presented in.

It's possible they can sift through the information easier when it's a format they're accustomed to working with.

I personally know how frustrating it can be to move between various DNA sites as each one has it's own way. One I like much better than the other, I use it more, because or so it is easier and faster for me to understand new information.

Why is this even a point of discussion? There is absolutely no reason to suspect anything close to this happened. I think it’s more likely that a javelina kidnapped her than someone randomly excising a pacemaker for unknown reasons.

JMO
Exactly!!!! I really wish we could put this one point of discussion to bed unless/until new evidence is revealed in this regard.

Why not? He is of similar height and build, the ski mask meets the collar so its impossible to see a beard or lack of one. There is clearly some facial hair around the mouth area and its a Caucasian or light-skinned male. Not to mention the possible tattoo on the right wrist is similar to one that is being discussed on other sites as belonging to the SIL.

Physical appearance aside. Nest cam action. End of.

OK does anyone else think it's not a "black" backpack ? the shoulder straps are two toned..right?
black backpacks have black shoulder straps.. I know FBI says black or news said that...so not sure now..

I’m glad the backpack has been identified, but I feel like the holster and its placement are far more important. I have never seen a holster or anyone carry a gun like that before.
agreed. pretty precarious pistol placement...IMO. i know more than i want to about guns and that's about the dumbest/most careless/dangerous holster position i've ever seen. unless this guy craves risk, this is nuckin' futs.

Posters should be reminded to use the MOO or other options when stating their opinions only. Otherwise after all this is said and done, posts could be brought up as slander of a person and brought into a lawsuit. MOO
Slander is verbal and spoken in person, on a site like this it would be Libel and it rarely if ever is brought up.

I live in the Tucson area and have personal experience with Nanos and his staff. Between the PCSD deputies harassing people in poor areas, not responding to urgent calls, etc. I am not surprised that things are going this way. One day, my spouse and I were driving home and encountered an elderly man (75-80ish) and his dog being gruesomely attacked by two pitbulls. By the time we arrived, the man and his dog were on the ground, the man's clothing partially torn off and blood was everywhere. My husband jumped out of the car and tried to help while I called 911. Needless to say, Pima County Sheriffs office "declined" the call and said they would not come for a dog attack and then transferred me to the fire department - which also declined the call. I begged for anyone to come or to send an ambulance - but they refused. A second incident happened when a neighbor's home was being broken into and we called PCSD and they also refused to come unless someone was home at the neighbor's and injured. After those two incidents, I realized they were not there to help average citizens and had their own agenda.
Was it the dispatcher who declined to send assistance?
The sheriff is an elected position and all I know is that this is Nano's 2nd term, he won the 2024 election by about 500 votes and IIRC: about 500,000 votes were cast.
When did the 2 incidents happen and did you contact anyone to file a complaint?

IR cameras do very odd things with colors, particularly fabrics and textures.

I was very skeptical at first, but I'm starting to open up to the possibility that SG could have been the main target somehow:

The worst thing to ever happen to Savannah Guthrie, it seems, is the best thing to ever happen to her colleagues at NBC.

Whispers already abound among these morning show vipers — who may be seeding an outcome they'd welcome — that Savannah may never come back to the Today show. On-air talent is already taking meetings with execs, jockeying for Savannah's chair, to take over her position as star of the show.

I'm shocked the suspect left a glove INSIDE the home! That's pretty stupid.

A lot being said about the possible 'bite light' in lantana mans mouth and so I wanted to post up a run down of the most likely people to have such a light handy.

Common user profiles include:
Pilots (especially general aviation and night flyers) — They use models like the Flight Gear Bite Light with white light for pre/post-flight checks and red light to preserve night vision in the cockpit.

Theater technicians, lighting crew, stagehands, and wardrobe personnel — In tech theater and backstage work, bite lights (often called "bitelites") are popular for climbing ladders, focusing lights, quick changes in dark wings, or when carrying gear.
Mechanics, auto technicians, or anyone working under vehicles/dashboards — Hands are occupied with tools, so mouth-held light helps see tight spaces.

Performers or quick-change artists (sometimes in drag, costume, or low-light creative work) — Soft, teeth-friendly versions exist for hands-free illumination during fast changes or detailed work.

Jewellers and Crafting Hobbyists — Anyone who works regularly with crafts that require both hands to be free during intricate work.

DIYers, electricians, plumbers, or home repair folks — Anyone who's ever held a regular flashlight in their mouth under a sink or in an attic ends up appreciating a purpose-built bite version.

Outdoor/night workers — Like some night fishing setups (though "bite light" there more often means bite indicators/alarms), or cavers/explorers who prefer mouth-held options over headlamps in tight spots.
I had Googled for something similar…maybe a coworker will recognize the perp based upon the bite light??

What does it matter if both labs are just as good? Why is the FBI leaking to the news their grievances unless they too are lost and want to finger-point.
I think it is a sign perhaps that the investigation has stalled and they have nothing? Or they are beginning to realize they have screwed up and wasted a great deal of time doing nothing productive?

Right! If they just found the glove yesterday, it could have been left by any of the investigators who collected evidence before…🤪

It seems pretty sloppy for a criminal to wear a mask, full covered suit, gloves, and then to leave a glove behind. It’s also, certainly possible, though.

Time will tell.

This is why they blacked out the front of the house today. They recreated the view of the camera with the items they believe the abductor was wearing.

Like that backpack.
