This sadly does demonstrate that a victims body can be close but not discovered for some time.

Truly heartbreaking regardless, prayers to the family.

exactly. i keep coming back to the fact that the perp likely had no idea how much time he would have before a) she was noticed missing and/or b) he was noticed missing. if her disappearance was planned well in advance by someone with lots of options then sure, she might be well hidden but i just doubt that. i think it was a crime of opportunity or passion and i think it's very very likely the person didn't waste time getting rid of her and getting back to wherever he was supposed to be. if it was nh, he wouldn't have known no one would notice her missing for a length of time so he'd be extremely likely to dump her somewhere quick. unfortunately we see time and time again (mcstay family) how someone can be a few yards off the road and not get discovered for years. for all of the searching all it takes is for the perp to have gone two miles in a direction that doesn't seem to "make sense" and that area might not ever get searched.

anyway, i think she's out there somewhere and i doubt it's somewhere too hard to discover, it will just take someone like the guy on the railroad tracks in fayetteville or the dirt bike rider in the mcstay case to finally see something and report it. sad.

Always thinking about whatever did happen to her...I wonder how thoroughly the barrel in the back was examined, could clothes or her phone been thrown in there and burned?? I would imagine it has been. Could there be any attic space in the building? It has been vacant pretty much since she disappeared.

I think she went missing from her apt complex not from FB.
If something happened to her on that property her scent would have been all over the place. But I don't think it was. JMO

from what we've been told she went missing on the way to her apt from fb. we don't know whether she made it to her apartment or not. le has indicated they don't believe she did.

About the person who was found, Marcella Thompson. She went missing September 23 after leaving her house to run errands. On October 1, a guy was driving her car and crashed it. Afterward, he fled from police.
LE eventually caught him but he's not a suspect in MT's death. Go figure.

I always wonder about the barrels too. Her phone may have been tossed into the fire.
We know LE disassembled the lean-to to examine it for evidence.
If they found Kelli's dna, they would have made an arrest (at least I think so).
Even then, I guess, LE may not be able to prove who she went back there with.
No one, iirc, has described who went out back, how many at a time or if Kelli ever did, when and why.
If they had the barrels lit (we were told they were lit Friday night), then obviously the smokers went out there to smoke. Did Kelli go out there with any of them too?

A big fire may fit in with LE's question about noticing something that may not seem unusual but possibly means something more to LE - like if the fire was producing lots of smoke and was really noticeable from the road.

True but LE didn't treat her apartment carefully either I don't think.
In no time, her family, to include her estranged husband, were living there.
This has always bugged me too.

I believe she made it there!
The person responsible was there waiting! She saw him and got freaked out and asked NH to let her out of his car. She did not want this person to see her with a guy out on a date. I think its someone very close to her and this man was not happy with her!

I think LE knows (this person) was in the area of FB and the apt....This was why they were asking if anyone saw anything around midnight!

surely no one is referring to family members? (who have not been named suspects or persons of interest) <--- just checking

I'm pretty sure the fire barrels were thoroughly examined. If her phone was in there elements of it would have remained. They watched FB pretty close afterwords. A few weeks after a fire was started in the barrel and within 15 min. the FD was there to put it out and said to keep it out. That was the same night that guy came in claiming to be her dad.

Interesting but kind of scary.

http://www.wkyt.com/home/headlines/...ng-person-cases-may-be-related-239509891.html

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Florida private investigator says he believes more than a dozen missing persons cases from Kentucky and surrounding states may be connected.

The faces of the young women on Bill Warner's blog are similar but behind each smile is a different family searching for answers.

I do not think it was random and I do not think it was NH.I think he is the perfect scape goat for this crime he came on a silver platter...

I could be totally wrong but Im not feeling the NH connection.
All JMO

If he did it I think she would have been found.
I believe she will be found out of state!

Imo, it wasn't random, but was NH, but due to a less than competent investigation by LE, KB hasn't been located nor justice served after almost twenty two months..
I am confident that KB will be located and justice served.. Victims will speak and guide those that will simply listen, imo..
"I truly believe this"..

Kelli has been missing since April 2012. That's a lot more than ten months...
I'm local, I also think that NH is somehow involved...

Thanx for the correction. ClaireNC.. I edited my post to state twenty two months.. Knew it seemed like longer than ten months. I am sure it has been for her family and loved ones...
