The abc11 article & YouTube vid is an interview with his sister. She says:

On January 27 he worked out at Fit4Life Gym, and afterward he went to class at Methodist University from about 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

He is studying in the physician assistant program. He worked very hard to get into the P.A. program and is very proud to be in it.

After attending class, he sent a text to a friend saying he was arriving home (in Fayetteville.)

He was supposed to go to class the next day but didn't show up.

When the police did a wellness check at his home, his car was there.

He is a "healthy, hardworking, reliable family man"

"I know what he was doing the day that he disappeared and he was making plans for his life, and studying for exams the next day. I mean, all signs point to him vanishing not on his own accord."

I don’t mean to be overly political, but recent army special forces service and some of the concerns about safety of federal employees personal data, maybe he was really upset that something bad was about to happen to him (whether it was or not) and this impacted his mental health and he felt he needed to leave quickly. JMO

His youtube

His company/job

So he made it home as his car was there. Some questions that come to my mind:
  • Who reported Clint missing? He did not show up to his classes the next day, does this mean it is the M.U. that reported him missing?
  • Why did he text a friend that he was arriving home? No family?
  • Does he live alone?

I work as a fed - pretty high up the "food chain" with a top secret clearance. The safety of our personal data hasn't been breached lately that I have heard of - I think the chinese hacked a bunch of us about 9 years ago but it's been quiet lately as far as I know personally. I'm not military, perhaps that's different.

What concerns me most is the "Green Alert" which is showing up on some of his missing posters and links through US Army groups though I've not found it in a MSM article yet. In 2017 Wisconsin became the first state to pass Green Alert legislation. The Missing Veterans at Risk Act lists 2 criteria that trigger a Green Alert: There is a reason to believe that the veteran at risk is missing due to a physical or mental health condition or that the veteran at risk is missing due to a physical or mental health condition. Green Alerts can be issued on behalf of missing veterans, and active-duty guard and reserve members and thus cover almost all the ranks of US military service.3 When law enforcement receives a report of a missing veteran as defined in the act within 72 hours of their disappearance, a Green Alert is issued. The statute directs the US Department of Justice to permit law enforcement to access the crime notification network to notify the media to broadcast pertinent information about the missing veteran. Here's a link for how the Green alert works in my state of Ilinois: SB1674 104TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

“My brother is a Green Beret and perfectly capable of taking care of himself,” Stefanie Firkins told Dateline. “There’s very suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance.”

*****
Clint had once worked for Motorola but eventually made his way to the Army. “After 9/11, he joined the military,” Stefanie said. Not only was he a Green Beret, “he was also the spokesperson for the Gold Star Families.”

*****
Stefanie says not only did Clint get in to the school, he quickly became the president of his cohort. “He was completely enamored with medicine and excited about his career path,” she said.

*****
On January 29, less than a month into the new year, something happened that immediately caused alarm. “I got a Facebook message from his wife asking if I had spoken to my brother and then telling me that he had not shown up for class two days in a row and that the sheriff had been out to her house four times,” Stefanie recalled.

Stefanie says she learned that Clint’s school had called the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and asked them to conduct a welfare check on him.

*****
“He would not walk away from his life and his school and his daughter,” she (Stefanie) said.

See the linked article for more.

The obvious questions after reading it: Are Clint and his wife separated? Do they live at the same residence? His sister said he would never leave his daughter, she didn't say his wife and daughter, so from that it seems that they might not be together. It sounds like the wife didn't know he was missing until she was contacted by the school. Even after she was contacted, it was the school that contacted the sheriff. In the article, the sister, Stefanie, says that she understands that "the property" has been searched. Stefanie lives in Texas and is doing what she can from long distance.

Thank you, you answered some of my questions

isn’t it unusual a school would do a welfare check on a student for missing two days of class? i wonder if this is common practice, or if they had a reason to be worried about him

i was thinking he might have a place closer to the school during the week? but that’s pure speculation

Is this the area he was last seen in? Any locals that can share what the terrain and weather is like?

His last known address is publicly available via a google search and yes it is in that area, north of it. I would assume that LE believes he went missing after returning home. Jmo

I work for a large state university and not a religious seminary like he was attending. At my university, there wouldn't have likely been a welfare check unless someone called for one or unless he was already on their radar for previous concerns... but given the size of the school and their religious ties, it may be different for them.

Agreed. Most have a policy regarding requests for welfare checks similar to this one from Salve Regina Catholic University in Rhode Island .
From: https://salve.edu/document/wellness-check-protocol
"This protocol is designed for concerns around safety and well-being, or behavior that is out of character. This should not be utilized to rectify attendance issues, but rather for students who may be experiencing other issues that are impacting their ability to participate on campus (homesick, depression, issues at home, etc.). I attended a similar medical graduate program as CB’s physician assistant program: full-time and year-round.

His class is only 40 students and you go to class 40 hours per week with those same 40 people for 3 years. Missing any hours in that type of intensive program can put you behind for your clinicals and exams.

I don’t find it unusual at all that he would be missed and his professors and classmates would immediately know something was off. I was never absent in over 3 years, not once, and if any of my classmates were gone without a known excuse, we would have been knocking down their doors. Jmo

"Known to frequent the Ramsey Street area" Okay.... what do we know about the Ramsey Street area and it's significance?

I know where I speak to some college years, if someone referenced the Dickson Street area, it was the party nightlife zone that attracted many college students but also where too many sadly became alcoholic drug addicts who hit the skids.

Just wondering about Ramsey Street.
