Jody and her husband are permanent residents?

So, where was she headed at 5:45 AM on Friday? Where did her husband see her? Did she take off on foot, in the car, or did someone pick her up at her house?

Who reported her missing, and when?

“Mrs. Brock was last seen at her residence on Friday morning, and no one has had contact with her since then,” Captain J. Dixon with the Holden Beach Police Department told WECT.

Judy Brock was first reported missing Friday evening, and Dixon said crews have been working diligently to find her since then. ...

MISSING: Search continues for Holden Beach woman by land, air, and water
"The Silver Alert said Brock is believed to suffer from dementia or another form of cognitive impairment."
She is very involved with the community and doesn't seem the type to just walk away. I'm wondering if the possible dementia has been diagnosed previously or is just a catch all for the silver alert. Something feels wrong but hoping she's found safely very soon.

Yes, they live on the island year round. Holden Beach only includes the homes and businesses over the bridge. The surrounding area and causeway are considered in the town of Supply. Very few year round residents, but close knit community, some spanning back generations.

I'm alerting this post to correct her name to Judy.

It’s been quite a few years since I have been to Holden Beach, at one time had friends with a small place there they rented. Had a drawbridge also.
Hoping Judy is found safe soon.

There doesn't seem to be much information being released or any additional searches being planned. I'm hoping she just needed a break, but it appears very unlikely. I hope LE are following up on leads and just not releasing any details. Praying Judy comes home soon.

No news on Judy unfortunately. It seems eerily quiet, with no details being released or speculation from community members in the small town.

Definitely not the outcome anyone was hoping for and a total shock to her community. Not many murders in the county, especially the islands. Great job by the Holden Beach PD and BCSO.

I wasn't either. When they said she may have dementia or some type of cognitive impairment, I thought there may have been some kind of accident, but not murder. So terribly sad. :(
