DOUBTFUL. The fourth amendment protects against unreasonable search and seizures. A hidden listening device is considered a search and your home has the highest level of privacy protection. Your need a court warrant for starters. JMO

The FBI can bug your home if they obtain a warrant from a federal judge based on probable cause that evidence of a federal crime will be found. I looked it up.

If Savvanh ever write a book it will be so interesting. Praying for her.

I think her whole family is going to have some serious PTSD over this, no matter the outcome.
Imagine normalcy after this? Imagine letting your kids go sleepover at a friend's. Imagine staying alone. This is going to generate a lot of trauma and I sincerely hope they all get the necessary help after.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the culprits is in Nancy's extended circle. Like maybe the child of a housekeeper or landscaper, or someone on the periphery of her family. Perhaps SG's most recent appeal was geared more toward the housekeeper or landscaper than the actual perpetrators. Because by now the people close to the culprits must have noticed some changes and started putting things together.
Also, the person who suggested Lantana Man may have used the plant to increase his grip? So smart! And possibly quite telling. Not everyone would know that about lantanas.

FBI profilers may have determined the profile is of someone who likes certain genres of movies (eg, sci fi, thrillers, etc). And it also may be how they determined it’s someone living with their mom.

How could Savannah and her team know what movie quotes were meaningful to a stranger/kidnapper?

2 miles in between neighborhoods in Tucson can make a huuuge difference. You can live in a $2M home and 2.5mi away is a bus stop where people are nodding out. It’s a weird place here 😌
BTW, Crime scene in not in Tucson. If it were, the Tucson police would be handling the case and not the Pima County Sheriff.

But if you're innocent and inconvenienced and had nothing to do with it I can understand that. Put yourself in their shoes.

Right. People are mad the family was considered PRIOR to them being cleared today, but other innocent people are not supposed to get upset. They have lives too and their own sets of problems. Frankly, I would not be giddy about it either.

Every day there’s a new “suspect” on social media in this case. First it was TC, then some bandmate, then some electrician, then a couple of randos, and now it’s the Range Rover driver. Tomorrow it’ll be someone else. None of this is coming from law enforcement.

My favorite part is when these influencers confidently accuse a specific person, rack up views, and then quietly delete the post the second it doesn’t pan out, as if the damage they caused just disappears.

I’ve followed too many of these cases to count, and it almost always ends up being someone we’ve never heard of before.

Just be careful with this stuff.

Tucson is a large “small town” and there is a high likelihood the owner of that car knew of Nancy around town. MOO of course.

Tucson is a large city. More populous than Atlanta, or Albuquerque, or Kansas City. Double that population if you count the entire metropolitan area. There’s nothing small about it imo.

I’m conflicted. As a mom I DO I feel a level of compassion for this mom but I’m also ok that mom is upset and son pissed. Anger can lead to saying things out loud that maybe shouldn’t be said and irrational behavior. Regardless if she’s involved or not, she’s rattled and IMO she does know what this is about. You don’t get a federal warrant dropped on your home for nothing. Please. I think watch and wait and see if anything comes of it. MOO

I know that. I am in NG’s neighborhood but we ALL say we live in Tucson, regardless of LE jurisdiction.

Former FBI profiler thinks guy is clearly an amateur and in over his head.

Grusing does not believe the suspect in the Nancy Guthrie case is a sophisticated criminal, and believes that Savannah Guthrie's Sunday message was coached by FBI profilers with that in mind to try to get the suspect to turn himself in.

"I think he got in way over his head with whatever happened with Nancy, and they're hoping that he is panicking enough since his family and friends haven't turned him in," said Grusing. "They're appealing to him directly, like, ‘Look, guy, this is not going away, you just need to summon up the courage in any humanity you have left and do it.’"

Drawing on his decades of experience, Grusing noted the signs of the suspect's amateurishness. The suspect, who was already masked, kept turning his head away from the doorbell camera, and even attempted to obscure the camera's view with brush pulled from a front garden.

Thanks for posting. This is interesting and what we all are saying. The Lantana guy is an amateur. And LE and FBI are hoping he's panicking. MO

I agree but Friday's events seemed too grand for absolutely nothing.

I wonder if the reason LE thinks the person is local is because NG recognized and man and he decided that she would turn him in if he left without her. Why else would you take a barely mobile older person with you?

I’m in the same area as NG and the raid from a few nights ago and I had no idea that I live within walking distance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother’s house. Neither did a few of my coworkers who live in the general area.

earlier today I saw a post with a Ring or Nest Cam video from a porch...it was posted to The Neighborhood App ... it was of a male, with dark hair and beard and he did not have a mask or head covered. He was rummaging through the mail, skulking at the window .... does anyone have a link for that video
I for some reason think this person was said to have been within 1.5 miles of Nancy home

I have gone back through what threads I think I read today and I can't find it.

Atlanta is 5-6 times larger than Tucson.

It could even be a cross reference to backpack + that holster. Wasn’t that also from Walmart?
