So how did this testimony from the Eve Carson murder get into this trial? I thought it would remain unknown so as not to prejudice the jury or allowed in if the defense inadvertently opened the door thru their questioning?

zoey it makes me nervous. I just hope this defendant is not able to show ineffectual counsel (because the defense attorney opened the door to this testimony, if that is what happened?) and put everyone through this again.

Oates is in state prison at this time... but they can surely get him to come on down to the Durham Co. Courthouse...

Judge ruled on this Wednesday, allowing evidence from Carson trial at this trial.

"It is clear, it is relevant. It is necessary, and the probative value does not substantially outweigh the danger of prejudice," Durham County Assistant District Attorney Storm Ellis told Hardin.
