What I remember is Ashley Banfield's interview with the sheriff when she asked if there were physical signs of trauma on Mariah's body, and he said that info. would be released when the autopsy results were in.

Would you mind explaining what EDR is busylady? I don't mean in technical detail, but an explanation for a dummy (me)

It is an event data recorder - known to record data with regard to an accident, in talking to someone who deals with the information that is recorded it also records much more and doesn't require an accident to trigger it. Things like speed, mileage, road conditions such as rough like off road vs paved road etc. Apparently some equipment pulls basic info from the EDR, but complex equipment can pull more info to be analyzed which I am sure Quantico has. I don't understand all the technical mumbo jumbo just relaying what I have been told so don't take as fact.

I think a big tell though is LE stating in Kimrey's warrant that EK obstructed justice by "removing Mariah Woods' body from the scene of her death, and did conceal (the) death and body, knowing that (she) died from unnatural causes."
Kimrey allegedly "failed to notify a law enforcement authority of the death of Mariah Woods, and secretly disposed of the dead child's body," according to the warrant. (paraphrased)
So from that i think it can be deduced that upon recovery that she did not die a natural death.

Though accidents are included in "unnatural deaths".

Something happened to her, but we do not know if another person caused her death intentionally or not. I do hope it can be proven conclusively one way or another.

I don't agree that an adult would "never" cover up an accidental death, partly because so many missing children have never been found, so we can't know the true circumstances of their deaths (Lisa, Haleigh, etc). I am sure at the very least that negligence caused most of these deaths, including Mariah, and perhaps worse but just wonder if LE will be able to prove it. Jmo

My first impression when he said that was that she was mostly clothed. I think he would've said "partially clothed" if only found in her panties. JMO.

A reporter asked if she was clothed and he simply said she was. He did not say fully or partially.

Hi all, been unable to check in since my phone stopped working, and haven't had time to hop on a computer in a while. I have a question, please! I noticed at the top of the WS page in the scrolling banner that it says "Mother's boyfriend Earl Kimrey arrested in Murder of three year old Mariah Woods." But I don't see anything about this anywhere else... I know he was arrested for moving the body and concealing her "unnatural" death, but has it been confirmed that she was murdered and has EK truly been arrested for murder now?

Yes i agree, it will take a full examination and tests of Mariah to try and determine exactly what caused her to die, and for the coroner to make a final report and COD determination for any further charges and the death certificate.
And although i also agree that no adult would "never" make an accident look like something more nefarious, i would think that would be a rare occurrence though.

AW accused EK of SA Mariah. This was in court paperwork for the custody suit. Was this filing some time ago or now? Is it in this paperwork where AW says the brother witnessed the SA? Is it believed by the courts or alleged in the courts? I'm just trying to know what are facts and what are allegations. Did the brother tell this to the police upon MW death? So many questions.

This article is a bit misleading starting with the headline.

"Mariah Woods Mother Blaming her Son in North Carolina Toddles Death"

When you read this headline from the International Business Times it sounds official as in the mom said this herself which is not the case.

It's the bio dad, Alex Woods, and his fiance, making this accusation based on what they say the cops told them. This is from a podcast by Nancy Grace recorded a few days ago.

I am going by the article on Nancy's site. Haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast yet.

Is this a rumor? Yes, but it is from the bio dad who claims the cops told him.

So do we call AW a liar and say the cops never said that to him? Not unless the cops come out and make that claim.No, we do not call AW a liar.

If you DO NOT treat this as a cold hard fact then we can allow a discussion as it pertains to Mariah's mom and her possible involvement.

Until there are charges brought against Mom, I believe she has every right to grieve for her daughter. At this point, no one has been charged with her murder and the mother has not been implicated.


I realize that there is a very strong chance that mom was aware of what was going on but there is just as big of a chance that she wasn't or was a victim herself.

That's what I was saying. He was arrested in the murder (case), not charged "for" the murder.
