My first thought with this new picture was that it was the guy in the back seat. The hair looks different to me. Then again, I thought about the fact that the guy in the back seat seems to be fairly large, and this new guy is really thin! Could it be the guy driving the other vehicle that is possibly seen? Maybe they were all three in the cadillac, saw Eve either leaving or returning to her apartment and carjacked her, with two of the three getting into her vehicle, and the cadillac (or whatever it is) following. After trying to get money at the ATM machine, they went to the gas station, and the person driving the other vehicle got the card and went inside......leaving the SUV driver and the 'back seat shadow guy' in the SUV with Eve. :waitasec:

Given his track record and the fact LE says he "attempted to use" the ATM in the store with Ms. Carson's card, I would be inclined to think the store clerk was rather fortunate that night.

If I were in LE, I would be asking for video tape from all of the clubs that are frequented by thugs and gang types - whether the real thing or wannabe's. They could possibly have been out in a club prior to going hunting. The club Visions has a MySpace account, and according to news reports has been implicated in the past with gang activity. There are probably lots of clubs that have video tape. Best to get it now before it gets erased.

I'm with you guys, I think it's the same person. I haven't heard any additional talk about the possible Gaston County link. It would not be a really convenient drive by any means. I hope we wake up in the morning to a name!!!!!!!! And an arrest!!!

Not to be rude, but maybe you get bloody when you shoot someone at a close angle. Maybe he shot Eve after giving her one last chance to give him her PIN number and then went to the store to see if it worked. But he couldnt walk in with any blood on his clothing.

Oh, you aren't rude!!! That is actually a valid, and obvious response. I had thought of that, but it just doesn't "feel" right. How many jackets does a take with him when he goes out for a night of carjacking? The second jacket says second person to me.....

I don't think we can tell how large the man in the back is by that photo. To me, it looks like we are seeing an outline of an arm and part of his face rather looking out the other side. This would make the image appear larger.

I think it could very well be the same man in the front seat of the suv and in the convenience store photo. The way he wears the hair pulled back in a puff and his face. The hat and hood combined makes the puff of hair seem more exaggerated. I think the jacket is cloth not leather and could have been in a second vehicle.

Both of these guys are short, aren't they? In the ATM photo, his head doesn't exceed the head rest. In the store photo, he looks shorter than the door?

I say it's the same person too. In the picture of him at the ATM, his big poofy hair is pulled to the side so he can pull his sweatshirt hood up. At the convenience store his hair is pulled back.

Detectives in Chapel Hill just released surveillance photos which show a man who was trying to use Eve Carson's ATM car at a convenience store.
Investigators have also digitally enhanced another photo apparently of the same young man trying to use Carson's card at an ATM.
Each of these pictures were taken the same day the student body president was found dead.

It upsets me to no end that he's brazen enough to casually walk into a 7/11 type store after killing Eve.

I think there were two vehicles. This jacket could have been in the other vehicle and wasn't worn during the shooting. He would have needed a jacket to conceal a weapon.
