I can remember the picture of the container on the bed, but can't remember as to what was in it. Sorry
Was it a storage container?

#LaurenceLovette Closings:"That's what I think about Shanita. She's going to say what she needs to say...she's protecting Shanita," Def says
Hey Jury: "Keep it Simple"
Just because the Defense didn't put on a case, how come they get so much more time? I don't think I remember this in any of the other NC trial I have watched.
"Based on the bricks being insufficient..." the jury should vote not guilty, says Bethea-Shields. She WILL NOT SAY LL didn't do the crime. That speaks volumes.
If he has any chance, this woman is it. She's doing a great job. Can't stand that she got the last word. I wonder if any juror(s) will fall for it. Hope not.
I feel your frustration Borndem. When the defense doesn't have a case it always puts the blame elsewhere. Defense doesn't have facts nor law on its side so it attacks someone else. I think Shanita has been prepared for the attack.
Hope this jury doesn't end its deliberations at 3:30 p.m. each day like the AZ Hulsey/Holly jury.
I wasn't aware of the mistrial. Wow that must have been hard on almost everyone, little babies don't decide to unbuckle themselves and hurl themselves out of a moving vehicle's open window. Seriously I watched the testimony of the newsmen (2 of them) arriving at the scene and thinking it had to be a doll and hearing the pain in their voices. I can't answer my office phone when I am blubbering so I try to catch up before or after hours.
That is a lot to ask for. imo
#2 are they serious they are questioning something. imo
This may not be cut and dry as I thought. imo
Grrrrrr. I have to agree with you on this, Boodles, she is doing a good job.
She's slicing & dicing Shanita and saying some other things that the prosecution could answer easily if they had the chance. Shields has to go for it, yes, but it makes me spitting mad watching her do it. I absolutely believe that she would not have said some of those things if the PT were speaking after her. Oh, well. All for that "one juror." Grrrrrr.
Now I worry.
What was significant about a container on the bed?? Anyone?
Was it a storage container?
bbm. I agree! And I feel she crossed the line, intentionally inserting several "facts" that were not presented in evidence, I think one was about TT's supposed statement to a grand jury. Now, it seems at least one juror is suspicious that they have been shielded from the "real" facts. It was a smart thing (for the defense) to bring up that the jury had not heard anything from the lead investigator.
A defense attorney is supposed to defend a client to protect him from unfair prosecution, not make stuff up. She didn't have to take it so far as to character-assassinate Shanita Love to the extent she did. Implying, if not outright stating that Shanita was there (Carson murder)? That was low and dirty, IMO. I was frankly shocked by how far she took her closing. I had much respect for her up until the last segment of her closing.
